i tried steins gate on both my laptop and desktop with K-Lite and it works well for me (pc with win 7 ultimate and laptop with xp sp3) from what i can tell K-Lite working well with all anime/vn i've been playing so far although it may not be the best for tv show program cause i'm not too picky about that thing(i just use MPC/VLC to watch any tv show actually) you can tweak your K-Lite to get the best results but it will require some knowledge about that and if you mess with it some codecs may not working properly also i think that in erogedownload a user say that haali media splitter can ca

i played steins gate from erogedownload and it's working fine for me and make sure you follow the complete installation of steins gate guide there the only problem i found is the untranslated tips in game(don't ever click that or you will get error with your game) if it's related to codec try to complete uninstall whatever codec you use, reboot your pc and install K-Lite, and then reboot cause some codecs may conflict if you install from different sources try it and see if it can help you....

it's still in flyable heart at erogedownload page i've checked the font links and its still works, but i dunno how long it would last so better download and save that font for further use so just combine those guides and it should work...hopefully(can't recall, it's been a while for me though)

ulti's guide: its simple..after you install.. move the game folder away from install directory... the jap named folder crashes the game.. aftor the move...just apply the patch and you are good to go~ or 1º Download the English patch , install it. 2ºdownload the font – http://www.twoevils.org/files/fonts/MISCFS__.TTF put it on Windows/Fonts 3º Play *—*

better backup your clannad save data first to see if it works when patch comes out cause sometimes new patch didn't recognize or not working properly with your old save game... don't worry, most vn save game only take a very little of your disk space (several kb or mb usually)
