  1. (Edited in 2 hours later) I should have probably mentioned this first as a likely culprit. If this does not work, try the full explanation below: The FIRST time you actually try to run the game, you need to have the disc image mounted to simulate having the actual disc in the optical drive to pass some sort of DRM check. AFTER the first time, that is no longer necessary. ------------------------------- As I don't read Japanese, the only help I can give you is to describe the actions I took. I used the link provided by littleshogun in his visual novel translation status updates: Link to the post The acutal download link in that post The .rar archive contains a folder at root level called "Giniro Haruka". Inside that folder is a folder titled "2. Main Game". The "2. Main Game" folder contains a .mdf/.mds disc image file pair. Those are the only files from the link provide by little shogun that I actually used. In fact, I forgot about the "Crack" folder also located along the .mdf/.mds files during my installation process and never touched it. So I'm not sure that it is actually needed. Also inside "Giniro Haruka" folder from the .rar archives was a folder called "1. DAEMON Tools Lite". I did NOT use that folder. In point of fact, during the .rar archive extraction process, my virus checker took exception to that folder. I already had DAEMON Tools Lite installed on my computer sourced from the actual DAEMON Tools website. I suggest you get it from the official sources anyways as it's free ware. As for the English patch file, I went to the vndb.org page for Gin'iro, Haruka and followed this link from Daybreak Translations to get the patch from its official source. At this point, I am assuming you are familiar with the concept of disc image files and how to use them with software such as DAEMON Tools Lite and you are also familiar with how to switch you computer to region settings to Japanese. As for installing the program, you need to change your computer system local to Japanese BEFORE attempting the actual install from the disc images. Unfortunately, the installer is entirely in Japanese (it IS a Japanese program) but it should be fairly straight forward to guess "OK" from "Cancel". The whole process follow the basic standard Windows software installation and doesn't do anything particularly weird. Make sure you note where it's installing the game so you can find it. On my computer, it defaulted to "C:\Program Files (x86)\toneworks\銀色、遥か". I will refer to the location as the "Game Folder" hence forth. The English patch folder downloads as a .zip archive (similar in concept to a .rar archive and most windows computers can open them natively in a standard file explorer window as if they were any other folder in my experience). In side that .zip file is a folder given the unimaginative name "Gin'iro Haruka Full ENG Patch". Copy everything EXCEPT for the "README.txt" file from that folder to the game folder. This will cause a large number of file overwrites as the "g00" and "mov" folders from the patch merge with the "g00" and "mov" folders from the game folder. Use the "Launcher.exe" file provided by the patch to start the game. SPECIAL NOTE: The FIRST time you launch the game, the disc image files still need to be mounted in DAEMON Tools Lite. After this, it is not longer necessary to mount the disc image files. Other than that, remember to have your computer region settings to Japanese before trying to run the game. I have not had any issues since then.
  2. For a character that is a native English speaker and doesn't speak any Japanese at all, Bethly's father sure has a lot of Japanese audio dialogue. Sure, the written text on the screen would have been in Japanese for the benefit of the originally intended Japanese player audience, but I should be HEARING a lot more English than I am. Even the scenes where it's just father and daughter alone speaking to each other, I'm still hearing a lot of Japanese and a distinct lack of English.
  3. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I do know about ryuugames, but every time I have tried to download something from them, I never get as far as a download, just a bunch of adds. I can't figure out how to make that site work.
  4. @littleshogun In august of last year, you produced a miracle and found a source for Walkure Romanze. Any chance you have got another miracle lying around in your bag and can produce a source for Gin'iro Haruka?
  5. Requesting Gin'iro Haruka The patch is supposed to release on April 26th. Please please please.
  6. @Ivan The radio buttons are back to being tabs, so that got fixed, but there is something I didn't catch at the time I made the original post so it wasn't in my report. The "reactions" (Thanks, Ha Ha, WTF!?, etc.) aren't quite working right.

    Blue Mage Luna

So far, this game is actually readable despite the MTL tag. I'm still in the prologue of this game, so everything I say is tentative, but this game appears to be a chronological sequel to Knights of Messiah. Several characters are mentioned by name. I have no idea if they will make an appearance at any point, this game and that one do seem to exist in the same world.
  8. @Ivan FYI: As of when I'm writing this, something has gone wonky with the page layout of the pages where you provide links to download the page. I THINK it's not on my end, as I've closed and opened my browser and even rebooted my computer. I'm attempting to attach a screen shot for reference: (Look at me! I'm getting high tech here. Not only did I manage to attach a screenshot, I even managed to mark it up to highlight the points of interest. Go me!) In the event the screen shot didn't actually upload, this was the page I was using for reference: https://erogegames.com/downloads/visual-novel/maid-of-the-dead-r2510/ The "tabs" for "Download"/"Free Download"/"Screenshots" etc. have been replaced by radio buttons that don't actually switch between anything and leave everything displayed by default. Of course, with my luck, by the time I'm done writing this and post it, you'll have fixed whatever went wrong. Anyways, now that you seen this, feel free to delete the picture to free up the server space.
  9. @littleshogun FYI, Something didn't appear to format correctly.
  10. If you happen to get the opportunity, I would appreciate it if you could upload the H-RPG "The World's Egg - For Those Who Dream". Steam link for reference purposes: The World's Egg - For Those Who Dream
  11. @littleshogun Did you mean to put "Amanatsu" under the "Complete" section?

Several HUNDRED save files? May I suggest going to consult a doctor about Obsessive/Compulsive disorder?

    Curse Errant

I've encountered a game crashing bug and am seeking help. I've started a proper thread in the tech support section of the main forum:
  14. I'm trying to play Curse Errant but have run into a game crashing bug very early. Just after you complete and the prologue/tutorial and give the letter of introduction to innkeeper, you unlock you first set of side quests. When I go to talk to the black smith just off to the right of the inn who gives you one of the first side quests, the game consistently crashes several lines of dialogue in. Is this happening to anybody else, indicating there is something wrong the with game itself, or just me, indicating some sort of computer hardware incompatibility on my end?

Oy! What does one game need with 128 save slots?! I can appreciate having ten, or even twenty, to give you lots of "check point" saves, but will anyone ever have a serious use for even 40 slots?
  16. Does anyone know if there is anyway to unlock the H-content in this game other than loosing to a boss battle and having the protagonist get violated?
  17. Thank you for the upload.
  18. Steam link for reference purposes: "Dark Elf Historia" I know I'm being a little ambitious with this request as the game only released today. If you can't find it or aren't planning to upload it in the first place, I would be grateful if you could let me know such before March 11th. The game is currently on sale until then.

    Prism Fantasy

Surprisingly, the machine translation on this title isn't horrible. Mind you, it's far from perfect, but still easily readable. The biggest screw ups I've seen in the early parts of the game seem to be less issues of translation and more quality control on the original design. When I found "hidden" items in a barrel and rose bush, in both instances the game said I found a "potion" but that's not what got added to my inventory. The other error had to do with traveling on the world map. When I selected the first town, it game me a yes/no prompt asking if i wanted to go the forest I just left. I still ended up in the town, not the forest. These errors make me think the problem is not so much with the translation as with original Japanese (presumed original language) version of the game. Does the original Japanese say "potion" and "forest" in the same places?
  20. Either machine translation technology has improved dramatically since I last tried a title that used it, or some body has done a half-way decent job of editing the translation. Either way, this title, while far from perfect, is entirely readable. You'll need to pay attention to situation context in a few places to mentally correct pronoun usage, but this is not unreadable by any means. Full disclosure: I'm still on my first play through, and am currently playing an innocent route. It's possible that later in the game or on a non-innocent play through, the quality of the translation takes a serious nose dive.
  21. Ivan, If you happen to get your hands of a copy of "The Lord of Isekai Brothels", I would appreciate it if you uploaded it here. Steam link for reference purposes: "The Lord of Isekai Brothels"
