  1. Two more characters sneaking into Riddle Joker. This time we have Maniwa Roka on the left, also from Senren * Banka and Shiiba Tsumugi on the right from Sabbat of the Witch, though I couldn't find any decent reference pictures of either of them in those outfits to confirm it. Couldn't find any pictures to of them in those out fits to confirm their identity.
  2. In Riddle Joker, the major heroine Tomotake Yoshino from Senren * Banka makes an appearance as a faceless background character in one of the background images, again in a train station. I guess that's how they're traveling about from one VN to another. The silver haired girl with the yellow shirt and purple skirt more or less right in the middle of the picture. Here's a picture of her from Senren * Banka take from VN's Nekonyan Soft web page.
  3. In Cafe Stella, the minor side character Kariya Wakana from Sabbat of the Witch makes an appearance as a faceless background character in one of the background images used for the train station. She's on the hard right edge of the screen. Here's a picture of her from Sabbat of the Witch via a google search.
  4. So I've noticed that characters from Yuzu Soft VNs make a discreet appearances in other Yuzu Soft VNs . I figured I'd upload the evidence here for kicks and giggles. Edit: April 6th 2022, 1:15 AM EST Most of these pictures so far are from Cafe Stella since that's what I'm reading right now, but I remembered a few other instances from other VNs and dug them up.
  5. So this is just a minor pet peeve in VN design in general, not specific to this title save for the fact this title is also guilty of it. I'm not sure what the proper name for this is but if this were a console video game I would call it a loading screen. The game makers go to the trouble of making a nice bit of artwork to use in transitions from one scene to the next, but transition away from it automatically so fast you don't have a time to truly appreciate it. It should wait on a click of the mouse or some such BEFORE continuing on. As I'm getting fed up with this, I managed to take a decent
  6. Fun fact: The minor side character Kariya Wakana from Sabbat of the Witch makes an appearance as a faceless background character in one of the background images used for the train station. She's on the hard right edge of the screen, but she matches her sprite from Sabbat right down to the outfit. To help identify which BG image I'm referring to it's the same BG image that is up when the protagonist gets into the accident mentioned in the above description of the game.
  7. Finally got it to cooperate. Manually point the V1.060 updater to <DRIVE LETTER>:\...\WarsAndRoses\WarsAndRosesV1.050 where the "WarsAndRoses" folder is the top most folder layer that came out of the .rar archives. It doesn't seem to be able to find it on it's own even if you copy and paste the updater to that location. I'm assuming that the V1.070 updater will work the same. (Yeah, I know, by making that assumption, I just shot my self in the foot. It won't work the same.)
  8. I just got done downloading and extracting Wars and Roses: The .rar archives contain three folders, "WarsAndRosesV1.050", "UpdateV1.060", and "UpdateV1.070". The V1.060 contains an updater, but when i run it, it can't automatically find whatever it's looking for to know where to apply the update files, and it's not given me and hints on where to point it. I've tried copying and pasting it into several likely places in the "WarsAndRosesV1.050" folder but it still hasn't found what it's looking for. Does anybody know where I need to copy and paste it to, or where to point it
  9. Just a suggestion, perhaps you should add Gin'iro Haruka under the "New Projects This Week" section since, while it's technically not "new", it is returning after a very extended absences that it might as well be new. Does anybody know off the top of their head (without having to dig through god knows how many weeks and months of old threads) just how long Gin'iro Haruka HAS been a dead project?
  10. Did the translator come back? I thought this was a dead project.
  11. I've only played the prologue and am still exploring the town on "Day 1", but so far this game has a quality translation (assuming it wasn't English to begin with).

    Blazing Aries

Is this one of those titles where the H-scenes are primarily the heroine getting violated upon defeat?

    Evenicle 2

Useful tidbit of info for this title, you NEED a mouse to play this game. There are keyboard controls to mange dialogue and the text history, and you can use the arrow keys or WASD for basic map movement, but there are no keyboard controls for menu navigation or combat.
  14. Or you could act like the veteran member of this site, which you apparently aren't, and do a quick search by title to come up with the link to download it here for free BEFORE you suggest he spend money. https://erogegames.com/downloads/extras/pretty-soldier-wars-ad-2048-r165/ The only reason I didn't do that already was because all three of those titles are older posts from the original forum style that didn't translate well to the new forum style and doesn't include any of the art work. I defaulted to the vndb.org links because they included screenshots that would be
  15. I don't recall playing anything that fits that description myself, but I do recall seeing these titles that might be it. Pretty Soldier Wars AD 2048: https://vndb.org/v127 Critical Point: https://vndb.org/v145 This one probably isn't what you are looking for as I have played it and it doesn't have any tactical game play, but I'm including just in case. Soul Link: https://vndb.org/v617
  16. On the page for "Overly Qualified Ms. Mary", You've got the three part download option listed under the "Download" Tab and the non-free 1.3GB single file option listed under the "Free Download" tab.

Since I can't, in good conscience anyways given I'm a software pirate, exactly write a letter to Alicesoft congratulating them on intelligent, not so much software design but PRODUCT design, I'll leave an ode to them here. First thing they did right: They actually included a comprehensive instruction manual! (@Ivan Thank you for taking the time to include it.) I thought this to be an extinct art form, but apparently rare examples of this species can still be found in obscure corners of the world! Second thing they did right: The instruction manual actually tells you whe

While I'm not familiar with the distinctions between the Steam version and the JAST version, or if their are other versions as well, note at the top of this page, Just below the the large font size heading "Evenicle 2", the tag "Adult only". That's a very good indication that this is NOT the all ages version with the H content cut out.
  19. *Bump* Sorry, I'm indulging my obsessive compulsive tendencies by putting these forum threads back in chronological order before littleshogun posts his next Status update thread.
  20. Fun Fact: If you pay attention to the VN's Logo that shows up from time to time between scenes, you'll notice a sub-title in obnoxiously small print (It's technically in the box cover art on this very page up above, but forget reading it, unless you know what your looking at, you can't even recognize it as text.) I FINALLY managed to parse what it says. For anyone who cares, it reads "I'll find my way home".
  21. Very minor spoiler regarding a link between this VN and both "Primal Hearts" VNs. In fact, I'm not even sure this actually counts a spoiler, but I'll put in a spoiler box just to be absolutely safe.
  22. The fan disc is built into this title. In fact, I litterally just started it. However, it is locked behind the "base game". If you want to play, I suggest just enabling the skipping of unread text and blasting through the four "base game" routes. The enforced playing order, hidden by a spoiler box, is: During the segments where you make a choice, you'll notice the heroines faces appear alongside some of the choices. During one such segment, the face of the teacher "Yomise Tokino" shows up as if she is a heroine. I'm 90% certain you have to select that choice as part o
  23. I'll start with the conclusion: Given your statement "I dont deal well with overly dramatic stories." this probably isn't the VN for you. It is closet to Sakura no Mori Dreamers by virtue of the fact I haven't played the other two. I started bible black but got discouraged by it's lack of good ends, or at least the difficulty of finding the good endings and Saya no Uta, if it's the title I'm thinking of, seems to be overly depressing and filled with gore, so I didn't even touch that one. These are minor spoilers, as you pretty much figure it out very early into the comm
  24. Now that I've played 2 and a half routes, I feel I can provide an informed answer to your question. The story has a much darker theme than the rom-com about high class society that the description and tags suggest. While there are certainly rom-com elements present, I would not claim that to be the heart of this VN. As of the two and a half routes I've read, it does NOT get into gore or depravity, but don't expect a lighthearted fluffy romance. Major spoilers follow about the overall plot, but not much about specific characters, read at your own risk.
