In what order did you play the routes? I played Kotori, Chihaya, Chizuru, Lucia and Akane. Kotori route was too sad, so when I played Chihaya I found it was better since it wasn't depressing or anything (and Chihaya's "brother" was cool). Chizuru was sad too (the end in particular), Lucia was great (but Kotarou was really dense in that route), and finally Akane route was interesting. I guess it's ok if I don't like the endings since there should be a "true end" with the last 2 routes : I can't wait. So I'd say Lucia=Chihaya>Akane>Kotori=Chizuru. The kind of programs you are looking for are needed by translation projects to edit scripts or cg, so there should be some working for the engines of all the games that have been translated so far. You should ask on translations teams forums, or other translators forums; I think there are some on tlwiki...

Yeah unlimited has only one route and the ending is mostly the same whatever girl you choose, but some scenes do change. ITH should be better, even more so if you play recent games. You even have the possibility to use agth codes in case ITH doesn't automatically find the text strings. I only had compatibility problems with old games that only worked with agth.
