  1. Thanks, I'll try this. Edit: That did it, thanks.
  2. I've been getting this error message when I run Yumina http://puu.sh/4gbuN.png Any solutions?
  3. DRM-free, no need for crack. Just needs to be uploaded and shared. F5ing sukebei.nyaa and erogedownload since I won't be having internet this weekend and next week..
  4. And the Goddess arc is now nearing completion. Chihiro and Ayumi. The epic climax. When I was reading the manga, this part hit me hard RIGHT IN DA KOKORO. Now it's the anime's turn. Let's see how it pans out.
  5. I wish I can read moonrunes, this title has been in my want-to-reads since reading Muv-Luv and watching Ayu Mayu Gekijou (kinda like Carnival Phantasm for age, watch it for lulz).
  6. Reading Harukoi Otome. I needed a palate cleanser after Air, and this newly released title from MG fits the bill. Feels like Otoboku, with everyone throwing "Gokigenyou" and "Watakushi" all over the place, but since the protag is an honest-to-goodness dude, it was satisfactory enough. I started with Riru's route. She's basically a bro with yuri tendencies, so the protag and her are perfect since you're both uncouth and after girls. Her violent moments are pretty cute too. I enjoyed her character a lot. Overall, this is a very enjoyable VN, but suffers a mutual complaint I have with Koihime Musou, that being unable to use Alt-Tab or Alt-Enter (I have to use the Fullscreen/Window setting in the options menu everytime). It might not get high scores, but it's still a decent VN release from MG that isn't a nukige.
  7. Sengoku Rance and Kamidori Alchemy Meister are good examples. Kamidori will need tons of grinding though, typical of a JRPG.
  8. Hmm, slow week for eroges... I'll just entertain myself with mainstream game releases for now...
  9. Just finished, after a very agonizing week, Air. I used Gao Gao's beta translation patch. here's my initial thoughts. link Reading Summer and Air arcs, the quality doesn't change much. It's better than Konosora's localization (without restoration patch) at the very least, and this is still a beta patch, mind you. I'll be reporting on typos and points to edit to the TLs anyway. Now on to the story. First things first, this VN is sad. I won't bother making this a spoiler since the very essence of a Key VN is to warrant heart-rending emotions one way or the other. But while Kanon, Clannad, Little Busters! and Rewrite have their soul-tearing moments, this one is a different monster altogether. This VN displaces Clannad, MLA, ef and all other tear-inducing VNs I've read and takes the top spot in my "#1 Saddest VN list". Just a personal opinion you have a choice to respect or disregard, but it's something coming from me. I've seen it posted somewhere, probably in this very forum, that "If Clannad made you cry enough tears for a week, Air will make you cry for a month". I think I get what they meant now. This is Key and Jun Maeda at its best, making you cry. I think they've even overdone it. Bring tissues. And that comment is not for the H. This is Key we're talking about. This is a pre-Clannad VN, so the first PC releases come with H. Just not good ones. The story can do without them, just implying that they did it would have sufficed. This VN isn't for people who hate crying. If you don't like your soul being crushed with despair every time you think about this title, you can read other, more-recommended VNs from Key. If you need catharsis once in a while, this VN will bring out your manly tears. And I finally finished the walkthrough! Here's a 100% CG walkthrough, based on the choices on the beta translation + TL correction on a mistranslation
  10. WTF, the latest episode (6) is just full of WIN! It was lackluster at the beginning, sure, only with the appearances of Caster, Rider and the occasional fanservice from Rin, Luvia and loli Ilya tiding me over... And then Episode 6 happens. Sorry for the poor quality, It's the NicoNico version I was watching...
  11. Don't think so, I've only seen fan-translated and old Hirameki stuff in that place, if we're on the same wavelength. No MG or JAST there except Konosora which is distro'd by MG.
  12. No results so far, Nyaa doesn't seem to have the english Mangagamer version uploaded yet. Try to make do with the downloadani.me version Ivan put effort into sharing with us ungrateful leechers. And there's no crack yet.
  13. Reading Gao Gao's beta translation of Air. Before anything else, I must say there's nothing that I've read so far that points to a machine TL, and contrary to the rumors, I'm sure it isn't. You get the inconsistent honorifics and the typographical errors sometimes, but it's not that bad that it detract you from the story (and this is still a beta TL, so it can still be fixed). There's just one wrongly translated choice I've seen so far (see my tentative walkthrough on Dream arc on the spoiler below). Currently almost done with Minagi route, already finished Misuzu and Kano. On to the Summer arc next. Tentative walkthrough for DREAM arc derived from AIR U—ª by ‹ðŽÒ‚ÌŠÙ and matched with Gao Gao's translation
  14. Don't worry, koestl will get back to translating Meikyuu after some well-deserved R&R and Rakuen after Meikyuu. If you want them untranslated, you can search for the raw version at NyaaTorrents. Expect the Meikyuu release late next year and Rakuen in 2015 (if all goes smoothly and real life AND DxS doesn't screw koestl's translation progress over).
  15. Only the depositfiles link seems to work and the DL speed is horrible on regular. I hope the torrent is coming along well. I want to betatest such a long-awaited translation of a classic, especially since it's from KEY, MT rumors notwithstanding.
  16. Agreed. And a meganekko girl.
  17. Here's a few Grisaia GIFs I made https://erogegames.com/social/forum-games/785-rate-avatar-above-you-49/#post58059
  18. 10/10 for my own creation, LOL here's some more Grisaia GIFs, all less than 150x150 pixels/64 kB for avatars. I might make a Tunafish Man vs General Spareribs fight GIF, but I have no idea how to keep the file size down while keeping the quality decent.
  19. Moar michiru! 10/10 I changed mine again, I think I'll make a gif out of the icons next. You can have my old avatar if you want:
  20. ^R. Dorothy! 8/10 Gotta show off my Michiru GIF.
  21. Finally finished Grisaia no Kajitsu after a week. The heroines are interesting and I love Michiru's route in particular. I don't get the hate for Amane though. With that said, my most highly-rated VNs usually have a true route, like Clannad, Muv Luv series, Steins;Gate, etc... Having individual heroine routes but having sequels in the series makes me a bit uncomfortable. But Grisaia is designed to be like that. We get glimpses of a bigger picture in all this, hyping Kazami Yuuji into a protag we want to see with 100% of his awesomeness in action. Sadly, the only route that offers this is Makina's route, and we can't even say that this is Yuuji's maximum capability, as he is limited by the circumstances (still awesome though). I have high hopes that Meikyuu and Rakuen will combine those subtle hints and come full circle with the big picture, while Yuuji goes off into action, smitten heroines in tow. Now we wait for the next installment, Grisaia no Meikyuu. A deeper look into Yuuji's past and more chances for the characters to shine is always welcome.
  22. I was actually thinking about a few things that were mentioned which I thought would have been a way out. @censuur And I think you're overestimating their capabilities.
  23. Saa, dore-dore... Well, that was boring..
  24. Refer to this post for my initial thoughts Finished Konosora and used the 1.0 Restoration patch. Common route was well sorted-out, but once you enter a route, the translation starts flying all over the place. Ageha's route seems to suffer the most from it, but it doesn't detract me from her hilariousness. Thankfully, the broken English is only on the initial parts of the individual routes. The aforementioned Ageha route has also been restored back to its original 18+ plot. The CGs in this game are beautifully drawn. There are animated parts, although typical of VNs, the 3D animations look like they're done with software from the 90s. The CG review however WILL get messy due to the additional CGs added in by the restopatch. The music is probably my favorite part of the game. Too bad either Moenovel or the restopatch fucked up the coding and I can see only 26 out of the 28 songs from the OST in the BGM review. OR there's an Omake track in the OST that I don't know about. In any case, I can't see the ED track Perfect Sky in my BGM review. My favorite routes in order: 1. Kotori 2. Yoru 3. Ageha 4. Amane 5. Asa I'll mention again, most of my criticisms are already posted here. On the other routes, there wasn't really anything big or major that I hated on. Asa's route feels a bit quick though, and not enough conflict happens after the branching-off point to make it a memorable route. A bit like Ryou's route in the Fujibayashi twins branching in Clannad. Yoru's route was much better than Asa's IMO because of the character development in her part, "holding flowers in both hands". Amane's route wasn't quite memorable either, considering that Kotori's route was a prerequisite in unlocking Amane's. I prefer to play the best routes last, so it was kind of a bummer for me. Overall, if I can concentrate on understanding the spoken Japanese when the English goes on the way to the toilet, I can give the game a decent 6.8/10. I recommend this title to anyone who enjoyed Hoshizora no Memoria. The restoration patch wasn't so bad, but Aaeru should at least fix the onomatopoeias on the sex scenes and RusAnon for the broken Gallery menu. And better TLC, QC and proofreading to those helping the project.
  25. Ugh, who the hell directly translates Japanese onomatopoeias anyway? "peropero" is only cute when girls lick ice cream, IMO. Will probably 100% the whole thing though, always had a VN completion OCD. I'm doing Ageha next.
