There's nothing strange in comparing side & true routes. You even admit that true route is better. (That, in itself is a comparison of some sort) And believe it or not, there is a time where side route in a VN is actually better than true route. Furthermore, having a strong true route is no excuse for making weak side routes. ^^ You meant excluding the only thing that makes me rate this VN a 9/10? Err... Well, to each his own. I will agree with this. [spoiler=Kanon]I did not predict her to accept that stupid result the judge makes. Kanon really has grown up at that time, and I'm very happy to see it. *shed tears*
-
Heh.
-
Btw OMA, I think that pic might need to be spoiler tag cuz [spoiler=G-Sen]that background is a spoiler. It implies that either Kanon or her onii-chan (Kousuke) is in prison or is being detained in a police station.
-
Even if I think that the way the storyline builds up to reach that result is a bit imperfect, I really liked that "part" too. XD
-
All the side routes are mediocre. I disagree. Her route is trying too hard to be "deep," but it fails. Kanon description of ice skating is mostly wrong and inaccurate. However, ice skating description is a mundane point to begin with, not worth discussing. And if that is supposed to make her route special, that's just sad. That said, it's her family relationship and character "development" (and I use this word very lightly) on her own route that I liked about, much more than Tsubaki that is. Granted, it wasn't that good. She's the worst "main character" (rofl) in G-Senjou, ever. (Aizawa Eiichi isn't main, so he doesn't count) Mizuha is just a background character in most chapters, and even during the true route in chapter 4, she exists only to serve [spoiler=G-Sen]moving the kidnapping plot for Tokita Yuki as the damsel in distress and nothing more. And her "development" on her own route came out of nowhere. lol Tokita Yuki has much more character depth than she ever has. I'll agree with this, though.

I'll respect your opinion. However, I'll have to say that YU-NO has awesome plot among all VNs that has ever been translated until now. Koihime Musou is awful (to some extent), while Sengoku Rance is fucking epic. Anyway, have fun with your game. (: That is all.

Not really. Yea, it's just a plot device, anyway.

I actually liked Kanon's route. Though simply liking something doesn't imply that it's good. It just means there's something in it that appeals to me.

^ Same thing goes for Mizuha for that matter.

Lenght - Long (Between 30-50 hours) - VNDB List My recommendation (all fully translated): Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- - from Favorite. If you like loli, you will love this VN. Steins Gate (15+) - from Nitro+. However, I heard installing and making it run properly is kind of troublesome, though some people said they'd never experience such problem, so I guess it is mostly depends on the computer itself. Tsukihime - by Nasu from TYPE-MOON. Also, you should search or ask for Tsukihime music files and how to add it into the game, since the original VN doesn't have music. ef - a fairy tale of the two. - from Minori. Sengoku Rance - from Alice Soft. It's my most favorite gameplay VN. (It has a story yes it does.) Kira☆Kira - from Overdrive. Probably, the only decent VN that Overdrive ever made. Zanmataisei Demonbane - from Nitro+. Remember11 -the age of infinity-, Never7 -the end of infinity-, and Ever17 -the out of infinity- (all 15+) - of the Infinity Series. I don't know about the other two titles, but I've heard a lot of praise for Ever 17. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (all-ages) - by Ryukishi07. You can also use the PS2 patch for it if you wanted to play with nice art. Try search or ask for the PS2 patch link. Muv-Luv - The prequel of Muv-Luv Alternative. You have to read this first before you read MLA. Lenght - Very Long (>50 hours) - VNDB List My recommendation (all fully translated): Muv-Luv Alternative - Muv-Luv Alternative is currently the No.1 VN in VNDB so anyone with half a brain should at least be curious about it. Clannad (all-ages) - from Key. This title is pretty famous, so there isn't much to talk about that people doesn't know already. Fate/stay night - by Nasu from TYPE-MOON. Another very famous title. *OP played it already* Rewrite (all-ages) - by Tanako Romeo, Ryukishi, and Tonokawa Yuuto from Key. It was translated by Ixrec from Amaterasu. (I'm playing it right now. lol) Little Buster (all-ages) - from Key. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai (all-ages) - by Ryukishi07. It's the sequel of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. You can also use the PS2 patch for it if you wanted to play with nice art. Try search or ask for the PS2 patch link. You can also check Harlequin spoiler-free review in here if you want some general information/background regarding this VN. Kono Yo no Hate de Koi wo Utau Shoujo YU-NO - by Kanno Hiroyuki from Elf. Also one of the best VN ever according to most people, a 10/10 material. In the meantime, you can also check Harlequin review for YU-NO in here Umineko no Naku Koro ni & Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru (both 17+) - by Ryukishi07. However, the PS3 patch (which will replace the art and sprite) still haven't come out yet, so if you think you can stand the current art, you can play it now. Otherwise, feel free to wait for the PS3 patch like the rest of us.

Yea, I know. There's still BW, hence, the word "probably". (And I wanted to tease Harlequin with a "bad news" post.) lol : > Btw, if I'm not wrong, shouldn't it be like this? -

^ Well, don't take everything too seriously. lol In another news, Gundam Ace will be going on a trip for two weeks, so there probably won't be any update for I/O during that period. Umikaze Translation signed on with VNS to edit Hatsuyuki Sakura. (btw, where's my Kanogi update damnit!?) : -

The fact that the installer doesn't ask you to insert disc 2 already shows that there's something wrong. Have you completely removed and deleted all the stuff that you'd copied earlier before you tried to install it properly on your second attempt? Yea, you're supposed to run it INSIDE the rewrite folder.

^ Very amusing, huehuehue. That said, the point in the quote is quite clear. Moogy admitted that he started translating it again because he doesn't want Ixrec to ruin Dra+Koi. And almost everything in oliavito's post #53 revolved around this. Post #55 however, implies that oliviato's reached this conclusion based on a out of context quoting, therefore linking him to the actual thread. Which in my opinion, is pretty pointless since it makes no differences. That is all. Grisaia no Kajitsu deadline is 5/24? Hohoho~~ (x Oh and, Spider Lily Translation released an updated translation "English Patch v1.2" for Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni - The First Night last week, so anyone who wants to read Higanbana - The First Night should use this new patch. -
