Then how about Majikoi ?The translation is unfinished but you can read 70 % of the story. It is a good VN but it doesn't suck you in. The atmosphere similar to little busters(friendship theme). -

As long as they make the protagonist to choose a girl in the anime,fan service poses no problem. Just don't become like dacapo 2(i am really upset when they make koko x protagonist pair and just lets it hanging ) Dacapo 1 was really great(I Love Nemu and Sakura)
