  1. You mean the game? It's for PS3 and 360 otherwise I wouldn't be able to own both versions.
  2. My taste in women? Mashiro, obviously.

Although I don't have a real picture of an ideal woman in my head because I don't want to limit myself in that regard. I do prefer some traits but it's not that I instantly dislike a heroine if she doesn't have trait xy. Mashiro is my waifu, that's true, but this doesn't automatically mean that I also like all characters who are like her. My inofficial second waifu for example (Mary) is totally different from Mashiro but I still like her a lot.

So yeah, I'm complicated and maybe I'll end up liking Sachi as well, who knows?

  3. Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen http://i1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc486/OneManArmy369/dragons_dogma_wallpaper_background_class_game_rpg_sorceror_zpsjemldyzv.jpg So usually I'm not a huge fan of IGN reviews but this one is actually pretty damn good and also resembles my own opinion on it. I'll write some comments here and there but if you just want to read the review with some additional videos you can click on this link -the character creation part of the game is insane, you can even give your character heterochromia -you can change the appearance and gender of your character during the game -fighting those beasts is indeed awesome but it becomes a little bit annoying at the late game because you know you can beat them but you also know it's going to take a loooong time -the ending is more than just bonkers, it's mindfucking and one of the best game endings I've seen so far -as for the quests, yeah, pretty repetitive but I didn't mind them because the quests were for me just a reason to explore another part of the amazing looking world (not the caves though, most of them are ugly) -it really depends how you look at those pawns because for me there were just tools to fight my enemies, I only felt attached to the main pawn -you have to switch pawns very often in the game, because they will have your level when hired but can't level up, and that's definitely a good thing because new characters, even if they have no personality whatsoever, are really refreshing -due to the massive char creation machanics you'll find so many different looking pawns that you want to cry out of happiness -I didn't use those teleportation stones a whole lot either because like he just said, they are expensive and rare so you'll have to run quite a bit from time to time and for some people this may be annoying -I played it on the 360 and I've absolutely no idea what he's talking about besides that "before occupants have time to steam in" thingy -if you can go for the PS3 version btw, looks smoother (although the 360 version has more grass for some reason) -comparing DD with DS is just wrong though, just believe me, they are totally different and DD doesn't feel like DS at all
  4. Well in that case you'll have to fight through one Key game and see if you enjoyed it at the end. Fighto~
  5. What do you mean with important? The only thing that comes to my mind is Kazuki's letter and I don't see how it would influence the rest of the game. But it's good to know that the other routes are strong as well because honestly I don't like the loli and maid as characters that much which doesn't mean anything though because I just remembered that at the start I didn't like Michiru either but after finishing her route I started to like her somehow.

With this said, Grisaia here I come \o/

  6. A great score only means that the majoritiy of voters liked it a lot and you won't be always a part of that majority, just saying. So if you don't like the random humor of Key and find the common routes a pain in the ass then why deal with it? Doesn't make sense to read hours of text you don't enjoy. Although it's definitely true that many VNs have annoyingly long common routes to get you used to the characters before they turn into more serious shit as soon as you reach a heroine route. The real question is though, is a book with an epic end still enjoyable if the remaining 80% of the story are garbage?
  7. So I just finished both of Amane's routes. The bad end was in my opinion more fitting but felt kinda rushed. The good end was your usual bittersweet happy ending, I liked parts of it though. So yeah, Amane has up to now the best route and so only the maid and the loli are left but I can't imagine them to have really good routes haha.

  8. I found the main heroine rather annoying but she's definitely not a bad one. Just a little bit too uninteresting and predictable for my taste. On the other hand I can't even remember if any heroine of Cartagra grew on me because all of them seemed rather plain and bound to their personalities.

Anyway, I'll read some Grisaia now.

  9. So you did start to read Cartagra after all. I'm really interested to hear your opinion on it.
  10. Maybe but even now I'm still pissed because of the protagonist. I mean if Amane wouldn't have screamed (and Kazuki even told her to not scream) then both of them would be still alive. I mean it's not that I want to see the protagonist killing her but at least give me some sort of reaction instead if just saying, it's okay, you didn't do anything that has to be forgiven.

But yeah, I'll continue reading her route eventually.

  11. Currently I'm reading Amane's route in Grisaia and I'm just past that meaty school trip scene and god damn it, how can the protagonist forgive her everything without a second thought? Stupid visual novel logic. At least give me an option to kill or dump her.

And now it'll take me a long time to find enough motivation to continue her route. Fuck.

  12. It's slow in general. I mean it's not really a story that sets the focus on action and nothing really happens in the game besides the change in relationship between the two main chars. Oh well, be sure to check it out one day. With this said, next game I want to finish its Comyu, already played it for something like 6 hours but never continued it. And then there's also Umineko ... sigh ... so much stuff to finish.

  13. Yeah I'm still on board but since the end of last year I'm kinda hiding in the store room of the ship because my work decided to eat the majority of my freetime. Fortunately the situation has improved a lot since the start of this month so maybe I'll leave the store room and join you guys on deck. If you have some parts of the game I should take a look at be sure to upload it somewhere and send me a link so that I can give you my impressions. But that's pretty much all I can do currently.

Greetings to the entire VH team btw~

  14. Finished eden* two days ago and oh boy, it was surely a weird experience. So the game itself is overall good. I enjoyed it a lot but the story seriously lacks a real climax and there's a single part of the game which stands out. It's just a nice read. But the problem I had was that a lot parts reminded me of ef and especially the ending was ef reloaded because it felt too fucking similiar. And ef is a game that has a special place in my heart.

At the end I decided to give it 7.3/10 because the game was good but it didn't have a real impact on me.

  15. Far Cry 2: played it for 6hours, then I realized that you're doing the same stuff over and over again without changing anything, dull as fuck, the environment is amazing though at probably the reason why I kept playing Divinity 2 Ego Draconis: great RPG, it's my second playthrough and I'm enjoying it a lot (probably because the game isn't lagging with my new computer) EU IV: El Dorado is a lot of fun, especially if you turn random nations and random taxebase on, so much confusion Chivalry Deadliest Warrior: much more enjoyable than medieval warfare because the community isn't supreme horse shit, imo
  16. I thought that too but look at me now, 100mbit down and 12mbit upload. PS: And I'm not afraid of posting two comments in a row!
  17. Ah shit. So you did finish Umineko before me after all.
  18. So over the years I took a shitload of screenshots while playing all kinds of Visual Novels and I always wanted to make a thread like this where you can download them. And to be honest I have that thought since over two years which's definitely an indicator for me being a lazy person. Another reason was the shitty upload speed of my previous internet connection. Anyway, here are the screenshots~ Here are all screenshots in one file : https://www.mediafire.com/?t6239qyrax078dg Well, fuck you Mediafire for deleting my account. I won't upload those screenshots again =(
  19. At least take me with you...
