  1. Yandere or not, that pic was quite nice. And there's no theme here, just sort of a trend, really shouldn't be complaining about anyone posting images. Speaking of, here ya go: Decided to go a bit more hentai than the ecchi we've been showing here.
  2. Fakku is extremely tame compared to some of the things out there. There will always be fetishes you enjoy, and those you do not. All I can say is, don't read something if it starts going that way, and find something else that may suit your personal tastes.
  3. Whew, 5 more hours of reading Muv-Luv Alternative, and still seems like a long way to go. Where I'm at so far: Felt like a good pausing point, and I'm a bit wore out after the constant tension effect from this former story arc. My teeth are sore, and it feels like I was sitting there biting down hard for hours. The main character's wishy-washy ness bugs me sometimes. Also, I am very impressed with the little animations like the blinking and mouth movements. I'm sure it's not an easy thing to do, but it's a nice touch really. I've liked the cold breath animations as well that the ser
  4. Wow, I'm impressed. Can't say this is what I was expecting, but it's not bad at all.
  5. Catching up on the 100 or so chapters I've been behind in Shijou Saikyou no Deshi Kenichi, also working through Medaka's Box as well. Been in a fighting genre mood lately I suppose.
  6. Feel free to post them if you wish. Just remember to spoiler them if they are too important to the storyline. I knew in starting this that spoilers might be all over the place in here, and I don't plan to read things for games I haven't played yet. However this doesn't mean you should hold back on my account, I assume others may wish to know what moments you are thinking of as well.
  7. Hello everyone. When I read a VN, I tend to have certain phrases or images that really react with me as I read it. This line is so amusing, I can't wipe the grin off my face. Or this CG is extremely hot. Or that scene was just so sad and moving. Or this conversation is very profound and can be taken in so many ways. I hit another one of those moments today while playing Muv-Luv Alternative. And while we have a funny eroge screenshot thread, and a favorite quote thread; there really isn't a thread for random moments that have importance. So that's what this is. If you experience someth
  8. So many nice things I'd love to see as gifts from Santa-san in this thread. >.>
  9. By the very nature of being called a -dere in the first place means that they will eventually show quite a bit of emotion. Kuudere's in general are usually considered to be more sociable under the right conditions as compared to say a Tsun or (especially) a Dan. Like a military officer, or a strong warrior type. They tend to act more calm and mature, without getting overly angry or disruptive. However, I don't think completely expressionless characters exist. By human nature we show emotions in our own ways, and in a story like a VN or anime or whatever, a truly expressionless character wou
  10. Hmm, these seem a bit large for smilies. And I'm not sure the random anime heads really speak to the concept for each one. I suppose it's up to Ivan if he wants to add them, not like I really have an alternative.
  11. Just finished catching up with the manga of this. I shall second the hopes for the goddess arc. As that was pretty awesome.
  12. I plan to. Thanks for the support. Though I kinda wish I had a walkthrough or a chart or something to help me with the choices here. My own search has revealed that alternative only has a single route, with very little change in it as you go along. Even still, it's been ages since I've played a VN without a guide showing me at least a basic map of how to control my choices. It feels like I'm going to miss things by just choosing blindly, even if I know that's how VNs are supposed to be played.
  13. Ahh, sorry. I was missing some of the untranslated audio text files in my download. I downloaded Extra and Unlimited in January of this year, and I don't know if I misplaced the text file for that ending monologue, or what happened, but they wern't in my game folder like they should have been. Desi helped me out in the tech support part of the forum so I was able to read it, and it didn't really amount to anything that important anyway. Still quite disgusted with the way Unlimited 'ended'. But I'm feeling much better and interested once again in starting up Alternative. The main story from
  14. Argh, I've never been quite so frustrated with a novel as I am with this... Finished up Meiya's route, after realizing the end is EXACTLY THE SAME, I thought maybe I'd figure something out with the 'yuuko' route. But no... pointless. They might as well not even bother calling it an ending to me it's that same sort of feeling I get when a really good show pops up a 'to be continued' message. None of these endings feel right, they all feel incomplete to me. I know it's supposed to be a bitter-sweet story in general, but it seems to clash a bit with the experiences I've had from Extra and even th
  15. Hmm, well I did look in my folder, and didn't find any text files. Mabye I was looking in the wrong place. Either way, Thanks! Doesn't really seem like it was anything huge or important and I got the basic idea of it without the translation. But still nice to read and be sure.
  16. Finishing up Muv-Luv Unlimited now(Finished Sakaki's endings), and other than a bit of a translation issue, I'm just not impressed. In Extra each route brought something different, even if the two boring 'main heroines' were closely connected the others all had divergent experiences and seemed to have a greater impact on the final result. Here in Unlimited things seem to be this constant bleak darkness with very little purpose, and the choice of who you are with is only barely different with each ending other than an H-scene. I'm stuck on a technical issue for the moment, but if they are al
  17. Heya all, having a little issue here, and wondering if anyone might be able to help me. The problem comes during the resolutions in Unlimited, a video sequence with the main character talking over pictures of battle while the ending theme to the novel plays. However in my version, there is no subtitles or text of any kind to let me know what he's saying. I can guess at the words, and the individual endings for each girl more or less continues after that and I can understand those. I'm wondering if there's a way to display that missing bit in english. If there is a patch, or a youtube vi
  18. Just finished up Ayamine's route in Muv Luv. Was quite awesome, and I'm still chuckling over this one sentence: I shouldn't find it nearly as amusing as I do. She kind of reminds me of Rin from Katawa, but without the breakdown of personality that Rin seemed to have in her route. Kei's storyline really seemed to feel correct compared to the others. (She's also in my mind, the hottest heroine in this game, mostly due to that little cloth choker thing, very hot.) I also love the sort of turn around this storyline puts on the whole choosing dilemma that has been strong in all the other ro
  19. What I'd like to know is more about the writer and where he got this information. Many times these internet stories are complete crap written by people who have no flipping clue what they are talking about. I find it amusing that as the list went on he had more and more examples. Meaning that somewhere along the line the Japanese had interest enough, that the companies making anime thought it was a good idea to keep making those types. It seems to me that this is extremely influenced by import viewers and sub watchers outside of Japan. They didn't even mention the overuse of panty shot
  20. I am playing through her route now. Planning to finish up all the routes here. The VN is good enough that I want to see all the outcomes. Especially after those last two routes. Just not as pleased with the first two...
  21. Yeesh... just finished Sakaki's route in Muv-Luv. I don't know who decided that Meiya and Sumika are the 'main' heroines. I played Tama's route before this one(grinning like a fool about 80% of the time), and I must say both her route and Sakaki's are far more interesting and more emotionally moving than either of those two boring as crap 'main' heroines. I really hope they spice those two up a bit in unlimited and alternative. I still have Ayamine, Marimo, and the two normal endings to go before I move into unlimited, and I must say I'm really looking forward to it.
  22. Well Sumika's route is done... To be honest, I'm more looking forward to the side heroines than the two 'main' ones. As to forgetting the story. I know the other two games are different storylines completely, but Extra is supposed to be first, so I want to finish up and do them, so I know what all the differences are. If that makes any sense.
  23. Just finally completed Meiya's route in Muv-Luv Extra, and am really surprised at how quickly things go for the 2nd time around working on Sumika's. Took me like a week(not counting a false start about 10 months ago), to finish up Meiya's route with frequent breaks, now it's been less than an hour and I'm almost done with this 2nd route already. Really wondering how will change from this happy-go lucky slice of life story to something post apocalyptic and mecha based(according to the story summaries of Unlimited, and I assume Alternative as well.)
  24. Nice to hear that the other route/s were better. I stalled out trying to make my way through Haruna's route. Might go back after reading this some.

    New style

Well, I do like the darker colors, and like was said, the activity stream thing is a bit different. But if I can use new posts to get the listing from before, then everything works for me.
