Ef a tale of memories is about the first 3 chapters and Ef a tale of melodies is about the last 3. I would recommend on playing the VN first if you haven't, but as far as the anime is concerned it's memories --> melodies. Or if you want to look at it in another way, Ef the first tale = memories and Ef the last tale = melodies. But Ef A Fairy Tale of the two includes both, which the anime covers.

I'm pretty sure that the 1.03, 1.04, 1.05, etc patches are for the game itself (not english patches) AFAIK they are bug fixes for the game and fixes that improve the game. There are also interface patches that go along with some of the specific patches released.. like an interface patch with the 1.05 patch. But it doesn't translate any specific text in the story.. it just translates the interface.

All that got released was the interface patch. It got a C&D, so translation stopped.

If there is no patch listed on vndb, that means there isn't a patch out for it. Vndb is very accurate as to what patches have been released, so you definitely won't find an English patch for it.

You don't need a walkthrough for it. It's linear and your choices (mostly) don't matter. Your choices will mostly be about the girls who you want to hang out with.. so pick someone you like. That's about it. Ending is the same. Very linear.

Yeah, the ones Ryu suggested are more strategy-like.. probably the ones you're looking for. I thought at first you meant just regular "fighting", so I suggested Duel Savior. But you can check all of them out.

I would go with the i5-3570K and GTX 660. The AMD + ATI combo might be a little cheaper, but gaming wise you can't beat intel + Nvidia combo. The intel processor will be better for gaming and overclocking if you choose to go down that route. The GTX 660 and 7870 have very comprable benchmark scores as well.

Yeah, considering it was one of his first projects + translating text from Romeo Tanaka (which supposedly is pretty hard), some people said it wasn't very good. I think even he may have admitted it. Just curious what type of feedback this will get.
