If they're using stuff from the books, then it probably won't be. Most of the Chitanda/Oreki romance stuff is not in the books. Like all of the Chitanda being really close to Oreki and Oreki getting embarrassed - none of that is in the book. They added it to the anime to get more viewers. But they may have just made up the last 2 episodes, so it could very well be about romance.

Like you said, the mystery this ep wasn't very interesting, but they never are in the fillers. Everyone's reactions to Oreki being curious were pretty funny. I'm guessing that the arc starting next week will be an original arc. The title doesn't correspond to any novel, as far as I can tell. The title for the week after is "akemashite omedetou," which means "happy new year." It doesn't seem to have anything to do with next week's title, and it didn't seem like they were anywhere near january 1st in this week's episode, so it might just be fillers for the rest of the season, which would suck.

if you don't have the menu translated, you aren't playing it with the newest patch. it's much better with the newer patch. you can get it here: patch Already released 3 times (1.00, 1.01, 1.02) - I'd wait for them to fix it completely before downloading it.

Turns out Dan-chan can tell you what's on the special disc. It's wallpapers, voice clips, and the demo and op vids from the game.

Dan-chan can not. I have no idea what's on it. I'd guess it was something like wallpapers or screensavers. Like desi said, you'll want the Mini Story Disc, because the translator is translating that next. Well, you'll want it if you like Period. And if you are using the 7.0 Installer or the Summer Sky Installer, you do not need the 1.1 patch. Just mount the install disc, and if the Japanese installer starts, close it. Then run the 7.0 or SS installer and it will install and patch the game for you.

I bet you want those ones translated because you've seen the anime versions... I, too would love to see Tayutama translated, and I'm sure someone else on this forum would be very pleased as well *cough* OneManArmy *cough* It would be nice to play Mashiro Iro and get a good end instead of that awful one they put into the anime. Literally anyone else's ending would have been better than hers. From what I've heard, Hoshizora was absoutely terrible. I heard it was much worse than the anime, which never happens with VNs - that's how bad it was. Of course this is just what I heard.
