yeah, the final patch is just for the main game. the mini story disc is its own thing, completely separate from the main game. it will get its own patch soon enough. You can't read very well, can you, ero-ero majin?

My Period updates shall continue! The Mini Story Disc will have updates. The whole thing is only a tiny fraction of the size of a single route in the main game though, so there might not be any updates other than when it's completed.

In my experience, MAL is usually right about how many episodes are in a series when ANN isn't, but that's because ANN usually only has the ones that have been announced (so they usually have fewer than MAL). In this case, since ANN has more, I'm not sure what to believe.

hmm... ANN says it's 24 eps; MAL says 21 If it is only 21 eps, then it will probably be original content for the rest of the show, because the only novel left looks like it would take more than 4 episodes.

Win XP doesn't need too much RAM and VNs don't use too much either. With a VM I don't have to restart my computer all the time and I can keep things running - downloads, for example.

I have a 2010 lowest level macbook pro. As long as you don't try to run any cpu-intensive apps at the same time, my vm works fine. I also get the bottom heating up, but it's not too bad.

About the windows license, there are ways around that. I use windows xp because it doesn't take nearly as many system resources to run it, and since it's older, getting around needing a license is easier. Katawa Shoujo is a game that's built on Ren'Py, and it's very well done. I've only played the trial version (before the full one was completed), but it was pretty good. You should try it if you want good games for Mac. The Ren'Py website has several games on it of varying degrees of quality; you should check it out. Hello. I too have a mac that I play VNs on. I just use my VM for most of them. The only problem is that it's kind of slow. It takes a long time to start up, and then it slows down my computer somewhat when it's running. It works fine as long as I don't have a lot of apps that require lots of memory or cpu power running at the same time (e.g. media players or bit torrent clients). Lots of doujin games have Mac versions. Katawa Shoujo is one, for example, and there are many others. Finding commercial mac releases is harder. Here's a list of English Mac VNs from vndb: vndb
