I can't understand those silly words they say (except "we're all living in america" and a few more words)
-
Happy Fourth of July! You gotta be more arrogant about it; that's what the rest of the world expects from Americans.

He's not doing the Sweet Drops fandisc. He is doing the Mini Story Disc that came with the fanclub edition of Period

we're off-topic, but half the stuff in these vn status thread is always off-topic I'll bring it back to topic. Period has been updated to 100% trans., 19.83% edit.

yeah, that was retarded. i was like "wtf is this" when i watched the first episode. then i found a thing about the chronological order and watched it that way. it was much better like that.
-
Amagami even tells you when the arc begins and in the title of each episode. I put the key in an earlier post here. Here it is again: Kazuha: 1, 2, 3, 4 Akira: 1, 2, 5, 6 Nao: 1, 7, 8, 9 Sora: 1, 7, 10, 11, 12 The key I had when I watched it was much more confusing
-
in amagami each route is completely separate. in yosuga no sora, they overlap some episodes, so you need a key like the one i posted to figure out how to watch it.

You're not alone, believe me. It's probably the majority opinion; I don't see how anyone could think they didn't take it too seriously. The problem with episode 11 is that it was supposed to be a big climactic moment, but it just wasn't surprising or exciting at all. I actually thought the whole mystery movie arc was mediocre overall. The other mysteries were "real," but the mystery movie was a movie. The part about Hongou and Irisu afterwards was more of a "real" mystery, though, I guess.

It's because the game has multiple routes, so the anime does too. This way everyone gets to see the girl they like as the main heroine in the anime.

He means me. Oh, and Dubs, Americans do not say "Bruv." Americans never pronounce "th" as "v." Only Brits do that. EDIT: I love Fire Emblem. Oh, and you forgot, Marth is also the best character in Super Smash Bros. Melee. And there's a Fire Emblem OVA with Marth in it. EDIT 2: In related news, the search and seizure of Megaupload founder's house/servers/etc. was ruled to be illegal
-
Oh, then it's probably just once you do any route
-
Then it's probably

I think you might have been confused by the way they did the anime. They had common episodes and then branched off into each heroine's route. The only girl he slept with in Sora's route (in the anime, idk about the game) was Here's the key to watching the anime:

No, it was longer. He said that at the beginning, then met Erica and went to that woman's house where he spent the night. Then it was the next day, so it was at least 24 hours. -

You should watch Campione this season. The first episode pre-air is already out. It was waaaay better that Arcana Famiglia. EDIT: about not understanding references: in campione they explain most of them in the show. the version I watched was from Hadena, and they put some notes in the video. they had them on the release page for the episode, too. -
There was a Kanon PSP translation project, but I think it only got to like the prologue or something

One of the monsters says it in the german version of Link's Awakening. Here's the other thing it says: "Not without a condom"

La storia della Arcana Famiglia - Ryu's Review & Discussion
Dan. replied to Ryu's topic in Anime Lobby
Just watched the first episode. Here's my review: Story: There wasn't enough story yet for me to know if I'll like it, but it doesn't seem like I will. It's basically a bunch of people with supernatural powers that will apparently be battling each other in some kind of tournament for a prize. I don't like the fact that they're not good enough writers to introduce the powers in an interesting or cool way. It doesn't bode well for the writing for the rest of the show when they can't introduce important plot points well. They just tell each other, "we have powers." They already know that, so it just seems stupid. There are tons of better ways to do it, such as just showing us in a cool battle scene. - Not good so far - 3/10 Characters: They seem like some standard anime archetypes; you can guess their personalities from their appearances if you've seen a lot of anime. - Nothing special here - 5/10 Animation, Music, etc.: Pretty good animation, character design, etc. Music was all right. - Nothing too special, but nothing that bad either - 7/10 Some Complaints: Anachronisms and Anatopisms: Anachronism - a chronological inconsistency (something that is in the wrong time, ex. an electric toothbrush in ancient Egypt or a dinosaur today) Anatopism - a geographical inconsistency (something that is in the wrong place, ex. a panda in North America before they were brought to zoos or Christian beliefs in Japan before European interaction) This show is full of Anachronisma and Anatopisms. This show is supposed to take place in Italy, but they apparently don't know that. The bald guy makes a Japanese pun. At least one guy uses a katana. The same guy imagines the girl in a kimono. "Mama" wears Japanese-style clothing. They also forgot that it's apparently (from the way the town looks) supposed to be the past. "Papa" and "Mama" both wear modern clothing. "Papa" has a modern style of earrings. The other people with Arcana powers wear suits that are also more of a modern style, but they're just suits, so it doesn't really matter. I don't know when this is supposed to be set, but the idea of Tarot cards being related to the occult didn't even start until the 1700s, and it was longer before it was widespread (originally, they were just used for card games). But again, I don't know when this is set, and it doesn't matter, since it's just something they use to add a supernatural element to the show and isn't based in reality anyway. This reminds me of Kuroshituji (Black Butler), where they said the same Japanese pun in every episode (akumade, shitsuji da) and had several other puns and cultural references that didn't make sense in Victorian-era England, where it was supposed to be set. They're supposed to be crime-fighters, so why are they like the mafia, and why does "Papa" look like a Yakuza boss? My Verdict: The story just isn't very good, and nothing else is above average in any way - Overall Score: 4/10 -
Just watched ep 11. It followed the novel. I didn't like how they made everything seem like a big deal. There was dramatic music when everyone was telling Oreki that he got it wrong; Oreki got angry when he was talking to Irisu; etc. The whole thing didn't really matter and everyone was treating it like it was a big deal. When I was reading the novel, I guessed the ending before his meeting with Irisu where they give you all the clues and then tell you. It wasn't very surprising or anything. What did you think of it?
