Yeah it was announced like... eight months ago.
-
Because there have been requests for it. A lot of people are obsessed with the "more expressive" original sprites.

It wasn't copied properly, it's been updated to 95.54%. A whopping 0.08% improvement over the last two weeks.

So it seems like JAST is making a semi-serious attempt at attaining the Majikoi license. Peter Payne posted on VNDB asking for contact details for the fan translators, and has even admitted on Twitter at this point that he's looking into it. He also very recently talked about having business meetings in MinatoSoft's home city. I don't know what this means for the fan project but I am almost certain it will be released as planned. My guess is that if they do license it, they'll do the Sekai Project thing and polish up the first game's script and then try to make all of their money on the sequel

Actually, my bad on Supreme Candy, the translation progress listed here is for the old project. The Fuwanovel project is starting from scratch and is only about 1000 lines in. I was just pointing out that it was in fact inconsistent and doesn't make any real sense to exclude majikoi but include others, there doesn't seem to be any real basis for that. It's a really weird thing to do. Either unlist all fuwanovel projects or list all fuwanovel projects. Most of the listed fuwanovel translations are actually much less likely to release than Majikoi. Also, if likelihood of release is the main f

Amairo Islenauts, AoKano, AstralAir, Cocoro@Function (effectively dead anyways, their site is down and no activity in 9 months), Koiken Otome, Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort, Lamune, Lovely Cation, Magical Marriage Lunatics, Noble Works, Nursery Rhyme, SakuSaku, Sonicomi, Supreme Candy, and Witch's Garden are ALL Fuwanovel projects. By that metric, none of those should be on the list. The Majikoi translation isn't any different.

At least a few more months. A summer release would be an optimistic prediction.

Nothing. Their mind hasn't changed and this is basically what they've been saying from the start, people just have selective hearing it seems.

DC3 is really damn big, but more important than that, MG's translator is taking it really slowly. DC3 is no bigger than a Key game, maybe even smaller. At the rate he's going, don't expect DC3 until late 2016 at the earliest. Yes, and it will stay dead.

There are 8 Higurashi chapters. Modders actually never ended up doing a voice patch for anything other than the first chapter, apparently there wasn't any good way to automate the process. Hopefully that happens with the upcoming MangaGamer remake but there are no guarantees.

Nothing has happened to Dracu Riot. Something like nine or ten months ago he made a tweet or two hinting at some minor progress on the final route but that's it. Some people didn't believe it then, although I still don't think he would lie about that. Someone on the Staircase Subs IRC channel said that Dracu-Riot is still being worked on, just very, very slowly. Take that with a grain of salt. I think that the translator, Insem, thinks that he'll finish it at some point in the distant future and that's why he won't release the scripts as they are, but the actual likelihood of release from that

There was an old TLWiki project that dropped pretty quickly after it was picked up. Sometime last year or so, Aroduc of the aforementioned Seiha Translations started translating it from scratch but it stalled due to technical issues. Those issues are now resolved thanks to Doddler's hacking expertise. And Bunny Black's issues also appear to be resolved and Herkz is editing that.

They're typically as long as a medium length VN's common route + heroine route. Basically, they're as long as one complete story in a typical VN. Thinking about it like that, it's not so bad. Saya no Uta is easily one of the best VNs translated to english so that's a good place to start.

Nothing in the last few months, but he had to go back and redo a lot of the script. Hopefully he'll have more news soon. Something that was missed this week was that Kikokugai's remake received a translation patch a few days ago. Someone took the existing Makoto translation and applied it to the new version of the game with redone art. It should also work on all modern systems hassle-free.

That guy took on two projects at once and barely worked on any of them. I'm more bummed out by the lack of Flyable Hearts being translated. Maybe some day it will get something other than that god awful machine translation.

From last week's thread: They did not lose the translation. They lost the QC efforts in one route. It has been set back by a few weeks, unfortunately. The translations exist, they're on youtube, they're on the hard drives of many contributors, they've been seen in many screenshots. It's stupid that the QCer didn't have any backups of his work, and the patching process they're employing is bizarre, but whatever. Part of the reason for the weird patching process is because it's being taken from a youtube translation and then edited outside of the game's script files. They have to come up wit

Whether or not a project is on VNDB doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things (and I say this as one of their database moderators). We try to have everything, but the livelihood of a translation project is pretty subjective and isn't always easy to determine. At the end of the day, inactive projects are removed on a gut feeling, nothing more. Basically what I'm saying is that you shouldn't give up hope just because something is removed from VNDB. Herkz talks like they're definitely going to get a new editor for the Mahoyo project and it will be finished.
-
The project leader says no, but honestly with no progress for so long and no real expectation of progress to come, it's pretty much dead.
-
It's you. There should be less names, though, there are a fair amount of dead projects there.

Rance is a pretty intolerable guy. Certainly not bad ass.

Subahibi red two weeks in a row. Somebody pinch me.

Where? The latest news posting is from last february. edit: ooohh, those sneaky bastards. Rose Guns Days: Season 3-4 Translation: 100% Editing: 60% koichoco moves every month...

It's certainly not the only factor, but it's a pretty big one. And Baldr Sky is more popular than anything you mentioned, Drive1 is the most popular untranslated title (with no partial) on VNDB right now. There are too many people who like it for there to never be a translator ambitious enough to tackle it. So I'm pretty confident that someone will at least attempt it again, even if it isn't Ixrec. Also there kind of are August projects all over the place, it just so happens that most die partway through.
-
Baldr Sky is too popular to not get translated at some point, some how.
-
People should be aware that the Nursery Rhyme progress isn't a revival of the old project but an entirely new project. The translator's english seems pretty bad so I hope it turns out okay... It's the same translation.
