Dengeki Stryker

Yamato has a great sense of justice and aspires to be a hero. He always tried to protect his childhood friend Haruna when she’s being bullied, but he always got beat down instead. One day, Haruna was going to move away and wanted to say goodbye to him. However, he despaired that he was never able to protect her once in the end.

 

He met an old man called the ‘Memory Collector’, who could grant any wish in exchange for one’s memories. Yamato wished to become a Stryker, the hero from a manga he loved. Several years later, some people with superpowers called the Balbora Empire appeared in the city Haruna was living in. The police and army were powerless in stopping them, but one warrior showed up and beat them with one kick. He was the hero of the manga Dengeki Stryker.

Really? I liked both of them. What did you think about Edelweiss? It was made by the same people, but wasn't about music.

Played through the first saga and I must say that I found this game pretty average, it's the kind of game that starts funny and fine but keeps getting worse the closer it gets to the ending.Action lovers will probably like it though.

 

I'll try to make a review once I finish the other saga and get some time.

Finished the game and my impression is......I guess good? it starts to funny conversation and after later the ending"the last end" was so sad......

I hate the ending because the real yuuki yamato died and the other yuuki yamato & the other's returned to the manga i guess even so it was sad ending it was nice " and im sad cause why only 2 girls =("

Green Green (visual novel) wasn't translated right? It's made by the same people, albeit by the predecessor company to Overdrive.

 

 

I believe so, although Mangagamer has pretty much stated that they will not be touching Green Green anytime in the near future, if ever. It seems to be a pretty sore topic for them, so I assume there are some personal or major business problems with localizing Green Green. MG had a live chat with Bamboo the other night that I was in and someone brought up Green Green; MG's staff shot down the question/topic quickly.

 

EDIT: I forgot to clarify that if you don't know, MG is ran by Bamboo, who is the owner/producer (I believe?) of OVERDRIVE. MG is kind of a pet-project of OD's.

I give it a 7/10 score, very funny, very interesting but not spectacular. I really hope they translate Chou Dengeki Stryker, I want a route with Dark Haruna and Hilko, Jack is not in the question, I hate her as much as I hate Chinami and Shirou.

OVERDRIVE president (?) Bamboo has stated that Jack won't have a route because they want to keep Jack's true gender a secret. Chou will have 3 new routes, one with the new character (the woman in red). I'm PRETTY sure the other two routes will be Hilko and Rin, but I'm not 100% on that. It's already 100% though that none of the new routes will be Jack. OVERDRIVE wanted Jack to be an asexual sort of character, so that's why in most of the game, they make hints at Jack being either a boy or a girl.

Pretty much it is an expansion pack. In Japan they are going to offer purchase of the stand-alone title which will have everything from Chou Dengeki Stryker and Dengeki Stryker. They will also offer just Chou Dengeki Stryker for a cheaper price to those who purchased Dengeki Stryker.

 

As for Jack, we will never know. Was with the livestream that bamboo had with MangaGamer and they want to keep Jack's identity a secret. You find journal entries that give you mixed clues on to what Jack's real gender is.

 

Like one where about bleeding from the crotch. But then you have one where Jack compares their size when the main protag is asleep.

I thought that meant Jack was a woman too, but the next "diary" entry after that one Jack says that was a trans-scription from a drama he was watching, so that page was actually a scene from the drama he/she was watching. Like Strom said, there are entry's which hint to jack being either; Some make you start to think Jack's a girl, but then you get pages about "comparing girth" and whatnot with Yuuki, and some other ones.

but..strangely her face are really jack look alike..

hopefully she'll just a new chara..

it would be sad if all those hiatus and jack turns out to be Excel Stryker form~~
