Cross 12
I actually have a big question. Does anybody know the circumstances of the Cross Channel retranslation? - How (exactly) is it different from the Ameterasu TL? Do they remove the honorifics and add english slang?^^ - Why does the project exist, if we already have a translation? I know the homepage of the project (See you next week |), but it's just unfunny ramblings and cryptic bs (no usefull answers).
Kirai Aizuren 10
i heard that it is one of the very first translation for Ixrec, so you know how it feels for Ixrec to read it again now
Chocolatemilkgod 16
I actually have a big question. Does anybody know the circumstances of the Cross Channel retranslation? - How (exactly) is it different from the Ameterasu TL? Do they remove the honorifics and add english slang?^^ - Why does the project exist, if we already have a translation? I know the homepage of the project (See you next week |), but it's just unfunny ramblings and cryptic bs (no usefull answers). I believe it is supposed to be a higher quality translation that what we have right now that was originally done by Amaterasu/ixrec. It was ixrec's first real project that he did, and it sounds like it was a bit over his head as it's a very difficult game to translate. There's also potential speculation that he inflated his progress and it ended up forcing him to rush it towards release at the end. Whatever the case, the current translation is a bit naff and a lot of the humour behind the game is apparently lost (I haven't actually read it as I'm waiting for the re translation, so this is kinda second-hand information). Unfortunately, the retranslation may take as long as three months still to come out (this might be a gross over-estimate, I don't actually know). That said, I'd be happier to wait a couple of months to get a higher quality translation as it should make the game considerably more enjoyable. In addition, it seems as if the retranslator is compiling all the different versions of the game (PS2, xbox and PC) so that we end up with the best version (I'm not sure if he's just doing this for the text or if he's changing some of the images, voices and such, too). This is good, mind you, but is one of the reasons why the editing and QC such is taking so long.

johnnysasaki 14
has anybody been following Waku Waku's newest patches of Fate/stay night Realta Nua?this time is for the Realta Nua PC port released as a digital download-only title in Japan last year(though people outside japan couldn't buy and play it,and only recently has been cracked, you can download it at Nyaatorrents.).He's basically inserting Mirror Moon's translation in this one,and the newest patch has the Fate route almost completed. I can't wait for it to be completed and maybe even see the h-scenes replacements translated, since the RN patch for the original version didn't transfer 100% everything from the PS2 port.
