someguy withaname Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Like the title says anyone who has ever been a part of writing the story of a VN works here. Quote
Harlequin Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Ryukishi07... clearly. His characters tend to be very, very memorable and awesome. And overall I simply like his style of writing. I've only read Higurashi and Umineko so I can only really comment on those, but I love the way the story progresses in both and the pacing in them. Also, I like how he tends to include something extra after each chapter/arc/episode, and how he encourages you to THINK about what's going on. It's fun. Both Higurashi and Umineko are such great journeys. More can be said but you get the idea. Second favourite is probably Kotaro Uchikoshi, who worked on Ever17, 999, Virtue's Last Reward, etc. Quote
Gerard the Lone Wolf Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Makoto the translator. He writes Japanese VN into English. Edited January 21, 2014 by Gerard the Lone Wolf Quote
Avenger Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Moogy ( The Best Eroge Ever ) Seriously though, how do you even find who wrote these things. All I do is read them. Edited January 21, 2014 by Avenger Quote
desi Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 (edited) Kinoko Nasu and Takumi Nakazawai probably. Looking forward to both Mahoyo and I/O. Edited January 21, 2014 by desi Quote
OneManArmy Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 I don't have a favourite writer because I honestly don't care about that person at all. I mean even a great author can write shitty stories. SnK and G-SnM were great but I disliked A Profile a lot. So I usually don't get interested in a VN only because it's written by the same person who wrote a VN I enjoyed. Quote
Albedo Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Yoshimune Kouki. He wrote MLA, which is my favorite VN, so... Quote
Helvetica Standard Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Maeda Jun. This. Why even ask? : p Quote
Helvetica Standard Posted April 20, 2014 Posted April 20, 2014 Kinoko Nasu Ah yes.. the All Father of the nasuverse.. I think he's also a runner up for my most favourite Quote
Diamon Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I like Maeda a lot as well, but I still prefer Romeo Tanaka's work, even though I only read Cross Channel and Rewrite from him. Quote
