warrof 11
Please post you thoughts on this and any guidelines (Ivan doesn't like the idea of all powerful rules) that you would like to see. Please keep in mind that these are guidelines to follow not to beat over someone's head. Also i will update with more rules or fine tune as ideas are tossed in. Im leaveing the final judgement to Ivan on final version Courtesy: Show your fellow members the courtesy they deserve and avoid getting into fights/conflicts as much as possible. If a member is being rude to you, ignore them or talk to Ivan (or a mod) and they will resolve it for you. Also, please try to avoid the use of vulgar and foul language, unless discussing an eroge situation (they do have sex scenes). If you find it difficult to stay calm after reading the same question for the fifth time in a week, let somebody else respond. Handle inexperienced members with special patience. There is a first time for everything. Respect: Respect the staff members; they are in a leadership position because Ivan put them there. Privacy: A rule as old as the internet - don't post your personal information! There are all kinds of nasty people out there who will do bad things with it if they find it. We also suggest renaming any pictures you post from Facebook before sharing them, since personal info can be mined from those if you don't. Adult Content: This is important, please do keep your avatars and signatures as clean as possible. Yaoi and Yuri are allowed. This goes for straight couples as well. Anything "hardcore" is obviously out of bounds: use your common sense for this, just because it's not "Hardcore" to you doesn't mean it isn't to someone else. This site is devoted to eroge, if it is pertinent to discussing a game (or the like) go ahead, but no In-Real-Life pornography. Zero tolerance towards "shock" images, animations and links. This includes stuff bluntly meant to disgust, filming of suicide and the like. Multiple Accounts: You don't need several accounts, one will be enough. No Flaming: Simple, straightforward, and a continuation of the Courtesy part. Spamming: No double/triple/multiple posting. Don't post anything meaningless (like "nice work!" or "hot render!"). Don't be an adbot and flood the forum with ads, either, that will get you instantly banned. If you wish to update a post of your please try to update the post instead of making a new post. In the case were the discussion has continued on then you may make a new post. Discrimination. Racism, sexism, and any other kinds of degrading discrimination are not allowed at all. If you have a problem with certain differences whether it is culture, sex orientation, or gender, etc... Keep it to yourself. If you're found to acted with bigotry of any kind, you will be banned (either temporarily or permanently, depending on the circumstances and admin (Ivan) criteria.) Post in English: While most people on this site have different languages from English, this site is for English Translated Eroge. Please post in English as only people who know your language will be able to participate. No Grammar Nazi: It is more important to post something of relevance than to post it with correct grammar and spelling, as long as your meaning is clear. IE don’t correct someone because they spelled a word wrong. These are courtesy of: Shadyren, Ryu, Ivan, Warrof Edited February 16, 2012 by warrof Update
Ryu 15
I think of these: - Courtesy. Show your fellow members the courtesy they deserve and avoid getting into fights/conflicts as much as possible. If a member is being rude to you, ignore them or talk to Ivan (or a mod in the furute) and they will resolve it for you. - Respect. Respect the staff members -in this case only Ivan. - Privacy. A rule as old as the internet - don't post your personal information! There are all kinds of nasty people out there who will do bad things with it if they find it. We also suggest renaming any pictures you post from facebook before sharing them, since personal info can be mined from those if you don't. - Adult Content. This is important, please do keep your avatars and signatures as clean as possible, yaoi and yuri are certainly allow but make sure they are not to the point where they are savagely ripping each other shirt off while on sexual romps; this goes for straight couples as well. Basically anything that wouldn't show up on American cable television. - Multiple Accounts. You don't need several accounts, one will be enough. - No Flaming. Simple, straightforward, and a continuation of the Courtesy part. - Spamming. No double/triple/multiple posting. Don't post anything meaningless (like "nice work!" or "hot render!"). Don't be an adbot and flood the forum with ads, either, that will get you instantly banned. - Discrimination. Racism, sexism, and any other kinds of degrading discrimination are not allowed at all. If you're found to acted with bigotry of any kind, you will be banned (either temporarily or permanently, depending on the circumstances and admin (Ivan) criteria.) And for general rules I think that's enough FOR NOW, as the forum grows and more sections are created, more rules have to be applied
warrof 11
Also (too obvious to include?): "Forum language is English. All posts must be written in English or contain English translation of their content." Im gonna leave that one to Ivan. Most people here seem to be from countries other than the US or other english primary countries. Make a poll or something. A Poll doesn't allow for creativity though... Olaf 10
Im gonna leave that one to Ivan. Most people here seem to be from countries other than the US or other english primary countries. Thats true, but eroge is translated to english so people coming here know or should know it more or less. Besides, its often only foreign language they know. logros 10
Regarding the language thing i agree we should keep the main forum english, we could do like some other forums and create general sub-forums for some of the other largest languages i guess but i dont realy see the point, especially since we would need mods speaking each of those languages to. About the adult stuff ban, like i mentioned in the layout thread this site is about eroges so anybody under 18 shouldent be here in the first place so i see no need to keep this place pg13. The one thing think we should ban (once again as mentioned in the other thread) in that area is irl porn since that isent what this site is about. edit: mods should of-course have the right to force people to change on a case by case basis if they chose something to extreme, but i dont think we need a sweeping ban. Ivan 163
Im gonna leave that one to Ivan. Most people here seem to be from countries other than the US or other english primary countries. Well... don't leave such stuff to me. Like i said - this forum is for You - come to some conclusion and i'll implement it. Personally i think that public messages (except visitor messages on user profiles) should be in english - if everyone starts speaking their own language to each other, many others will be left out from discussion. Language-specyfic forums could also be made, so if someone doesn't speak english well, he can head over to spanish forum to get their help running the game or discuss their favourite ending there. 06Ryuuga 10
Can I get some clarification on some of the rules? specifically these two: Do not lie, be honest, and do not present speculation or conjecture as fact. If I don't know things for a fact but heard something about it can i still say :"I heard/read it's such and such"? since it could end up being misleading without intending so. Handle inexperienced members with special patience. There is a first time for everything. I completely agree with this rule but when is a user still inexperienced? is it up to a specific number of post or how is this determined?

There is a first time for everything. I completely agree with this rule but when is a user still inexperienced? is it up to a specific number of post or how is this determined? Post count doens't mean anything at all, I could have one million post and still don't know how certain game works or how to do stuff the other members do. Heres an example: - Ryu-----> Total Post Count: 300 I go to the eroge section tech support because a patch I'm applying to a certain game doesn't work, the experienced user that got the game to work tells me how to do it, I still can't, he has the patience to teach me step by step, that's what you call a experienced user, and me the inexperienced one. If I don't know things for a fact but heard something about it can i still say :"I heard/read it's such and such"? since it could end up being misleading without intending so. the best thing to do in such a situtation would be to source it probably, or simply say that its a rumor/you are not sure. the rule is about deliberate misinformation, its not like its forbiden to be wrong. Handle inexperienced members with special patience. There is a first time for everything. I completely agree with this rule but when is a user still inexperienced? is it up to a specific number of post or how is this determined? its not like we should stop being polite to people once they become "experienced", one should imo always be patient , polite and helpfull unless the person in question is an obvius troll. How about some BASIC courtesy then, you know what it means, i didn't wrote that line. So far this community has been pretty good, even without any mods at all, with only some major spamming and a little bit of trolling going on, but we have threads for those. Think i've only read 2 comments on the forum so far that were somewhat offensive to another member.

We have to realize that a lot of people don't want to see any type of 18+ images on a forum or when they are looking for an all ages type of game. However, I think that a few threads meant for such content should be made and any picture of that nature placed in that area. That way, anyone that doesn't want to look at that content can avoid those threads and anyone who wants to discuss or look at them can. There should be a warning in the title and OP of the thread to be a disclaimer in order to avoid any issues in the future as well.

An eroge (エロゲー or エロゲ erogē?, a portmanteau of erotic game: (エロチックゲーム erochikku gēmu?)) or Ero-ga is a Japanese video or computer game that features erotic content, usually in the form of anime-style artwork. Eroge originated from galge, but unlike galge, they feature erotic/pornographic content. Now I shall ask a simple question. Does pornhub (or whatever porn site you visit) have an all-ages section? This is an eroge forum, we just happen to have some all-ages games here too. Now I'm not saying it's perfectly ok, but what would people expect from coming to a site with the title Download english hentai games?

whitexshadow 10
IMO there should be a rule that limits the size of avatars and signatures. and should also require all videos and images to be posted in spoiler tags. lets see... my reason for suggesting this would be because if there are a lot of images and videos in the posts, the page would take too long to load. people who has a fast internet connection would have no problems with this but i think we should be considerate for members who has slower ones. and also, since i didnt see a rule about it, i suggest making a rule that prohibits posting spoilers[they should be put in spoiler tags or a warning about spoilers should be included in the thread title] eh, >_> sry for the bad english but i hope you guys understood what i wanted to say.
