Decay 25
Some people from the manga scanlation group Masterscanz are doing the Tsujidou translation, they started a semi-open translation project here: https://bitbucket.org/carter-yagemann/tsujidou-san-no-junai-road Anyone is free to contribute but contributions must be verified by the masterscanz team first before they're accepted. So hopefully it won't go as badly as the White Album 2 translation.
Shadolance 10
Set in the Majikoi universe but doesn't share characters... so otherwise not related at all given that there is nothing special about the world they live in... it's literally just Earth.
Decay 25
Kawakami is referenced and there are references to the Kuki Corporation, I believe. Even if there aren't any character cameos, the game goes out of its way to make sure you know it's still in the majikoi universe.

Shadolance 10
Eh, but it wouldn't be game changing would it? Without character cameos they still could have put the game in its own universe and nothing would change story-wise. Unless there's some event involving the Kuki Corp or indirectly influenced by a character in the Majikoi games, what's the difference? Granted, I obviously haven't played the game myself, I was just made aware of its existence because of this post, so I could be totally wrong. Just curious.
Decay 25
It's not game-changing and there isn't much difference. "Same setting" is generally the weakest link between games available on VNDB. If there was some event directly involving a character from the majikoi games, it would have the "Shares characters" relation.
Read DxD 10
Kuki is going to rule the world, it matters. Also that was one of my main motivations for learning Japanese, and I cant tell if it increased or lessened my motivation.....
kynov 10
WOW! FInally tsujidou translation! Eh, but it wouldn't be game changing would it? Unless there's some event involving the Kuki Corp or indirectly influenced by a character in the Majikoi games, what's the difference? Granted, I obviously haven't played the game myself, I was just made aware of its existence because of this post, so I could be totally wrong. Just curious. I have played tsujidou and i am sure there isnt any cameo from majikoi though sometimes they mention "kawakami". And no, kuki doesnt have any involve in this story since tsujidou is mainly about Yankee World.

Harlequin 17
...So whatever happened to Subahibi? It's happening. I mean it's getting updates now. It might be out in summer/end of summer, as herkz said I think on reddit.

Yeah, he gave an estimate of about 2 months about a week back. Should be 99%+ translated going off what he said.
Yachi 13
Fucking good. I hadnt really paid attention in a while and I would have been mad if the only VN ive been hyped for died.

Crazyboy 12
Sekai Project has a new kickstarter up. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/sekaiproject/the-human-reignition-project-an-english-visual-nov/ Come on, don't they have enough money now? They have released quite a bunch of VN by now and most of them seem to have sold decently well, so they should be able to fund new VN without needing to use kickstarter. It look like they are just being greedy now or maybe they just aren't sure that VN will end up being popular, but that's a risk they should take. A company(i guess they are big enough by now to be considerated a company) won't grow past a certain limit if they don't take risk.
Decay 25
I'm pretty sure almost all of the money earned from that kickstarter is going to the devs and not Sekai Project. SP is using their name to support the devs. edit: Oh and to desi, it's probably safe to take off Gensou no Idea now, there hasn't been any updates since their announcement eight months ago and their site was taken down. I know that and that's exactly why i think Sekai should have founded it without relying on kickstarter. 22k is not that much tbh, ez money Yes, they only ask 22k, but they will most likely end up getting far more than that though and they most likely knew that already. Grandork 15
Come on, don't they have enough money now? A company(i guess they are big enough by now to be considerated a company) won't grow past a certain limit if they don't take risk. They are basically treating Kickstarter like a pre-order system, with the added bonus that the user can determine what he is willing to pay for the goodies.
Decay 25
I know that and that's exactly why i think Sekai should have founded it without relying on kickstarter. The alternative for these guys was to do a Kickstarter on their own, but Sekai Project decided to support them by using their name to boost support. They could have handed over a ton of money but I don't see why they should be obligated to do that. Also, you act as if them making more than their goal would be a bad thing. Overfunding on kickstarter means they get to make an even better game, while getting a lump sum from SP would mean they're locked into that budget.
