SaruDa 11
Thanks for the correction, I thought I got more than that wrong, but I think jiru is the Japanese word for juice, for instance yasai jiru (vegetable juice) "Jiru" is the on-yomi for a kanji. This means it will change a bit depending on what word the kanji is a part of. For instance, miso-shiru is the word for miso soup. Meanwhile Kajuu also uses that symbol in the same way and means 'Fruit Juice'. Generally though, there are a very limited number of ways you can conjugate kanji like that, so the most accurate way to say just "juice" would be the westernized 'Juusu'. Cyclone 10
When I first started learning Japanese, I got addicted to building vocabulary lists. Some topics I chose were common action verbs (I came up with about 600), sensorial adjectives (including colors), abstract adjectives, anatomy, clothing and their specific verbs, household objects, weather, geography, and animals. It's from that process I was able to usefully find out their word for brain is pronounced much like know. It goes without saying, but 2ch is an extremely funny place. Being able to follow some of the discussions might be a worthwhile reason to learn the language.
SaruDa 11
I'll just document the kanji I see so I can come back and study them later. superBlast 10
Well everyone is doing words so I'll do something else. Sentences! Well the only one I know that is defiantly correct is calling something... well something. Example: "I am cute" or "Avenger is an Idiot". So I'll write something in Hiragana (since I don't know a single Kanji except for Moon) and in Romanji and break it down. Then Everyone will be calling people idiots in japanese. Hahaha. ぼくは かわいいです。 BOKU WA KAWAII DESU. Now that says "I am cute" (seriously the reason why I'm using cute is because it's that or I'm calling myself trash or an idiot since that's all I remember ). Now to break it down. ぼく(Subject) は(Particle that stands for "is, am, are") かわいい(adjective or basicly, what you're calling the subject) です(sorta forgot exactly what this is. But for now let's just say if you have a wa(は) you have to have desu(です) at the end of the sentence, or somthing else but that's more advanced and that's something I mostly forgot)。 BOKU(Subject) WA(Particle that stands for "is, am, are") KAWAII(adjective or basicly, what you're calling the subject) DESU(sorta forgot exactly what this is. But for now let's just say if you have a wa(は) you have to have desu(です) at the end of the sentence, or somthing else but that's more advanced and that's something I mostly forgot). And I think that's it. Now you should be able to call stuff idiots or cute or some other word that's on this thread. Any questions or something I'm wrong at then tell me. If I'm wrong about something then I'll edit this post. Notes: The particle wa(は) actually uses the hiragana character HA(は). But for some odd reason, instead of it being called HA it's called WA. The character for WA is わ. (now don't take this to heart but maybe if I remember correctly わ is another particle. I'm entirely sure about that though.) When you say DESU you leave out the U. So what your actually saying is DES. Another odd thing in japanese. Also if I remember correctly, when talking, people just plain don't say DESU at all. I've noticed that in anime and only people acting cute say DESU.
