OneManArmy Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I wish I had more luck in either ;_; It's not surprising that you don't have any luck in real life either, you're my fuckin wife after all! Quote
warrof Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) Yes, I ussualy use a Walkthrough, after I play through on my own once just to see what outcome I get, besides I'm technically a noobie when it come to VNs only beat 100% (according to the CGs) Shuffle! and Clannad, working on Kanon, Fate/stay night, Wanko to Kurasou, and Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi (that game is so freaking long) Also I try to do every route, Hoshikaka is gonna take forever since there isn't a walkthrough for it. Hiromin Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 That game, I loved it when i first played it, But i had to uninstall due to techinical issues, when i got it again i couldnt skip previous viewed scenes I would love to try and get 100% in it, But i can foresee alot of clicking. Just press ctrl, it will skip everything. Or just unmark the "Stop on unread text" settings. And, no, I do not like to use walkthroughs. The only game I really needed one (ONE ~Kagayaku Kisetsu e~) I could not find any... Quote

OneManArmy Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 One Walktrough One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e – Walkthrough - « XayKogeki Google, 10sec... Quote
Hiromin Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 (edited) One: Kagayaku Kisetsu e – Walkthrough - « XayKogeki Google, 10sec... This walkthrough was made after I searched for it, I gave up and did not finish any route back then, though. And it does not say how to get Rumi's bad end, that was one of my biggest problems when I played it recently. Edited April 15, 2012 by Hiromin Quote

Henta20 Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 Yes im using Walktrough for some VN, But is VN eashly i dont use a walktrough, Plus it depend on the VN i play, Quote
Kozue Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 i usually use a walkthrough for some jp VNs and when i cannot get a route after some tries. Quote
Evilsanta Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Depends on the VN, I mostly use VN's if I failed to get a certain love interest or there a lot of choices and you have to pick very specific choices to not get a bad end. Quote
Wilhem Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Depend on the visual novel too, but I must admit that if they're in Japanese then I'll use a walkthrough in most cases since in most cases I'm not sure of what choice I'm making and I don't like picking choices without understanding at least what they mean (Most of the time AGTH don't hook the choices correctly or at all so I'm using a walkthough to translate the meaning of those choices.). Crimson Moon Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 No. As i prefer to discover things by myself i always play through based on the feeling. Usually i end up with a bad ending or on the wrong route but it's part of the fun. That's why it usually takes me longer than others to finish an eroge. Quote

You'll break. Quote
ultimumknight Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 tried no walkthrough in School Days HQ......I learned that trusting your instincts isn't right in VN's Quote
PhiBrainChild Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Nope. When I'm playing a VN for the first time, I never use walkthrough. Tho, I usually play VN just for that one time, because I don't want to ruin my experience from the first time. That's why, if I want to check what kind of other endings are there, I use walkthrough. Crimson Moon Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Go for visual novels like kara no shoujo. You'll break. Would it be that bad ? Quote
PhiBrainChild Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Go for visual novels like kara no shoujo. You'll break. +1 for that. @Crimson Moon Read it. Kara no Shoujo is a Masterpiece! Quote
Cross Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 I played my first VN without a walkthrough, messed up along the way and got a bad ending. You know the Fuuuuuuuuck-Guy? That day I looked exactly the same. Now it goes like this: search the character pages of vndb for the most impressive girl -> search and copy a walkthrough =winning Quote
OneManArmy Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Kara no Shoujo is a Masterpiece! And has a shitload of bad ends. Quote
PhiBrainChild Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 And has a shitload of bad ends. And I've managed to end up on the worst one. Quote
OneManArmy Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 And I've managed to end up on the worst one. I'll probably do the same. Quote
Brincamian Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 For my first playthrough, I try to stay away from walkthroughs. I like to use a flowchart when I go back later so I can make sure I've seen every scene, though. Quote
Famichip Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 I only use walkthroughs when: - I'm totally lost in the game and couldn't achieve a good ending.. - There's a specific heroine that I really really really want to see her ending Quote
evenlaist Posted August 1, 2012 Posted August 1, 2012 soul link forced me to read walkthrough have to restart chapter 1 because i dont take walkie talkie with me Quote
