and mine. beat allmost everybody else by at least 40 VNs, trying to decide if that's awesome or a sad testament to how i have to much free time... Edit: oh and many of my old scores are from when i first started playing VNs and are overrated by my current standards so if you see any odd overrated games thats probably why, should get around to updating that one of these days i guess.

Hmm While picking favorites is hard some who come to mind are code geass and Death note since i love antihero/villian protagonists and Last exile since i love all things steampunk.

Like many others apparently i reached the glorious world of VNs through the anime community, though in my case i think it was a discussion on an anime forum rather then finding out there was a game for an anime i watched.

while i dont realy care about the god thing one way or another what i am annoyed about is that he started a pointless thread flaming another forum which a) stirs up needless negative feelings in this one and b) may incite trolls from mangafox to come here and annoy us, which will bother everybody and place a needles burden on ivan to if it happens since he is the only mod atm.

think we should add this that warrof edited in to his original rules post for the adult content rule "This site is devoted to eroge, if it is pertinent to discussing a game (or the like) go ahead, but no In-Real-Life pornography.", since as mentioned before forbidding eroge screenshots will imo hamper discussion and we are all supposed to be 18+ anyway.

hmm while that is interesting to know i dont know of its a wise idea to let just anybody add stuff to the Calendar, can see that being abused pretty bad. should probably be some kind of restricition on it though i dont know if it should be admin/mods only or something more lax.

If you go back go back a few pages you will see why we choose sub-forums over single topics for the games (in short it would be pointless since it would be just like the comments, the point of having it in the forum is to be able to organize the discussion for each game into multiple topics). I would also like a feedback/sugestions forum as mentioned on the previus page. I don know if the rules and Introductions need a forum each (at least not the rules) wouldn't a sticky be enough? Also the eroge discussion should either be re-named Visual Novel dscussion since not all VNs are erotic games (w

We should probably keep something like this (ie sugestions/feedback forum) around even after we get the forum up and running to, there is always room for improvement after all.

the best thing to do in such a situtation would be to source it probably, or simply say that its a rumor/you are not sure. the rule is about deliberate misinformation, its not like its forbiden to be wrong. its not like we should stop being polite to people once they become "experienced", one should imo always be patient , polite and helpfull unless the person in question is an obvius troll.

Regarding the language thing i agree we should keep the main forum english, we could do like some other forums and create general sub-forums for some of the other largest languages i guess but i dont realy see the point, especially since we would need mods speaking each of those languages to. About the adult stuff ban, like i mentioned in the layout thread this site is about eroges so anybody under 18 shouldent be here in the first place so i see no need to keep this place pg13. well he said he would make sub-forums each game so the logical place to post them would be with the relevant game. Dont really think there is enogh demand for stuff he hasent uploaded (specially stuff isent even translated and dont (according to vndb) have a translation project) for a separate forum. mayby you could post it under general or vn discussion?

while i agree about avatars im not sure about signature images, and if we do add them we need clear rules about max size (both in pixels and bytes) to avoid tards getting huge and/or animated stuff that are annoying to scroll past and needlessly increase page load time.

when the rules mention hardcore 99% of all people will think porn, schock/disgusting stuff is usualy another rule all together (and i agree is should be forbidden). true dident think about that and i think irl porn stuff should be forbidden, thats not what this site is about after all. what i dont think should be forbiden though is stuff like 18+ eroge screenshots and other things which are relevant to the purpose of this site (including "tentacle rape with gore" if its relevant to the game being discussed).

in an eroge forum...? anyone here is suposed to be 18+ in the first place (not that i think that they realy are but if they are allready playing eroges anyway...) so i see no need for that rule atleast.

rather sub-forums only for the popular than sticky's since said stickys would have the same problem as the comments in the first place (ie everything jumbled together in a big mess) thus missing the whole point of having it at the forums in the first place. *shrug* Then in the worst case they will remain empty (find that very unlikely for most games though) dont really see the problem with that though, its not like it takes any resources (besides a minimal amount of hdd space) or effort to maintain them once created right?

Considering how ex mangafox have a sub forum for each manga and they have literally thousands of those i dont realy see why we wouldent be able to make it work with a few hundred games.

Fully support the idea of sub forums for each game to since separate topics makes makes it much easier find what you are interested in and ignore what your not, in the comments game discussion, help requests, "thanks you"s etc are all jumbled together in a great mess making discussion difficult. not to mentions that longer posts like game reviews and the like arent really practical there.
