Useful tidbit of info for this title, you NEED a mouse to play this game. There are keyboard controls to mange dialogue and the text history, and you can use the arrow keys or WASD for basic map movement, but there are no keyboard controls for menu navigation or combat.
  2. Or you could act like the veteran member of this site, which you apparently aren't, and do a quick search by title to come up with the link to download it here for free BEFORE you suggest he spend money. https://erogegames.com/downloads/extras/pretty-soldier-wars-ad-2048-r165/ The only reason I didn't do that already was because all three of those titles are older posts from the original forum style that didn't translate well to the new forum style and doesn't include any of the art work. I defaulted to the vndb.org links because they included screenshots that would be helpful in verifying which game he was looking for.
  3. I don't recall playing anything that fits that description myself, but I do recall seeing these titles that might be it. Pretty Soldier Wars AD 2048: https://vndb.org/v127 Critical Point: https://vndb.org/v145 This one probably isn't what you are looking for as I have played it and it doesn't have any tactical game play, but I'm including just in case. Soul Link: https://vndb.org/v617
  4. On the page for "Overly Qualified Ms. Mary", You've got the three part download option listed under the "Download" Tab and the non-free 1.3GB single file option listed under the "Free Download" tab.

Since I can't, in good conscience anyways given I'm a software pirate, exactly write a letter to Alicesoft congratulating them on intelligent, not so much software design but PRODUCT design, I'll leave an ode to them here. First thing they did right: They actually included a comprehensive instruction manual! (@Ivan Thank you for taking the time to include it.) I thought this to be an extinct art form, but apparently rare examples of this species can still be found in obscure corners of the world! Second thing they did right: The instruction manual actually tells you where your save files are located! You don't have to hunt for them!

While I'm not familiar with the distinctions between the Steam version and the JAST version, or if their are other versions as well, note at the top of this page, Just below the the large font size heading "Evenicle 2", the tag "Adult only". That's a very good indication that this is NOT the all ages version with the H content cut out.
  7. *Bump* Sorry, I'm indulging my obsessive compulsive tendencies by putting these forum threads back in chronological order before littleshogun posts his next Status update thread.
  8. Fun Fact: If you pay attention to the VN's Logo that shows up from time to time between scenes, you'll notice a sub-title in obnoxiously small print (It's technically in the box cover art on this very page up above, but forget reading it, unless you know what your looking at, you can't even recognize it as text.) I FINALLY managed to parse what it says. For anyone who cares, it reads "I'll find my way home".
  9. The fan disc is built into this title. In fact, I litterally just started it. However, it is locked behind the "base game". If you want to play, I suggest just enabling the skipping of unread text and blasting through the four "base game" routes. The enforced playing order, hidden by a spoiler box, is: During the segments where you make a choice, you'll notice the heroines faces appear alongside some of the choices. During one such segment, the face of the teacher "Yomise Tokino" shows up as if she is a heroine. I'm 90% certain you have to select that choice as part of the effort to activate Otonashi Saku's route.
  10. I'll start with the conclusion: Given your statement "I dont deal well with overly dramatic stories." this probably isn't the VN for you. It is closet to Sakura no Mori Dreamers by virtue of the fact I haven't played the other two. I started bible black but got discouraged by it's lack of good ends, or at least the difficulty of finding the good endings and Saya no Uta, if it's the title I'm thinking of, seems to be overly depressing and filled with gore, so I didn't even touch that one. These are minor spoilers, as you pretty much figure it out very early into the common route, but they ARE spoilers since it wasn't mentioned in the description, so I'm hiding it a spoiler box, but I can't really further answer Vulkandrache's question with out mentioning it. Unlike above, the warning "read at your own risk" isn't really necessary. Like I said, they're only technically spoilers in the sense it's not mentioned in the VN description. This one IS a spoiler, so reader beware, but it's a relatively minor one, and it is probably helpful towards answering Vulkandraches's question. While I, personally, am enjoying this VN, I am a little annoyed the by the misdirection/Bait and Switch of the description. It makes sound like a lighthearted fluffy rom-com romance about high society, but it really isn't. Had I actually bought this title rather than being an illegal cheapskate and playing this pirated version, I would be writing a serious letter of complaint to Neko Nyan Soft and Akatsuki Works (English Translated version and original Japanese version companies). Given that I AM an illegal cheap skate, "I got what I payed for" is probably accurate.
  11. Now that I've played 2 and a half routes, I feel I can provide an informed answer to your question. The story has a much darker theme than the rom-com about high class society that the description and tags suggest. While there are certainly rom-com elements present, I would not claim that to be the heart of this VN. As of the two and a half routes I've read, it does NOT get into gore or depravity, but don't expect a lighthearted fluffy romance. Major spoilers follow about the overall plot, but not much about specific characters, read at your own risk.
  12. I'm hardly an expert in music, but one of the sound tracks in this VN given the title "Oath" sounds familiar. I'm pretty sure I've heard pieces like it in other games, though I can't actually name any of the top of my head. Is it based of of some famous piece of music? If so, does anybody know what it is?

Only because it's appropriate (anybody who's been around on this forum for a while and pays attention to the shoutbox will understand):
  14. Just throwing this out there, I'm looking forward to the VN "Hello Lady". vndb.org: https://vndb.org/v13631 Neko Nyan Soft blog update: https://nekonyansoft.com/blog/hello-lady-important-information
  15. The four of us who voted where wrong! Neko Nyan Soft updated their home page on January 20, 2022. However, nobody has any bragging rights over us four since nobody else voted "yes". Just look at all the fun you missed out on. I don't have the ability to close the poll before it's scheduled close on March 28th, or if I do, I don't know it. As of when I wrote this, there where only four votes, me, Henta20, Exsilon, and LanTheifHUN. I will not be recognizing any additional votes cast after this point.
  16. I figured this one out. This is one of the few titles that specifically NEED your region settings set to English and not Japanese. I usually leave my computer set to Japanese for convenience since it rarely negatively effects anything I do. Not so this time. I added a comment on the VN's download page that gives an in depth explanation of my findings for anyone who cares.
  17. IMPORTANT WHEN PLAYING THIS VN! MAKE SURE YOU ARE IN REGION SETTINGS ARE SET TO U.S. ENGLISH! (Or at least not Japanese. Other English region settings may or may not work.) I typically leave my computer set to Japanese because it 99.9% of the time it doesn't negatively effect anything and some VN's require it, even when they are the official English release. Point in case, the VN Study Steady, also made by the company Marmalade, the company behind this VN, was one such instance of the English version having issues when your region settings weren't set to Japanese (that may or may not have to do with the fact we are using a pirated version with a crack file to bypass the DRM, I don't have enough of an understanding to say why for certain). This title falls into the 0.1% case that it actually needs your region settings specifically on English (again, may or my not be due to pirated/cracked version). When playing on Japanese region settings, several things do not "save" between play sessions. The VNs settings (i.e. Full screen versus windows, volume controls for individual characters etc.) always reset to the default when you start up the next time. The gallery (where you can review CG's and H-scenes) keeps emptying out. "Read" text becomes "Unread" text in relation to the skip command. Your actual save files persist, but will only work while in the region settings your computer was under when you made the save. I.E., my files aren't showing up now that my computer is running in English mode, but I assume they'll show up again when I next switch my computer Japanese again. @Ivan I would like to request you add a brief footnote to the description area above noting that you specifically NEED English regions settings for this title. (I "edited" this post once to fix a few typos and grammatical errors. If that created a double flag from "at"Ivan command, I apologize.)

It's a bot or just a general purpose A-hole. Hover your mouse pointer over the default "R" avatar image (don't click) and you'll get a pop up showing that it's a new account created just the other day with only a single post. I just reported it, so there's a non-zero chance Ivan will have removed it before you see this.
  19. On a side note: Fresh meet for my poll! DragonBall89, go vote in the forum poll I set up here!
  20. I've poked around on the forum that's hosting the translation effort from time to time, and from what I can gather, there's only a single person working on the final stretch of the project. It's not uncommon to only see a 0.5% increase once every few weeks. Somebody else can probably provide more in depth information than I can. Said forum: https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/16982-aiyoku-no-eustia-translation-project-partial-patch-is-out/ On the opening post of the forum thread there's a URL to a Excel spreadsheet that is tracking the progress.
  21. That's gutsy. A bot is targeting a thread aimed at eliminating them. This one's programmer is clearly a Grade S+ idiot for not giving it any survival instincts.
  22. From the vndb.org description for Kamiyaba: That line doesn't give me much hope for the quality of character of the protagonist. Not being raised Japanese I can't say if this is a normal way of thinking or not in Japan, but I was raised on the precept of "God helps those who help themselves". Given all the charms he bought combined with a lack of effort, I say being doomed to be single for life is fair fate.
