    G-senjou no Maou

Got to say this along with Sharin No Kuni is one of the best VN's i've played in my entire time on the site, the plot is good, the characters are wacky and rememberal, and the art was awesome. What else can I say, absolutely first rate game
  2. Used both my real name and username, the username one seems cooler Link is yandere! And for the Love Letter I got was pure WTF! Dear Link, I've always adored your moe face. MAKE LOVE TO ME -Love, Link
  3. So excited, just a final push with Grisaria and then a new VN to play, of course I know this will take a fair while but eagerly awaiting LB EX, mainly for Saya's route looks interesting ^^, Baldr Sky Cancellation pisses me off but I had a feeling it would have happened eventually so I'm not really raging over it, just means I'll play the game with crappy Machine translation while I wait for the true patch to come out (Please if there is a God let someone finish a Baldr Patch before I turn 30 XD) Anyway said my piece so back I go to my SeaCats and Tsukihime ^^
  4. Here's my current one, Gotta Luv MLA and Sumika ^^
  5. WARNING: DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ MUV LUV EXTRA OR UNLIMITED AS THIS CONTAINS MINOR SPOILERS RELATED TO THE TWO Muv Luv Alternative Review Hi Link here and this time it is a review of Age’s highly acclaimed Muv Luv Alternative. This game is from the titular Muv Luv series from which many spin offs have spun from. “Time is the cruellest kindness” – Kouzuki Yuuko Plot Summary You are Shirogane Takeru, a simple ordinary student… Or at least you were. One day you woke up in a world in which humanity were at war with an Alien race known as the BETA. You ended up joining the military (though not entirely by your own choice) and trained to become a soldier. After all of the happenings in the previous game ‘Muv Luv Unlimited’ You wake up once again on October 22nd, at the start of Unlimited, now armed with the knowledge from what happened in Unlimited you swear to ensure that Alternative V never comes about by helping your English teacher in your old world, Kouzuki Yuuko to finish Alternative IV. Prepare yourself for a rollercoaster of a game… WARNING: Make sure you play the previous Muv Luv titles before you pick up this one, it does reference quite a few things from ‘Unlimited’ and a few things from ‘Extra’ so make sure to play in this order: • ‘Muv Luv Extra’ • ‘Muv Luv Unlimited’ (These two come together, under the game name Muv Luv, you have to complete Extra to unlock Unlimited) • ‘Muv Luv Alternative’ • Any of the spin offs (Makes more sense since you’re finished with the main trilogy) Character Bios Shirogane Takeru That’s you the protag of the game, After witnessing what occurred as a result of the deployment of Alternative V, you harden your resolve to help Yuuko complete Alternative IV (Won’t mention what either of these are, you want to know? Play the previous games) You are the sort of person who will do whatever he can for his friends, sadly though (I’m referring back from Extra here) You are blind to the feelings that the girls in your life have for you, (In Alternative in my opinion you are pretty awesome but sadly still so blind) Kagami Sumika Takeru’s childhood friend from the original world, she has a rather crass personality but is in actuality a very fragile individual who worries when any women tries to make any sort of advance on Takeru, however he seems to be unaware of this fact. Sumika does not seem to appear in Unlimited as Yuuko claims that she ‘doesn’t exist in this world’ However a new loop brings new things and something may happen to bring Sumika back to Takeru Mitsurugi Meiya In Unlimited/Alternative she is the part of Cadet Squad 207, the squad to which Takeru is assigned, she seems to have a secret which she is hiding from the other members of the squad but seems to get on very well with Takeru in Alternative due to his open personality. She has a complex set of morals which were shown very clearly in Unlimited and she is very stubborn and reluctant to compromise on said morals, however when she is needed she will come through for the entire squad, offering word of advice and wisdom. Sakaki Chizuru In Unlimited/Alternative she is the squad leader of Cadet Squad 207. She seems to have a good grasp on general military tactic and is generally seen as the Tactician of the squad. She seems to have rivalries with both Ayamine and someone called Suzumiya Akane; however Takeru eventually gets Ayamine and Sakaki to get on reasonably well with one another. Ayamine Kei In Unlimited/Alternative she is a member of Cadet Squad 207. She has incredible skills when it comes to hand to hand combat and is thus classed as a prodigy in this regard. She is also one of the only people who can keep up with Meiya in regards with melee combat. Though she is a not a talk active individual she has no problem at all in expressing herself when it comes to Sakaki. Tamase Miki In Unlimited/Alternative she is a member of Cadet Squad 207. Her skills with a sniper rifle are amazing and she seems to be a prodigy in it and is thus generally seen as being the Squad’s Sniper. She and Takeru still retain a good relationship with one another, which is amazing considering the circumstances. She does however seem to have panic attacks whenever someone watches her while she is sniping. Yoroi Mikoto In Unlimited/Alternative She is a member of Cadet Squad 207. Yoroi’s outdoor survival skills are second to none and thus is classed as the survival expert of the team; she also is the medical expert of the team. She does however have a problem when it comes to listening to people, but it is a defining part of her character Jinguuji Marimo In Unlimited/Alternative she is the instructor for Cadet Squad 207. She seems to expect great things from the members of 207 and holds them in high esteem. She does get a bit annoyed whenever Takeru calls her ‘Marimo-chan’ despite Yuuko calling her the exact same thing. Kouzuki Yuuko In Unlimited/Alternative she is the mastermind of the Alternative IV project, which is shrouded in a great deal of mystery. She is extremely good at when it comes to manipulating people and she is classed as being a demon by Takeru because of this fact. Though she appears to be an inhumane individual for whom the ends justify the means, she is like any other person, desperately trying to hold onto her humanity and sanity in this messed up world. Yashiro Kasumi A mysterious individual who seems to spend the majority of time in the room where the brain is kept, she seems to have remarkable perception and understanding of people for a girl her age but she is extremely shy with new people and has difficulty socialising with them. 00 Unit Humanity’s trump card against the BETA, supposedly if this is completed and Alternative IV is successful then the war against the BETA will eventually turn in Humanity’s favour. All that Yuuko has said is that it has something do with the brain in the room where Kasumi is. Ratings Music In my opinion I believe the music of Muv Luv Alternative to be of a high quality, there seems to be a piece for every conceivable mood or any situation that occurs. I especially loved Takeru’s own theme ‘Storm Vanguard’ as it has an amazing rhythm that is strangely addictive and seems to fit him when he’s in combat. I would give the music of Muv Luv a 9/10 due to the fact that it can get rather repetitive after a while Characters I believe that the characters in Muv Luv have been extremely well done, but I believe you can only see this if you’ve played from Extra all the way to Alternative, really the characters come on in leaps and bounds. And the thing is, they do in a rather compelling way in my opinion. I would give the characters of Muv Luv a 10/10 due to the sheer amount of development to character done in this game. Art The art in Muv Luv Alternative is really good and it seems to be aging well, the standard of artwork is close to that of modern games and this is game that is now 7 years old. So I would give the artwork of Muv Luv Alternative an 8/10 mainly on account of the artwork for some of the BETA, they were relatively out of place. Story/Plot Initially I was a bit put off with the premise of it, it seemed like they were just trying to redo Unlimited but with a hell of a lot happier ending, However after playing this I can say with complete confidence that I was sorely mistaken, there is so much stuff that happens in Alternative that really defines as being separate from Unlimited, sure one or two things are repeated from Unlimited but that’s bound to happen with how it is, The overall story of Alternative is a lot more gritty and realistic, telling the tale of one man trying to save the whole of humanity, it has lost its light-heartedness from Extra and maybe Unlimited to a degree as it becomes very serious and fast paced. I would give the story of Muv Luv Alternative a 10/10 on account of its sheer depth and how it draws you in Conclusion So in conclusion, I believe Muv Luv Alternative is a must play for any VN player, it is extremely well written and has a group of compelling characters and is a game that sucks you right in and won’t get you go until the whole things over. So I would give Muv Luv Alternative a definite 10/10
  6. Finally got onto it about 20 mins ago, Character name is Linkman19 and I'm on Ship 2
  7. ^ Seems alright, can be a bit unusual at times but is generally a good guy. Seems to have a thing for traps and Noel Vermillion from Blazblue.
  8. Desi no worries, I played the fandisk straight after this, absolutely class game and I plan on doing a review on it if I am able to, only explaining the bare minimum, letting people have the fun that I did the first time round, it is still one of those ones that get me alot
  9. The Last Eroge I finished was, Wanko to Kurasou. Got to admit the initial premise of it put me off it but I decided to ignore it and play it straight and man am I glad I did, I had a great time playing it, very emotional in some areas and also rather comical in others, trust me if you have the time to spare try read it, you won't forget it.
  10. Sharin no Kuni Himawari no Shoujo Hello it’s Link and this time it’s a review of Akabei soft 2’s Sharin no Kuni Himawari no Shoujo. This game is set within an undisclosed country which has had a war with a southern continent. This game is very plot driven and emotional in areas, got to admit that the story really got me. "I shut my eyes in order to see." Plot summary You are Morita Kenichi, a candidate in the Special High Class Individual exam (I’ll just abbreviate to SHCI, less of a mouthful) you are classed as an overall super human in both name and deed. For the final portion of the examination Kenichi returns to the town in which he was raised, upon which he is reintroduced to three of his friends before he left the town, each now bearing an ‘obligation’ as a result of the civil conflict with the government that went on in the past. The final portion of the exam has Kenichi having to ‘rehabilitate’ these three people, will Kenichi be able to finish his exam and be able to hold the title of SHCI or will his long lost past finally catch up with him. Character Bios Morita Kenichi This is you, the protagonist of this game, you are classed as being a super human due to the things that you have achieved in your life thus far, ranging from being the head of a successful business corporation to fighting within the war in the southern continent, returning from which with a ‘infirmity’ of the mind. He is a relatively kind person who will help those in need and is the sort of person who will do all that he can for his friends. However he is hiding a past that he’d rather forget, back in the days when his name was not Morita Kenichi. Natsumi Hinata Natsumi is the main heroine of this game, a girl who bares the obligation of ‘Prohibited from Falling in Love’ which is considered as being one of the more serious obligations of society, the obligation meaning that she is forbidden from touching any members of the opposite gender, be it by accident or on purpose. However she does not seem to be inconvenienced by this on account of her introverted personality; however she is hiding a past and a love of a boy who once lived in this town long ago during the civil uprising. Sachi Mitsuhiro Sachi is another girl that Kenichi has to ‘rehabilitate’ as part of the examination and she is the person who initially offers him a place to live when he proposed sleeping outside during the examination period. Sachi is a rather bubbly character and seems to be full of life and is one of Kenichi’s first friends when he comes into the town. She has adopted a little orphan girl from the Southern continent which she calls Mana. The obligation that Sachi bears is to have a ’12 Hour Day’ the purpose of this obligation is to teach the importance of time to those who initially squandered it however like Natsumi she does not see this in anyway as a burden, rather she simply adapted to this lifestyle. She seems to have been a famous painter as a child but something occurred which lead to her refusing to paint since that day. Touka Oone Touka is the class president of the school that Kenichi has to attend despite having already completed his education. She seems to hold a clear disdain for Kenichi and his attitude and often acts violently towards him. She is a clumsy person and is prone to making careless little mistakes which can become huge. Touka bears the Obligation of ‘Prohibited from Becoming an Adult’ meaning that she must obey her mother’s orders without question and because of this she has a rather strained relationship with her mother Kyouko. She still however seeks to find small ways to rebel against her mother. Sepia Uzuki He is a student in Kenichi’s class who shows clear disdain for him due to being a ‘Dog of the nation’ and he is fanatical devotee to Higuchi Saburou, the leader of the civil uprising which occurred in the town in the past. He claims that he is an author and that he can talk to fairies and he often speaks about really bizarre subjects, the majority of the time which cause him to incur Touka’s wrath. He also seems to have a crush on Touka’s mother Kyouko. Masaomi Houzuki Houzuki is the SHCI that is supervising Kenichi’s examination and is like a sort of surrogate father to Kenichi. He is lame in one leg due to an injury that he claims to have received fighting in a war. Because of this he is never seen without his signature cane. He is classed as an intimidating individual, even by Kenichi who fought in a war. He is relentlessly dedicated to society and its advancement and so he is not above manipulating people for what he believes to be for what is the most favourable result for the future of the country. He took the SHCI examination alongside Higuchi Saburou who would one day become the famous revolutionary in the civil uprising of the past and is the one who killed him and ended the uprising. Ratings Music The music of Sharin No Kuni was relatively good; they seemed to have the right sort of music for the present situation and used the music to increase the tension of it. Therefore I would give the music a 9/10 Characters In my opinion I believe that the characters of Sharin No Kuni are really well developed and the backstory of the heroines have been properly developed to give it a good sense of emotional depth. So I would give the characters of Sharin No Kuni a 10/10 Story/Plot The story of Sharin No Kuni was relatively well done in my opinion, it was developed to the right degree that the characters were amply fleshed out but not to the degree that it got annoying and tedious. The story was a bit jumpy in regards to how quickly things could go south but it was exciting and they did it in such a way that it did not feel in any way out of place. I would seriously recommend this as a game for first time Eroge players as it has a compelling story and decent CG’s, both of H and non H. Therefore I will give the story of Sharin No Kuni a 10/10 Conclusion So in conclusion I found Sharin No Kuni Himawari No Shoujo to be an incredibly wonderful game with a compelling story and wonderfully developed and fleshed out characters. I believe this game has definite replay value and it is something worth doing to 100% completion even if it’s just to look at the CG’s fondly when you are finished remembering the fun that you had while playing the game. Once again I highly recommend this game to anyone who has not yet played it, you are seriously missing out on an absolutely Grade A game. Therefore I would give Sharin No Kuni a 10/10 overall just on account of what it’s done in regards to the story and the characters
  11. Grisaia no Kajitsu - Makina route 1119/1161 kb (96.3%) translated, overall 5098/5913 (86.21%) kb translated, 3315/5913 (56.07%) kb edited Really looking forward to seeing this translated, eventually, seen some stuff on VNDB and I like what I saw
  12. Ended up going for Sharnoth, really like the story and the little mini game thing (despite being annoying at first when you have no idea what the hell to do) So Go Mary and go M
  13. Chaos Head Review Hi Link here and here's a review of Nitro Plus' Chaos Head, this game features an interesting system known as Delusion triggers which can be totally awesome and amazing or scary as hell depending on the choice you make Plot Summary You are Nishijou Takumi, a borderline Hikkimori who lives in Shibuya in a container house, you spend your days watching anime and playing an online MMORPG by the name of Empire Sweeper Online, you only go to school to meet the minimum attendance quota required for you to graduate. Your life is a relatively peaceful one until one day when your online friend Grim mentions about an incident which is going on in Shibuya known as the New Generation Madness(abbreviated to New Gen). Suddenly a mysterious man joins the chatroom, known as 'Shogun' he sends a link to an image along with the words "The world changes when you click it" You then click it and your life changes forever "Whose eyes are those eyes" Character Bios Nishijou Takumi That's you, the protagonist, you are an otaku who cares only for the 2D and consider the real world to be a pain. Though you are a cowardly person by nature, you can be kind and helpful to those who are in need of help. Nishijou Nanami The sister of the protagonist, she is your average trendy high school student, although Takumi treats her cruelly at times she will still show a lot of love and concern for his well being although she won't openly admit it herself. Sakihata Rimi A girl who you met at the scene of the staking murder who claims yo have been friends with you since the start of middle school. However the strange thing is that you do not remember ever meeting this girl before that incident. Kishimoto Ayase (FES) A famous indie performer in Shibuya, she is renowned for her lyrics which are considered prophetic in regard to their content. At school she is known as Kishimoto Ayase, a normal student, albeit a bit weird. Kusunoki Yua The sister of one of the victims of the first New Gen incident 'The Group Dive'. She seems to have an obsession with the New Gen cases as she wants to find what truly happened to her sister and what would lead her to taking her own life Orihara Kozue A quiet, airheaded transfet student. She talks to Takumi with what she calls 'The voice of her heart' and when she talks she is shown as being a cute and bubbly person also she has demonstrated that she does have a ruthless. Aoi Sena A girl in the class above Takumi's, she seems to have a cool and reserved personality and she cares greatly for the friend that she possesses however she has difficulty showing her emotions to people and she keeps across as an almost deliquent-like character. Misumi Daisuke Takumi's best friend since their first year of high school, he seems to be the only person in the school who will willingly talk to Takumi openly and freely besides Rimi. 'Shogun' Shogun is the person who Takumi considers to be the true New Gen culprit as he sent Takumi a link to an image of the staking before it happened. This has lead to Takumi becoming paranoid and believing that Shogun is out to get him and make him another victim of the New Gen Grim Grim is Takumi's friend on ESO who plays with him constantly. Grim seems to have an obsession with Guro and likes to send Takumi links to Guro related images. Grim seems to be keeping up with what's going on with the New Gen incidents in Shibuya and keeps Takumi informed about it. Seira Seira is the heroine of Takumi's favorite anime; Blood Tunes. Seira is a delusion of Takumi's and she is always to coerce him into becoming a full scale Hikkimori. She is Takumi's weakness given a physical form. Ratings Music I believe that the soundtrack in Chaos Head certainly did do the game a great justice in all areas; it seemed as though it had a track for pratically every conceivable situation. Also Itou Kanako is a damn good singer, love Find the blue for the game's theme, really beautiful and fits the game perfectly. I would give the music of Chaos Head a 9/10 Character The characters in Chaos Head were generally well developed in my personal opinon, though I didn't like Takumi's change from a 2D loving hikkimori to a reasonably normal but a potential bad ass at times kinda guy as I felt it was too rushed and kinda too forced. I would give the characters of Chaos Head an 8/10 on account of the rushing of Takumi's character, I'm not saying it should have been longer but it seemed to be strange at times how Takumi suddenly changed. Story/Plot The story of Chaos Head in my opinion was truly wonderful and heartfelt and I could tell it had a consistent flow throughout it, some of the references to various other things made me laugh many a time, Darth Spider XD, this did make me cringe a little inside but I do believe its all in good taste. I believe Chaos Head to be a throughly good read with some definite replay value to get 100% and I'd gladly recommend this as a first title for an new Eroge/Visual Novel player. I would give the story/plot of Chaos Head a 9/10 Artwork I thought the artwork of Chaos Head was really well done and did have a type of endearment that made you fall in love with the characters even more, I would say that they are amazing. I would give the artwork of Chaos Head a 9/10 Conclusion So in conclusion Chaos Head, I believe, is definitely a really great game with a very interesting plot and very engaging characters and I would gladly recommend this to anyone to anyone who loves VN's with a decent plot, good characters and decent CG's. I would give Chaos Head a 9/10
  14. Honestly I truly enjoyed the entire game, still need to do a bit of work for Tsubaki but besides that 100% completion in my eyes, Haru's end I believe was kinda emotional due to what happened during it and what happened during the 'epilogue'. Tsubaki's route as of what i've played so far seems so-so neither exceedingly good or bad.
  15. There is of course the ones from G Senjou No Maou in my sig but I still have this good one from Demonbane "Is it just me, or did this robot girl just come up with some completely insane, incomprehensible, illogical, seriously fucking scary shit!?" - Daijuuji Kurou
  16. Ok I'll admit this is actually a really tough one for me as I really loved Chaos Head for the story and Muv Luv Alternative for... I don't even know, I think stuff got to me during it, very emotional VN. However I am going to go this time for Chaos;Head really loved it, it had a little something that made it stand out (AKA Delusion Triggers ^W^) By the way Switch, Phantom Inferno, really?!
  17. ^ He seems like a relatively cool guy, love the profile pic. He can be a bit random at times but he's an overall good guy
  18. Really looking forward to the release of TWGOK S3, love the show & manga and I really want to see more of Keima's conquests. I am already preparing myself for the epicness that will be TWGOK S3 :3
  19. They are literally on the home straight with Little Busters EX, just Saya's route and then we can play (after editing and all that stuff is done obviously) Wonder how long it will take them to finish translating Saya's route. Wanted to play this for ages.
  20. Curse you Switch, these are all epic, but I'm gonna vote for Rewrite this time, really enjoyed it, not saying I didn't enjoy the rest but Rewrite seems to be standing on it's own for me atm
