I'm also planning to play the remake (if it gets a translation) so that I can compare both versions. Then again, I won't be able to remember shit after 2 years passed so I'm not sure how efficient my comparison will be. But hey, Tsukihime is a really good game so I'll most likely enjoy it again, and that's the main point.
I also heard that the remake will contain a route for Satsuki. I'm not very interested in her though.

I believe that patch restored the original BGM because MG used his own tracks due to some copyright reasons. Then again, I heard that the BGM of Higurashi is totally free so what I just said doesn't make any sense at all. Uuuuh, whatever. And I'm kinda confused that you're playing Tsukihime because didn't you want to wait for the remake?

I'm not sure if they're any patches for Kai but I downloaded a PS2 graphic and a BGM patch for Higurashi. Did I miss a patch or something?
Also, what are you playing at the moment? Or are you still busy with your exams?
Edit: I don't like Mion anymore, she's way too selfish. =\

Btw, I gave Higurashi 7,1/10 - Not a high score but that's the fault of its boring chapter beginnings and the rather bad bgm. Don't get me wrong, it had its creepy moments but the game was (for me) more exhausting than exciting. Well, Kai seems to be much better.

Shitty game with a refreshing way of writing (it doesn't mince words) and some badass moments. But like I said, overall still shitty. =D Finally another male person who's playing an otome game. And believe me wolf, you won't regret this decision...although I've to admit that the Knight heroine was rather annoying. Oh and go for the bad endings, they're way better than the good ones.

And honestly, I didn't have any hopes for that grou- eh guy anyway due to the fact that translating a visual novel like Tayutama is actually quite hard, even more when you're an amateur. In my opinion you should always start with a short doujin or something so that you're able to understand the amount of work behind a translation. And you won't break your back with a 2hours long game and will most likely finish the translation.

Of coure I am. Well, MGQ is honestly not a great game because it's mainly about getting raped. There is some story but it's nothing outstanding although pretty good for a nukige. The music is decent and the CGs and sprites are made by different people which means that there's sometimes a huge quality difference between them. I heard that they'll focus in this part (so the third one) more on the story and you'll even play as different characters. To keep it short, avoid this game if you don't have a monster girl fetish (like me). Oh and be sure to have some tissues in your near, not be

Yo Hanako. I'm playing Higurashi Kai since roughly 1 hour and holy macaroni, it's up to now so much better than the previous chapters. And I'm even allowed to save the game when I want! No more stupid save points. Oh and Shion is hot, just saying.

Oh lol. I didn't even realize until now that the last 4 chapters have a "Kai" at the end of their titles. Oh well, in this case I'm gonna start "Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai" very soon. Although I don't feel very motivated because 80% of the first 4 chapters were rather boring and exhausting. Then again, I'm currently ill (stomach bug or whatever it's called into english) and so I've a shitload of freetime.
