On Angel Beats!, I felt that it could have been done so much better if they didn't have the massive throwaway character w/ the "shadows" and shit, screwing Kanade's character in the last episode (STOP FUCKING HUMMING) and some other stuff that ruined its general mood. The music was good, the character designs were good, but the story was eeeeeeeh.

Yeah that's the main problem. Offline mode works if you've launched the game at lease once in online mode, but imo it's preferable to SecuROM or whatever stupid crap UbiShit sticks on their games now.

you get used to Steam after a few years of using it. a lot of people have had to deal with it since 2004, when it was a lot worse.

The series ending to Eva was uplifting imo, but The End of Evangelion wasn't exactly sad.

the majority of the stuff I watch isn't licensed or had its license expire (Gundam, any of your moe harem stuff, etc). there's also the thing where a lot of licensed anime isn't really that great, or is incredibly overrated.

I've only seen a few, so here's how I feel: Gantz - worked ok, didn't see the second movie. Sailor Moon - was funny, but ridiculous Cutie Honey - never saw/read the original, can't really comment G-Saviour (Gundam) - one of the worst offenders

Doom, Quake, System Shock (been meaning to play through the second one, got stuck on the first)... There's a lot more but I actually never played Duke Nukem 3D until yesterday (it was free on GOG for a few days, downloaded it). Descent is awesome, as is FreeSpace.
