I'd suggest Kohime Musou for those that enjoyed Princess Waltz. It's a pretty good game. If you want more story, go Katawa Shoujo or Fate/Stay Night.

Hmm, this is a tough one. I think for me, most of the Katawa girls have a strong hold. Especially Lilly. There's a reason she's in my signature. Along with her I think Tohsaka Rin is another strong one in my mind. Beyond that it gets a bit more vague. I have good memories of Riho from Deardrops, but I don't remember her last name, and I think that will probably fade in time. My long term memory isn't as good as I'd like it, and I do forget names easily, especially japanese ones.

MaL has bleach at #2 in popularity, and naruto at #5. I suppose that makes a difference, since it is popularity and not average rating or whatever. Either way, I agree with you here, I liked both naruto and bleach when they started, but things started to stretch out and turn into shows that just kept going because they were still making money. Frankly Bleach disappointed me the most out of any anime I've ever watched. I want to say I've seen her around the net in ecchi and hentai, but I don't think I've ever actually watched a full series with her in it. What are you talking about? While I despise DBZ, and think Naruto and Bleach are pretty low-brow anime. 98% of the internet thinks they are the bomb. Very few sites would list other things higher than them in a top ten listing. I'd like to know what these so called 'serious anime sites' you mention are.

I don't cry a whole much when I watch anime. Most shows just don't move me that much. However I can think of at least one scene that still to this day can moisten my eyes. The death of Merry from One Piece. That whole haunting scene is at the same time sad, mystical, awesome and impactful. Not really much of a recommendation, as it's hard to watch 10 years of an ongoing show, but figured I'd at least mention it.
