  1. Playing Clannad, it's so damn good.
  2. Read Issue #1 on the first post. Did you get the game from the torrent or some other place (from Mediafire or DA)? Also you can try Alcohol 120%, mount it with that and see if it makes any difference.
  3. Drive 2 is a sequel. You can combine both of them into 1 larger game, it's the same like with Monster Girl Quest 1 and 2. When they are combined, you just play through both of them from "1 game". The translator combined them and he is releasing the combined version.
  4. Run the program, an icon should appear in the bottom right corner in your Windows. Click on it and click on Device 0: No Media -> find Disc 1 and open it. Do the same with Disc 2.
  5. That should be fine I guess. Though I never used CoveAVC, so I dunno if it can cause problems.
  6. That is a graphics card related issue, so try to uninstall your graphics driver and install the new one. Let me know if it fixed it. Also, just to be clear, you're getting that error when loading a save? Edit: Got a question for all the people that have the "Script version doesn’t match" error when loading saves. Did any of you install the game properly or the installation failed and you just copied the files manually? Asking so I can rule that one out if it's not in common for everyone. Edit2: People that have problems with the game freezing in full screen, please what what codecs you are using (CCCP, K-lite, etc.).
  7. What operating system do you have ?
  8. As usual - new game, new problems \o/ I'll update the thread as I find stuff and the members can post the issues they have. Also be sure to post if you find a solution to some unresolved one. If you're reporting a new issue, please write in detail. Don't write stuff like "my game crashes, please help", provide more details and/or a screenshot of the error. Issue #1: Movie02.gpk and Movie03.gpk installation error - Some people reported that their installation gets stuck when installing these files. This is a workaround - you need to mount Disc 1 and 2 (with Daemon Tools) and find a folder called "packs", copy (and overwrite them if needed) what's inside that folder to - C:\Overflow\SchoolDays HQ\packs (that's the default installation path, it will be located somewhere else if you choose to install the game in some other location). After that you need to add some stings to the registry (because the game creates them at the end of the installation, which didn't complete for you), otherwise you will get an error "Script version doesn’t match". Info and instructions how to add those can be found - HERE. Solution updated: Registry fix after manually moving the files added, credit goes to Smileynator and Snowbell. Issue #2: No sound after closing/restarting the game - If you have no sound after closing the game and starting it again, there are 2 things you can do. They are similar, choose which ever is more convenient for you. Solution #1 - go to your game folder (default install folder is "C:\Overflow\SCHOOLDAYS HQ"), find and delete a file called "config.dat". You need to do this every time you start the game or the sound will be gone again. Note that you will need to re-do your in-game settings every time you start the game. Solution #2 - go to your game folder (default install folder is "C:\Overflow\SCHOOLDAYS HQ"), find a file called "config.dat". Right click on it and choose Open, a new window will pop up, choose "Select a program from a list of installed programs" and choose Notepad. It will be open up as a text file, delete all the text there and save it (File -> Save). You also need to set the config file to read-only (Right click on config.dat -> check Read-only). Note that the only thing that varies from Solution #1 is that you won't need to delete the file every time you start the game, but you will need to re-do your in-game settings each time. Update: No longer relevant, the v1.01 patch fixes this issue. Issue #3: Game freezing in full screen mode - Some people have a problem running the game in full screen mode, it freezes frequently and they are forced to restart the game. The only workaround for now is to just play the game in windowed mode and it will run fine. Untested - Someone said that it's because of the .NET Framework 3.5 . You can find it on Disc 1 and install it, but there should be much need to do it on Windows 7 since it has it installed by default (unless you turned it off for some reason. If you did, go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> on the left side click "Turn Windows features on and off" and see if Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 is checked). After that, delete the config.dat file inside your game folder, run it again and see if it freezes in full screen again. Update: Reinstalling/turning on .NET Framework 3.5 does not solve the problem. Update #2: This issue may possibly be solved by installing the v1.01 patch (didn't test it yet). Issue #4: Black screen when opening the game - If you get a black screen when you launch the game (it may also not respond and close), you need to update your graphics drivers and it will work fine. Issue #4a: Black screen when opening the game (with sound) - Similar problem as Issue #4, only difference is that the game doesn't crash right away and you hear the sound from the title screen. Solution - you need to mount Disc 2 and start the game with it. It should work fine with that. Issue #5: Script version doesn’t match error when loading a save - The game freezes when trying to load a save. No solution as of yet. Note: This issue seems to occur when you copy the files manually to the game folder (if your installation freezes). Update: This is no longer relevant, solution for it is combined into Issue #1 (following those instructions will prevent it from occuring). Issue #6: Video turns black on some parts of the game - Microsoft is to blame for this one if you've installed the latest Windows Updates. More info and solution HERE. JAST released a v1.01 patch for School Days: it fixes a number of issues, more info about it here - School Days HQ Version 1.01 Patch Update: JAST released a v1.02 patch for School Days: it fixes a bug that was causing widescreen mode to use the wrong resolution. Get it here - http://schooldays.us/support.html
  9. You used Hybridweiss_rel_A.7z, right ? That one should be bug free.
  10. Not yet, it's in TLC and QC at the moment. Should be out in a month or so.
  11. The group is not dead. Think someone said that the site was hacked or something.
  12. Amagami PS2 - First Day (partial) patch got released - Amagami PS2 Game Translation Project *UPDATED 7/2/12* - gemot encubed
  13. I have 2 versions - Hybridweiss which is an updated version of v1 and the shitty v1 version. The reason i have them both is that the bad ending (from which the fandisc continues from) crashes the game, so you need to go do the bad end in v1. I dunno what version is uploaded on the site, since there are 3 versions - v1, official v2 and hybridweiss. I would get the official v2, but i couldn't find proper links for it when i was getting it.
  14. Thought I'd make a post to let people who don't follow the "piracy related news" know about it. Read more about it here - http://torrentfreak.com/acta-is-dead-after-european-parliament-vote-120704/ We win! :> Although it's not all that relevant anymore (since it's dead) - for those not familiar with ACTA, this video explains what would have happened if ACTA actually passed - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8Xg_C2YmG0.
  15. Looks like a silly gimmick to me, pass.
  16. Imouto Ijime is not a loli eroge and it's not all that good. You don't need to take my word for it, just check here Imouto Ijime.
  17. The only games I've played that have a female protag are X-Change 1 and Sono Hanabira series. I had no problems with the female protags, but I guess they don't really count because they are gender bender and yuri. I don't think I would have much problems with playing some "normal" VN with a female protag either. I am yet to play Shikkoku no Sharnoth -What a Beautiful Tomorrow-, which has a female protag. Hopefully I'll play it soon enough and see how it'll be like.
  18. That's kinda strange, the only time I saw that error was when some1 copied me a link from downloadani that passed the timer and the captcha part, i.e. the page where you get the direct link to download the file, but that's normal because the file got requested from a different IP.
  19. So they will translate the 3 game pack into English, this one - Steampunk Full voice ReBORN Set "Mega Engine Box"? O.o 2/3 are translated already though.
  20. Try uninstalling k-lite and install cccp, see if that changes anything. Edit: Also make sure that you remove all the codecs you have before installing cccp, otherwise they may conflict.
  21. There's no point in contacting them. They already said that they would not translate it. Besides, they are busy with Dracu-riot.
  22. What codecs did you install ? I recommend CCCP - Combined Community Codec Pack. Also, vlc has nothing to do with any other codecs/codec packs you have installed, vlc is self contained i.e. you can have only vlc installed and you'll be able to view videos just fine without installing any other codec packs. Do note that having only vlc installed means that you actually have no codecs that the games requires.
