I played Cherry Tree High Comedy Club for about 10mins...First of, you can't use the mouse, only the keyboard. The game doesn't even tell you the controls, you can check them by pressing F1 and trying to figure out the Japanese controls menu. There seems to be like 1 or 2 BGM tracks and the whole game is about getting some recruits for some club or whatever. Maybe someone else can go through it and see how it is, I just couldn't bear playing it for more then a few mins.

Keep in mind that they won't license it like next week or something. It will take time.

It got released a few days ago and Mangagamer mentioned at Anime Expo that they might pick it up.

You can pretty much say the same thing about any genre of games, not just VNs. Then there are the ignorant people that say - "this isn't a game since there is no gameplay". I want to see them finish Clannad and then bitch about how there's no gameplay.

Nothing you can do if some people don't understand what "Visual Novel" means. I checked the comments on steam just now and luckily there are some people that actually understand what it means.

Both Analogue A Hate Story and Cherry Tree High Comedy Club are out on the net.

I'm really linking Oreki and Chitanda's interactions so far. Oreki is an awesome character in my opinion and his "delusions" are amusing as well.

I watched the 2nd ep just now. The pacing might be a bit too slow, but the episode was decent. It's definitely an intriguing show and the "watashi, kininarimasu!" is getting a bit funny and Oreki's reaction to it was amusing. Also, the cliffhanger endings are starting already :> Edit: The ED is nice as well, but the OP is damn awesome.

Can you come to the shoutbox to discuss it ? I'm there at the moment. Edit: His problem is solved, he needed to run the english exe as an Administrator.

The english shortcut is broken, either install the Staircase patch 1.1 that fixes that issue(after installing the 1.0 version) or run the game directly from the folder(from MemoriaEN.exe).

If a re-install doesn't fix it then the .bin file(in which the images are stored) is corrupted. You need to re-download the game in that case.

Kamidori is just about the addictive gameplay, everything else is not that great. Still, the gameplay by itself is fucking awesome.

Think someone reported a similar error somewhere before. What you need to do is run the game from the original(japanese exe, untranslated), load the save(before the error point) and get past the point where you get the error. Save the game after that point and run the game normally(from the english exe). It should work fine after that.

I checked the Seiha forum a week ago, it said Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou Chapter 1 done. No way of knowing what he is translating :

I'm all good and fine with "censorship" as long as it's optional. A lot of games(like ef and katawa shoujo) have an option to not show H-scenes or most of the ero content. It's kinda worthless to go into further discussion about why and how the "dolphins" were implemented at this point. We just need to wait for 1.2 patch to see what happens.

Is your system in Japanese locale or are you using AppLocale to run the game ?

It is not exactly a Visual Novel/Eroge, I doubt it will be uploaded. We'll have to wait and see.

I liked FFVII the best, IX was pretty decent as well.

My point was that if it got released on steam, it would raise awareness of VNs greatly. Even though I don't like JAST, it's good that someone is trying to push VNs to the mainstream market.
