  1. Considering that there is a poll on their site about the censorship, I think they will actually make it so you can choose to censor the stuff or not with the patch. If they were actually trolling(which I doubt) then it's a really lame joke by them. Also I'm hoping that they don't try to "invent" a 3rd way to keep the game censored.
  2. This game looks like a point and click interactive adventure, doesn't look THAT horrible though. We still need Steins;Gate on steam to drop the bomb :>
  3. Ye, I'm not saying that there only the slow/long games are good, ofc not. It's just that if you look at the best(best vndb score) games, you will find that a lot them fit the "slow and long" type. Then again, it's personal preference. I can't tell other people what to like.
  4. The ones that maths debater suggested are rps/srpgs, so it's not boring if you like those kind of games. Sorry to disappoint you, but the best VNs are usually very slow and take a lot of time to finish(like Clannad). If you don't like the "slow" ones, you won't find much good stuff to play. Since you've said that you only played only 1 VN so far(Osadai), definitely check a few of them out to see what you will like. Sadly, translated VNs are not like the standard PC games, you really can't be all that picky or stick to 1 type, because the chances are that only like 2-3 games of that type are
  5. Katawa Shoujo Sharin no Kuni Clannad(warning: you will cry like a girl)
  6. In my opinion, Vampire: The Masquerade was a lot better. I did play both of them and I liked the first one better. Without going into too much detail, there are a few reason why it wasn't a great game. The publisher(Activision) rushed the devs to put out the game as fast as possible, which resulted in them cutting a lot of the content out of the game. Some guys even made a patch that brings back some part of the content, that should have been in the game in the first place. Also the release version was buggy as hell and could have been a lot more polished. Another funny thing is the reason

Personally I would rather have it be a slice of life with a bit of mystery then for it to turn into Another, think it fits these characters very well. The mystery part in Another is almost too much, still enjoyable though. As you say(and according to the LN translator) it will be a relaxed series and I doubt that it will need some crazy twists and crazy shit going on every 5mins for it it be worth watching. That's my take on it at least.
  8. I'm guessing that this save unlocks all options on the "New Game" screen (NG+)

It's true Nakamura, Yuuichi - MyAnimeList.net = Tomoya, Houtarou Sakaguchi, Daisuke - MyAnimeList.net = Shunohara, Satoshi Also the seiyuu for the 2 girls are Manami from Oreimo and Menma from AnoHana.

I watched the first episode today. KyoAni sure knows how to deliver in terms of animation, the OP was really nice as well. A lot of people said that the show is a bit slow and boring based on the first episode, which is kinda true. I would say keep watching(if mystery is your thing) and it will probably be the best show of the season, I have faith in KyoAni. Also, it's nice to have Tomoya and Sunohara as main characters again xD The hair thing was kinda strange and awesome.
  11. Depends on what you need it for, if you just want to change your IP, what shihmeng wrote will work.
  12. I didn't really like this one all that much. It's kind of a standard harem. The "story" didn't go anywhere, it just stayed the same as in the beginning. I can watch some mindless fanservice shows, but this one was rather generic.
  13. I agree. To anyone that wants to play a lot of VNs and wants to avoid any crashing/headaches due to language problems, keeping Windows in Jap locale is recommended. For those that plan to play like 2 VNs per year, AppLocale is a decent substitute.
  14. It doesn't make it "more stable". AppLocale just makes it so that you can run non-unicode applications without having to changing your Windows locale. Most Japanese games won't run if you have your Windows is set to a unicode locale, that's why they are crashing. Also, AppLocale works on some games, on others you still need to change the locale for it to properly run.
  15. You guys seem to have a wrong idea of what's gonna to happen to tlwiki and the other sites hosted by dovac. No existing projects will close down or any content will be lost, all they need to do is find someone else to host the sites.
  16. I learned that watching mahou shoujo lolis get tentacle raped is awesome. Also, I learned that I'm slightly more perverted then some other people :>
