Got it already, it didn't help out. But it doesn't break the game or anything, I can play it normally despite the error. Edit: Ran through the game(with a bit of text skipping) and everything works fine. I've also read that this error doesn't occur on WinXP, only on Win7. It can be ignored.

I tried both versions and I always get a patchui.exe crash error when launching the game. It doesn't seem to effect anything and the right-click options menu is translated.

Seems that Amagami is a PSP/PS2 VN - Amagami Amagami SS is for PC, but not a lot of info about it - http://vndb.org/v10131

I would rather have them translate some other VN. The anime is even split into routes. I don't know how much it's different from the anime, but I think that 2 seasons of the anime adopted most of the content from the VN.

No idea. English is not my first language. I started learning English in kindergarten till the beginning of high school and now I can speak/write without any problems. Countless hours on Vent/Skype playing MMOs payed off as well . I think it's much easier to learn then Japanese, at least it seems so.

I'm sure you can find some VN that is not boring. Hell, I don't know what to play first, there are so many good ones to play. If everything else fails go play Clannad, Muv Luv or Fate/Stay Night. I don't think there's anyone who didn't like those or found them boring.

There will always be some e-drama. Oh well, at least you can play the game now. I don't really want to know the details since it doesn't concern me. I just found it silly that they would go to such lengths to get back at you. This problem is solved, so we can move on.

There really isn't any secret or easy way to to learn any language. You just need to spend a lot of time studying it.
