Well, if you have the old scrips and other files that work for you. Why not just replace the old scripts with the new ones and leave the old EN.exe be ? Edit: Go to the shoutbox now, takes too long to type here.

I suggest that you try to isolate the issue, so far you know that the game if fine. So the error is in the English patch, as you stated. Try getting the Untroll Patch v2 from the first post. Maybe the installer from the Staircase patch is broken for you. Stupid question, but did you install the game update 1.1 before applying the english patch ?

Does the error also occur when running the original exe(not the EN one) ?

I never played any PS2 games on an emulator so I can't help you there.

Bloody Bride is for PS1 and Sakura Taisen V: Saraba Itoshiki Hito Yo is for PS2/Wii, there are only PC VNs available on this site at the moment. Edit: I lied, there are 2 NDS games uploaded as well. Added to the first post. Also it would seem that the 1.1 patch just fixes some grammar mistakes. They wrote - "Special thanks to a fellow called ‘Euphemism’ who provided us with a comprehensive list of errors." that guy probably reported grammar errors which they fixed now. Some guy wrote that it doesn't fix the font restarting issue or the opening movie issue. Im not complaining or anything, but how can someone release an update patch or something similar without a fixlog...
