FlamingMangos 10
I've only finished 3 eroges so far and I enjoyed them very much. I'm still pretty new to eroges and was wondering if you guys could recommend me eroges you've enjoyed. I'm not sure what I look for in eroges but I do want a eroge with a decent amount of H-Scenes but I don't want it to be 100% porn. I expect the plot to be good too. Thanks. ChexGuy 13
Have you played Shuffle! or Hoshizora no Memoria? also define "decent amount"
FlamingMangos 10
I watched the anime for shuffle!
Geass 17
My girlfriend is the president is a great eroge! I used that to get back into the genre
Exsilon 15
Snow Sakura is good one imo, it around above avarge in term of story. Just a winter theme high school love comedy notthing more notthing less. And by your "decent" among of echhi my guess would be around normal story driven VN not a full on nukige one. yech and Noctural Illusion too if you feel like reading some mystery one (it not too deep mystery but with h scences) and if you really want a good mystery VN check out Higurashi for horror mystery frenzy. muhahaha

Votes by onemanarmy I'm not sure what I look for in eroges but I do want a eroge with a decent amount of H-Scenes but I don't want it to be 100% porn. ef - a fairy tale of the two. - slice of life feat. 4 different couples and an awesome last chapter Hoshizora no Memoria -Wish upon a Shooting Star- - slice of life with a little piece of magic Osananajimi wa Daitouryou ~My girlfriend is the President.~ - pretty senseless game with a lot of humor and moe Canvas 2 ~Akane Iro no Palette~ - your normal school romance game D.C. II ~Da Capo II~ - another normal school romance game Yukizakura - AND another normal school romance game Katawa Shoujo - game about people with handicaps Kira Kira - slice of life game about a rock band Swan Song - rather dark/depressing game about the human nature Suika - rather sad game about 4 different persons Yume Miru Kusuri - game about problems like drug and being bullied Edited March 25, 2013 by OneManArmy
Harlequin 17
Yea. The ones OneManArmy mentioned should be good for ya. Can't comment on all of them myself 'cause I haven't read every single one of 'em, but you would enjoy Ef, Hoshizora no Memoria and Osananajimi wa Daitouryou a lot I think. Those are rather safe bets. How much is a "decent amount" of H-scenes in a VN for you OP? Well, whatever the case, I'd like to add the three Akabeisoft2 titles to the list of things for you to try. Sure they don't have a large amount of sexual content in them, but they have some of it at least + AWESOME stories (especially Sharin & G-senjou). It would be a shame not to read them at some point. Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo Sharin no Kuni, Yuukyuu no Shounenshoujo - Fandisc for the above title. G-senjou no Maou A Profile

Guest loppez
if you want to play boring shit with no plot then try Hoshizora no Memoria or Canvas 2.... just try muv luv alternative. it is sequel but believe me, do it first. thanks to this, playing normal muv luv will be relaxing. fate stay night is good too. da capo 2 - decent romance p.s. Katawa Shoujo? i hope you don't mind fucking girls with no legs, deaf or blind...
OneManArmy 82
just try muv luv alternative. it is sequel but believe me, do it first. thanks to this, playing normal muv luv will be relaxing. Right. Playing the sequel without knowing anything about the characters and important background informations is really a great idea.
Guest loppez
important background lol wtf what do you mean? most background from prequel is in muv luv alternative. you could even say, it is even hard to call muv luv alternative a sequel. both titles are connected in wierd style. it is not bad idea to start with alternative. i started alternative and believe i found out almost everything about characters. miracle? then played muv luv and it was really fun to find more connections. OneManArmy 82
Extra, Unlimited and Alternative form a linear story which means that you shouldn't skip to Alternative without playing the rest. Although I've to admit that Extra is mainly unimportant for the story (MLA has only few references to Extra), but you only have to play the two main routes to unlock Unlimited anyway. Even if you're planning to skip Extra, Unlimited is very important and should be finished because it's something like a proloque for Alternative. I personally recommend to learn about the characters and the situation in Extra (even finishing one route should be enough) and then skip to Unlimited if it's too boring for you. BUT don't skip Unlimited.

NO, what you are saying is sinful, thus Gerard is right: you are a faggot concerning this matter. ALWAYS play extra before MLA!!! [spoiler=very light extra spoiler]Proposing to skip this should mean a ban from EG!!! http://24.media.tumblr.com/03cbbfd7922763d2a3efc1f4deaa7647/tumblr_miza50P3XT1rscr3eo1_500.jpg Edited March 25, 2013 by radiantmadness

Drake 10
Never play sequels first, it is sort of a rule. always start with the first of a series. also... School days + summer days! get them they are great.
boukyaku 10
I'm seeing a lot of similiar VNs in the list here so will type in a few games which are... Different. Monster Girl Quest -> I think the final chapter will be released in 3-4 months, translation 3-4 months after that. You will have to play this one to see why it is different. First two chapters already fully translated. The translation is also very accurate. God Catching Alchemy Meister -> Light-hearted VN-RPG. I suggest cheating if you don't have the time or patience to grind. Koihime Musou -> Check on gamefaqs if you don't have time to figure out each battle. There are others like the above list. Just wanted to show a few with gameplay elements. Wanko to Kurasou -> Pretty short and sweet. I am not for or against what was already mentioned, but the school-theme VNs could get old really fast if you play one after another.
Yachi 13
Loppez ignore Ultimecea. But seriously, your retarded. I never beat Muv-Luv, so I never got to the second one, but I DO know what happens. It works wonderfuly IMO, I dont really think you should skip it :/
Gerard the Lone Wolf 10
Okay, enough of this shit. Thread re-railment in effect starting now. Ahem. Thanks. Flaming...damn, your username must have jinxed this thread lol. *cough* So Mangos, you want some recommendation eh? Kay, let's see what VNs I've enjoyed so far. Sharin no Kuni, Himawari no Shoujo - is currently the top VN on my list. (Not sure how long it will stay that way though.) G-Senjou no Maou - this one is great too, despite having plenty of flaws. Saya no Uta - I strongly recommend this. It has a decent amount of H-scenes + great plot. Perhaps a bit short, but the storyline is awesome even if it can get a bit predictable at times. 999 - a Nintendo DS VN. Great mystery game, but doesn't have H-scenes. (Personally, I don't think it even needs one.) Yume Miru Kusuri - my first VN. A Profile - unless you can stand bitter stuff, just avoid this one. Koihime † Musou - a large amount of h-scenes and a somewhat dumb but pretty funny story. It has a sleep inducing mini-game so if you can stomach that, this one is good too. Captive Market - my favorite nukige. lol So yea, G-Senjou, Saya, Yume Miru, Sharin, and Koihime are a good choice. ChexGuy 13
G-Senjou was great...except for the side-routes.
