They'll put back the delicious sex scenes and the like but will remove the plot nobody cares about. You should be really thankful that I was able to make such a great deal. A Visual Novel, a quirky, utterly Japanese artform. Something unique that doesn't exist in the west. By deleting "inapropriate" content they do no less than raping art. That's like drawing a Bikini on the Venus of Urbino, to reach all the prudes and conservatives, who can't stand the sight of a naked woman. Instead of being proud of the work they did, they rip the heart and soul out of it, because some Gaijin authorities raise their pointing finger. What we get is a void shell, a rotten corpse in western clothes. They don't seem to understand how precious their stuff is to us starving Westerners, who usually have to feed on superficial mainstream-entertainment to survive. It's a fucking shame to destroy their own product, something they probably worked very hard on. It saddens me to no end that the "japanese soul" (H-scenes, sexuality in general, the humor, moe, unrealistic girl archetypes, Incest, Loli) this stuff contains is seen as a hindrance, something that "stops" VNs to become popular. That's completely wrong. If you take that out, everything crumbles to dust. You can play Call of Duty instead... Maybe i'm too radical on this topic, but I hope that the "true stuff", the content for the Otaku Core, survives half-assed westernization attempts in the future. I really do. Most people assume that sex scenes are just fan service and all, because it is the case most of the time, but sometimes they play an important part in the plot, what are they gonna do if they decide to translate a game like that?Make up a new scene? And like ulti said, there are other scenes in the game that would be compromised with this, although I can imagine that instead of deleting those they'll probably change them a bit and add a lot of steam / towels or whatever in the naked scenes. Personally, I find h-scenes a drag.I liked them when I was a horny 15 year old boy lusting for japanese porn, but now all that I can see in h-scenes is some annoying moaning and a waste of my time, I always just cntrl through them. As it turns out, the vast majority of CGs are, in fact, H scenes. If they remove all of this, well, there's really not that much left. And to top it off, the HCGs actually look very good and would have been even better uncensored, so I think an All-Ages version is pretty fucking stupid. Thank you for your interest in our game. I am sorry to say that the game does not have any sex scenes. Explicit content has been removed, but original content still remain. The game has been rated Teen and above by ESRB, and has been given a 12 rating by PEGI. There are no visible body parts, by the game still possesses love content. There are kissing scenes and kissing sounds, but there is no actual animation showing that. The player can use their imagination in beach scenes, bedroom scenes, and bathroom scenes. There are implied and hinted meanings, where the player can make use of their imagination. There are beach scenes and bathroom scenes where the female characters will sport bikini wear, and have their body covered by water, or by towels. There will also be scenes where the female characters will be scantily clad. Thank you for supporting our game, I hope you will find our game interesting. You make a good sarcasm point OMA, but it's not as effective as in we have to choose over the two. People could have both, you know. And that's the problem in here. This isn't Yoake or Aselia, where we get extra routes and story for all-ages. Oozora may have a minor portion of it cut out and removed without adding anything new to it. It's understandable if the localization is facing hindrance or something, but as of right now I don't see anything stopping them from releasing an adult version. That aside, even in business point of view I can't see how Oozora will attract wider audience by being all-ages. There is quite a lot of H scenes surprisingly. Four to five for each character with varying positions (lol). Take note that I don’t play through H scenes much so I can’t say much about this. There is also an append disk where it adds a Sweet Love section in the game where you finish a route, it will add an extra scene you can play after you reach the title menu. Just yesterday people didn't know this VN was going to be translated, so I imagine it would have been a pleasant surprise for people who have heard of this VN or maybe even had a slight interest. I understand somewhat the cause of concern from some people regarding censorship and whatnot, but most of you guys here don't even buy VNs. What makes you think you have a say in the market if all you do is pirate it? Anyways, I can definitely see them translating the 18+ version if the all ages version doesn't work out to well. It's not like they'd have THAT much left to translate. Wheelchair heroine. Enough said. And you could always download the 18+ version to play along side it. They're also selling this at a very cheap price. $30-35 for a 30-50 hour VN? It might not have h-scenes, but that's a damn good deal. It's about the cost of Boob Wars.. Actually, I could just as easily see them giving up on the market. They made the decision to strip the ero content because they thought it would *increase* sales. "hint:KANON" Note: I didn't say that the H-scenes were any good, all I said is that they helped sell copies. I think it's great that there's a localisation company just focused on all-age titles (since this implies that the VNs will have some semblence of a story and won't just basically be porn), but I'm just worried that the rest of the community won't agree and they won't get many sales...I hope I'm wrong about this, since more translations are always good (bar machine translations, but that is non-applicable here). In addition, it was really great that they actually took time to talk the the community a bit about their decision. Shows that they're at least willing to listen, which is a good start to their business. And yeah, it seems as if my fears were mostly unfounded on the translation front (I still think there were a few parts that were a little rough, but with a bit of editing and TLC it'll be a good quality translation). All in all, really great news. Unfortunately, that means I have to scrounge 30ish dollars somewhere in order to buy the game... and I don't think they accept bottlecaps as a form of currency.
