desi 53
While the fan translation section looks pretty unappealing this week, Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort and Subahibi are still getting progress "behind the scenes" and are both closer to a release.

Aynil 12
Sad week again. Btw is there any fans of Fault Milestone? I liked the first fault milestone, was pretty hype about this one, although the first one had some issues, hope it doesn't happen on this one, I would probly buy it on steam but I have no money atm. Decay 25
Do anybody know if Koisuru Natsu no Last Resort works on Acer netbooks? i recall I couldn't play Konosora, which is from the same developer. IIRC, Konosora required at least a 1280x720 resolution. If your netbook's screen doesn't have at least that many vertical and horizontal lines, it can't run the game. I remember someone on Fuwanovel being cockblocked by having a 1024x768 display. I do not know for sure about Koirizo's requirements, but I give it a 90% chance that it will be the same. Dragondraco 11
k, never gonna be installed EVER. thanks for the advice. My advice would be to try one out. They aren't great stories compared to some of the amazing VNs out there but they can be ok to pass a boring afternoon or something. Really though everyone has different taste that may not match your own. You should just try stuff out for yourself and make your own decision.

Decay 25
Odds are that we will get BB 2 by April First. So he's going to finish his current project and then start BB2 and finish that as well in 8 months? Sounds kind of doubtful to be honest.
Harlequin 17
Shiny Days So... They were making some special installer for the digital version to make the download process smoother, according to their blog, and that's why it's taking time. But the game itself is already complete and ready as far as I know, and it's the 18th tomorrow... so will the physical version perhaps ship earlier than the digital version will be available? Unless the digital version comes out today or tomorrow. Oh well.
jbeckman 19
So... Oh well. There's some additional bits of info on their forums about the status of said installer and why they are doing it but it looks to be about ready now though I'm pretty certain they'll get both out by the same time now instead of pushing the digital release earlier since it's not much of a difference anymore. (Since as you said it's the 18th tomorrow, Friday.) https://connect.jastusa.com/support/discussions/topics/5000047459/page/29 Tim said 13 days ago @sanahtlig: We were all helping out with the J-List site renewal (and the dev log, and improvements to jastusa's backend and (still) getting the new forums ready for launch... we had not really though of developing an improved installer. It came up in discussion as a thought because the final master ended up being our biggest game yet, so we'd want an installer that had some sort of error checking built in to help with the (bigger) problem of the parts getting corrupt while downloading etc.. We had a test installer made while we were doing QA but it was scrapped for this newer one (if we can put together something faster for the time being and teach customers how to check md5, that may help us get the game out a few days earlier, either way, we are trying our best to get this game out as fast and as best we can. Tim said 13 days ago One of the perks to the new distribution system on JAST is that it will be repository style. So we'd automatically switch over to the automatic installer as soon as we had it ready (assuming we are seriously going to push for those few extra days.) I'm less worried about the customer service side and more about customer frustration, having to "learn" a new "skill" to get a game working. There are enough problems as is with games that trigger false positives with antiviruses, that I think any more layers of "work" needed from the customer for a game to work properly should not be added. I'm sure with many more tech savy users or just above average in computer skill, it wouldn't be a problem, but for the average user, having to do a hash check on each file, and perhaps having to redownload would be a big point of frustration that we wouldn't want to put on anyone. I had to copy the files back and forth from different test machines and vboxes... and I was pretty frustrated (usb3.0 drives to SSDs or just across HDDs within my computer during testing) so I can imagine if someone is downloading this monster. It is well worth it though, I want wait to see what other's think (so many funny endings too...) Tim said 2 days ago Mouse pad is rubber mat style with a laminated top (not cloth). so if anything were to spill on it, wipe with a damp cloth... Installer is still in the works. When I know I will definitely make an announcement, but I have little control over how fast people can work. Tim said 2 days ago That is my presumption. It's estimated to be another 6-8 hours of work if all goes well from what I'm told. EDIT: Of course since tomorrow is when they start sending out the new physical versions (As I understood it at least.) the digital release will still be available earlier than people will receive the disc version so it's better than before when Jast withheld the digital releases for about two weeks or so to be fair for those buying and having to wait for their physical purchase to arrive. (I believe those buying the physical version also get a code for downloading it digitally so they can get it early as well, though in this case the game is somewhere around 17 to 18 GB packed and around 22 - 23 when fully unpacked/installed so for those on limited bandwidth connection or having metered download caps it'll still be a bit problematic due to the size of the game.)
