Personally, I can see the view of those who enjoy it. While I'm not a huge Loli fan myself, I have run into decently good experiences from VN's. Koihime Musou comes to mind with having a couple very good Loli characters. With the trouble of telling people in real life about VN's and your own fetishes being the root of this issue, I think it comes back to that question once again. It's not something that I'd bring up in casual conversation, it would need to be someone I trusted and was getting to know better than a common acquaintance. And even then, what we call Loli freely on the net is vastly extreme and taboo to most people(usually due to that lack of understanding), so a full reveal of that might be even harder to come by. Better talk about things like this with someone that already knows the subject, and one you could trust, one that already knows you for what you really are, not just some common acquaintances..People tend to remember bad things and forget the good things about someone.. I agree with this. The area I live in is particularly reactionary, so I haven't even told my closest friends that I'm cool with loli. Of course I have so many other fetishes that it's basically irrelevant, and the only reason I'd be telling someone would be to get a reaction out of them....screw that. I do have one friend that knows, because I got him into eroge starting with Saya no Uta, and we don't talk about it but it's implicitly understood in our relationship. Thinking about it, I'm pretty sure that everybody except for maybe maybe one person in my life would condemn me for admitting I enjoy lolis.
