  1. Because I'm bored, I'm starting a poll on whether or nor the VN "Hello Lady" (Hello Lady! | vndb) will make it's stated release date of "2020", which we are rapidly running out of, as posted on vndb.org.

If I set this up right, the poll will automatcially close on December 31 since we will have our answer one way or another by then anyways. Also, I've set the poll to public, so people will be able to see what you voted.

Click on either of the number of votes for yes or no to see who voted for what.

(vndb.org still lists "2020" as the release date as of when I wrote this, October 17, 2020, 4:49 PM EST.)

Update November 1st, 9:49 PM EST: I don't know specifically when they changed it, but the release date listed on vndb.org is now "TBA".

  2. Does anybody know where Kami no Rhapsody store its save files? I deleted it off my computer because I thought I was going to have to send my computer in to be serviced at one point (thankfully, I didn't) and I didn't want the tech people to see the existence of my hentai game collection, for both legal and embarrassment issues. When I re-extracted the game from the .rar files, my saved games are still there, which means the save files are stored elsewhere on my computer but I can't actually find them.

  3. I'm trying to play Kami no Rhapsody, but every time I try to start the game (not load the program but actually move pass the title screen) the program just closes on it's own and I'm back to the desktop. Yes, I'm using "age patch.exe" and yes, I changed my region uni-code settings.

    Specifically, it crashes when:

    -I start the game.

-I try to move to the "ADV" tab or the "Character" tab in the options screen".

-I try to select "About the 'Extra Episode' option in the "EU-Room"

When I next try to open the program, I get a dialogue box full of Japanese with the options of "Yes" and "No". If I select "No", the game starts up, but I have the same crashing issues. If I select yes, I get some sort of settings window full of more Japanese.

    Any suggestions?

  4. These instructions are for Windows 10 (anybody ever figure out what happened to Windows 9?) but the process should be similar for any version of Windows going back to Windows XP.

Open Control Panel. In the upper right corner, there should be a drop down menu called "View by" with options of "category" and "(Large/Small) Icons". Pick either of the icon options. Select Region from the list of icons. In the window that pops up, there should be two tabs at the top, "Formats" and "Administrative". Select "Administrative". In that tab, there should be a section called "Language for non-Unicode programs" that includes a button labeled "Change system locale...". That's the button you want. Select the language you want along with the matching geographical region and one computer restart later, you should be good to go.

  5. I know HRPGs aren't what you usually add to your website, but I'm having difficulty downloading this one from the mega.nz file hosting service. I'm assuming the difficulty has something to do with how mega.nz uses some sort of weird to step download process. When you first hit download, it downloads it to an unspecified location. Once that finishes, it then starts my browsers normal download process. I can get as far as specifying where I want to download it, but the download typically hangs up and never gets anywhere even an hour later. I would appreciate it if you could add to this site with the usual 200 MB .rar file parts via downloadani.me.

  6. I have few questions regarding torrents.

1.) What specific torrent clients are recommended and which ones should I avoid like the plague?

2.) After I finish downloading a specific torrent:

2-A.) If I move the file(s) to a different location, will the the client still be able to see it for the purpose of continuing to upload it to others?

2-B.) Will the inclusion of new files in the group, i.e. my save files from playing the game, confuse the torrent application, making it think I no longer have the files and start to re-download it? (Yes, I could just copy and paste a new set to use for playing the game, leaving the "Seed" intact, but 9+ gigabytes is a lot of space to duplicate needlessly.)

2-C.) As I'm considering buying a new computer in the near future (this one is starting to show it's age), will I be able to re-link, for want of a better term, the downloaded files to the torrent client to resume not being a leech when I finish setting up said new computer?

3.) How long does one have to continue to be a seed before one can stop seeding and not be considered a leech?

4.) What is a "magnet", which appears to be something related to to torrents, and no, not the ferrous kind you stick on your refrigerator?

  7. And I thought my poll shambled on for a little bit further as a the zombie that wouldn’t stay dead...

I don’t know the answer to your question, Marleneelics, and even if I did, this thread has nothing to do with your question, not to mention it is quite stale with the last post being August 25th of last year. If you are so obviously going to derail the thread, please start a new thread instead in the future.

  8. I noticed the acronym "TLC" in the list above. The only definition I can come up with is "Tender Loving Care" which kinda makes sense from the prospective of quality control, but I doubt that's what it actually means. Well I guess there's also "The Learning Channel", but that makes even less sense. All this raises that question, what does "TLC" in this context mean.
