Slight correction on MG's walkthrough on the second Sage playthrough (the one that starts on save slot 4), the epilogue you end up with is Red Nerine's, not Blue. Also, the Transient Nerine epilogue doesn't appear in the Extras epilogue list. And I'm pissed off that there isn't a Sage ending even if you fully woo her (I really liked her personality).. Just say so if I need to put anything on a spoiler box..

Sorry, should have mentioned her separately from Mai's route, she is easily the best heroine, if only she was one, I just have to duck some points since her mini-route isn't that great. THAT CG though was something else *wink* *wink*. I can forgive the "Boy, that escalated quickly" H-scenes in Key VNs if ONLY they put a full-length 3P with Sayuri and Mai.

I just finished reading Kanon this week, I can't get enough of the "uguu~s" and "auuu~s". As expected of Key, the feels were quite good, though to some the length leaves a bit to be desired. I'm a bit disappointed though, my version had some unvoiced parts in the Shiori route since I used a torrent, but the overall feel was quite nostalgic. Ayu may be the intended main heroine, but I somehow preferred the feels from the Mai and Makoto route. Thank god we have a store here that sells taiyaki (only choco-filled though), I started craving for it. Next up: Higurashi and Higurashi Kai (thanks for the recommendation and the awesome and very helpful pre-patched download Harle!)

I'm following this, Shingeki no Kyojin and Date A Live and I believe it's quite difficult to pick the best new anime this season between the three.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! I might look into those 07th expansion VNs Harle, I've heard so much hype about them. Here's a list of the ones in my HDD, read, unread, unfinished and some non-VNs I'm too lazy to remove from the list, posted in another thread. OMA, as for Otomes and BL games, I'll leave them to my imouto, she enjoys them, although they kinda weird me out.

My favorite would be age's Muv-Luv Alternative, with any of the three major Key titles (Clannad, LB!, Rewrite) and Type-Moon's Fate/Stay Night hot on its heels. Thanks to some suggestions, I'm going to be reading 07th Expansion's When They Cry VNs next.

I'm not in the mood for nukiges most of the time, so most VNs from JAST or MG I still haven't touched. The dark ones like Bible Black and Dustmania turn me off (sorry, just can't stomach them) and as ulti said, OELVNs, Otomes and BL stuff are also out. I think I still have a long way to go to read all translated VNs but right now I have nothing interested in. Might pick up KID's Infinity series or Liar-soft's Steampunk series, if I can get around to it. I've already cleared most of the epic titles save for the aforementioned ones and Nitro+ games. Maybe that was a bad idea, I really should have mixed in more nukiges to dampen my expectations.

That already holds true to me, I timed myself in FSN and I can't believe I had it finished within 4 nights. And that's with Realta Nua (which really isn't that long when added in, but I tend to listen to the whole voiced sentence before going to the next). Finished Dra+Koi in one sitting, now I'm in VN limbo (although I STILL have SDHQ unread and installed but unmotivated to open as of yet).

Just finished Moogy's newly translated Dra+Koi. It was short, unvoiced and has its plot developments coming out of the blue, but the overall vibe was pretty ROMANTIC. Exactly what the story aimed for. The good end was very cliched but it never fails to deliver the feels that come from such situations. Moogy dropped the f-bomb left and right in this translation, making the protagonist into a pissed-off, angsty teenager, not a tsundere if the tags in VNDB are to be believed. But the deredere heroine was very cute (even if she has big boobs). I give it a 6/10. And the mother was quite messed up. Seriously. What the hell was that? Now to play NitroWars.

Had a full-on Oreimo marathon (S1, True Route and first 3 episodes of S2) with my actual imouto just now (kinda awkward. But fun. I like wholesome animes). [spoiler=Season 2 Episode 3]Full circle! Damn, I did not expect Saori's older sister to have an all-star clique. Check desi's post for their specific identities. I enjoyed the episode a lot, especially with the details from previous episodes fresh on my mind and you can connect them all together just like that. It was an awesome, tentative end to our marathon. Can't wait for next week!

And how long did it take for Moogy to realize this, pray tell? Well, no complaints here. In the end it's us who enjoy reading VNs who win. Too bad for JAST/Nitro+ though, this will definitely dent any prospective sales if they do decide to officially localize the title.

TL;DR A non-reader-friendly quasi-review: I just finished the latest one translated Minna Daisuki Kozukuri Banchou. It has gameplay (bumper cars, lol) and a shitload of errors, most of which involved the DRM and my antivirus but I got to run it in the end. The most persistent glitch I got was that every 5-10 mouse clicks or so in the VN portion, the first line of text in the message window is blank or partially shown, even if the text display speed is set to instantaneous. This can be worked around by hiding the message window with right-click and unhiding it, or reviewing the text in the backlog (NOTE: I believe the glitch does not show if playing in window mode). Now about the VN... Well, it's not that story-driven, it's about a guy who makes a harem by beating schools and making wives out of his opponents and impregnates them to leech off state-provided welfare. It's a bit absurd if you ask me, but the story left me grinning at a few points, especially since we get a masochistic, klutzy, mayadere heroine. There's a total of 10 heroines and 3 more from the DLC, ranging from a twintails tsundere, an imouto, an emo(?) katawa shoujo, a mayadere assassin maid, a goddess, a swordswoman reminiscent of Meiya from Muv-Luv, a loli, a glasses kaichou, another mayadere mahou shoujo, a tall, athletic silent type, an idol, an elf and a robot (did I leave anything out? hope none of those was a spoiler). Take your pick pervs. The gameplay isn't that hardcore either, just a bumper car type of game, knocking off enemies from the platform, while getting pickups and stuff. The characters have specials that can be unleashed when a gauge is filled, save for the MC, who has to have a kid with him and the special he uses is the one the kid's mother has. The game is pretty balanced, with the MC not having any real strengths or weaknesses. The game's currency is BP - Banchou Points - which you earn after each mission and based on your performance (time left), bonuses (number of kids you have) and the penalty incurred by the characters you deployed. This is where the MC shines since he doesn't cost squat when on the field. You spend BP on stat ups and on romancing the heroines. My gripe is that you can't hoard more than 999 BP at a time, while most characters need about 300-500 BP to max out on stats and 500 BP for heroines to get to 100% affection. Note that 100% affection is not required to impregnate a heroine, it simply makes the fertilization minigame easier and 100% affection is only needed to unlock all the scenes to get the heroine's ending (DLC heroines don't have endings though - too bad). Did I mention the fertilization minigame? The most absurd part IMO. It requires you to run around as a SPERM, destroying obstacles (multiple hymens?) along the female reproductive anatomy (and the level is shaped like a cervix or the fallopian tubes, depending on the difficulty determined by your affection level) and getting to the egg. Easy enough? Try doing it with two determined CONDOM-LIKE THINGS hunting you down relentlessly inside said anatomy (don't ask me why that is) and a single touch from them gets you ejected out of the womb. And with a time limit to top it off. Thankfully, we get ourselves a gym, where we can grind away on mock battles and earn about 30-60 BP (provided you only used the MC in your lineup) per battle. Later in the game you get presented with an even bigger gym with more enemies and you can earn a max of 100 BP per battle (all children born, only MC fielded). All in all we get ourselves a great new translated VN with gameplay from Eushully's subsidiary Anastasia thanks to Aroduc. It may have its share of glitches, weak story and cliched themes, but it is a welcome addition to the growing lineup of English translated VNs. I give it a 7.5/10. Now, I want my Grisaia. I just remembered I still have yet to finish Kamidori... Ugh, 40 hours of grinding and I've still yet to do Yuela's route....
