Play muv luv alternative (third part) after playing the first two and you will change your mind. Muv Luv Alternative is rated #1 on vndb for a good reason.

Well its like this : go through muv luv extra , then unlimited , the alternative. I should warn you that i found extra borderline mediocre because of its setting and mostly unfunny jokes (except DORIRU MIRUKU PAAAANCHU! , and sumika gave me the power to continue) , but it is necessary go beat it for continuity. Unlimited is a prelude to Alternative so yeah beat that one too. And Alternative is putting it quite simple one of the best VNs ever made. It is very worth it to go through all of it just to get to Alternative. You MUST read it!!!111!111one!1!1111elevenone11!

Question : have you played the muv luv series? i'm guessing no? i also disliked mecha animes til i got to read the whole series , it opened my eyes.

Congratz in reading one of the best written VNs out there.

I agree with desi , Shirou isnt worthy of full-on badassery title.

id say the bottom one , has more kawaii punch on it.

Adding Taiga from Duel Savior as another badass main character.

Badass : Kenichi from Sharin no Kuni Tsundere : There are way to many to mention , but ill settle with Riho from Deardrops , she is very acceptable. Also Yuela from Kamidori (shes also badass) , vndb claims she's a kuudere LULZ , vndb can kiss my ass.

On a side note , both Taiga and Shana are voiced by the same voice actress. That explains much of it. WIN!

I remember thinking that way about F/SN's main character as well , but i had already known it was a guy before i tried the VN so it was just the first shock. And dont worry i can personally guarrantee you that Toradora is worth it , great eps with one of the most perfect tsundere heroines in anime in my opinion. Taiga is on my forum pic and profile pic for a reason.

I know what you mean now , at first you look at the VN through the eyes of a girl , yes. But yeah , the main character is a guy.

...F/SN's protagonist is a guy , Emiya Shiro. What you mean is that youre on a route with Saber as main heroine. After that one is done its Rin's turn to take main heroine spot , and on the other one is Sakura.

It still took me a whole while to read , in fact in considering buying the whole series in hardcopy right now on amazon , overall a very epic VNs series , and that ending... *off to amazon.com he goes*

Just finished Muv Luv Alternative , great plot very well written not to mention all the animations on it. Easily one of the best VNs ive read.

暗闇 Yami (darkness) 永遠 Eien no (eternal) Eternal darkness , reminds me of my days playing gamecube. Not a bad combination of names.
