I just read this recently, and I really liked it. Though the language was kinda hard on me.. I really liked how they depicted her being a robot so well. It really made you understand, that she is, and will always be a robot. But somehow, in the end I couldn't even shed a tear in this Visual Novel.

Haha, that is exactly what I am thinking as well. The game wasn't bad, and it had a story that captured the reader, but I can't say that I enjoyed it even one little bit. I still remember the time I first played it. (Which was just about one and a half week ago, but anyway) It was midnight.. About three seconds really in the game. I saw some weird thing, which I just couldn't identify, no matter what. I heard that thing making seriously strange noises, like someone screaming at me. And some disturbing music was playing. Yeah, so after three seconds I closed the game since I've been tot

Visual Novels Translation Status [Weekly Updated][02/19/2012]
Maxar replied to Ryu's topic in Eroge News
That is an awesome list. Definitely worth to check out frequently. I didn't even knew that some of the titles I want to read are in the process of being translated. -
I can't decide on a single one, but for me, these are my favourite Anime: Mahoromatic: Mahoro is just too adorable, and the whole story and the sad plot, brings me just to tears. Onegai Teacher: The first Anime I watched, and I probably watched it about 15 times.. It's a nice love story, which really got me, the first time I watched it. ARIA: Each episode is heartwarming, and so is Akari. Kobato: Same as with ARIA, though in a different way. Most episodes leave you with a nice feeling. Seto no Hanayome: Funniest Anime I ever watched. Some of the episodes were really outstanding,

Only since about half a year, or maybe a bit more. I totally love them though, so I think I'll keep on reading them for a long time

The only thing I really learned, was something about myself. It was the fact, that I really only seem to love Japanese stories. Though before I got aquantained with Anime, Manga and Visual Novels, I also did tend to read books or watch TV, from time to time, but never really been fascinated by it. It was more like I've been doing these things to let a boring time pass by faster. But now I actually make time to read and watch stuff

I kinda knew after reading a bit about certain Anime, like Kanon and School Days that these games existed. Before that I never really heard about those kind of games and didn't really know what to think about them. But anyway, one day I got Kanon and played it, since I knew the Anime, but that didn't really trigger my love for Visual Novels. I didn't dislike it, but I can't say that I thought it was addicting either. Anyway, another day I downloaded the Da Capo Anime, and watched the first episode, and was disappointed, since it was obvious that he'd end up with Nemu and not Sakura. Anyw

This is a Thread to ask for own recommendations as well, right? I'm in love with the Da Capo Series, and hence would love to read another Visual Novel similar to it. Pretty much a school life Visual Novel, with some Drama here and there, but an overall nice feeling

Same here. Though I personally don't know that much about it, I heard some of the BGM of it, and I totally love it, so I would just love to read it. And one I personally would just love to read is Mashiro Iro Symphony. I only watched like 4 episodes of the Anime, and I actually love every character. So I think I'll end up loving this Visual Novel.

"Clear all of the routes!" or "just passing through"?
Maxar replied to animaker9's topic in Eroge General Talk
Same as erogeking.. I only play through the routes I like, and don't play through the ones I'm not interested in. It also tends to make me sad, that when I just finished the route I've been wanting to read, since I got the game, and then start a new one. 'cause if it was great, the great story I just read practically never happened if I read another route now... Call me weird -__- -
What do you prefer playing? Love or Dark themed visual novels?
Maxar replied to Ryu's topic in Eroge General Talk
I like love - themed Visual Novels way more. How everything is nice, and the whole atmosphere is relaxing and beautiful. Plus, I'm a guy who can simply enjoy a work, without criticising it in any way. That means that I don't see as much flaws as others do -
whats your favorite type of heroine in a eroge
Maxar replied to erogeking's topic in Eroge General Talk
I'm all in for sisters. Just love them and their stories The ones I like second most, are characters which you don't really know. Like for example, the friend of your sister. -
have you ever been caught playing a eroge?
Maxar replied to erogeking's topic in General Discussions & Debates
I have never been caught reading a eroge. Though my sister sometimes came in my room, while I was reading one, but since people only see the back of my PC - Screen when they come in, I could still close it in time -
I don't read VN's that are mainly about sex. I often find myself being bored at even otherwise normal Visual Novels, with some Sex - Scenes here and there. And I also tend to stay away from Visual Novels, that have too much on the story part, and too less on the romance and different girls. And also, VN's that are too dark. For example "Saya no Uta". It wasn't a bad Visual Novel, and I can say that it was well written and interesting, but I can't say that I enjoyed it :\

whats the most important thing in a eroge
Maxar replied to erogeking's topic in General Discussions & Debates
The most important thing for me in Visual Novels are the characters. Well, I don't have to like them all, but at least one character should be totally likeable. A good character is even enough reason for me, to read through a Visual Novel, which has otherwise nothing that interests me, and somehow it always pays off in the end, since I always ended up liking the routes of the characters I like, undependant of any other things of the VN -
I'd love to read an Visual Novel of Nagasarete Airantou, and Hayate no Gotoku. These two Anime have some characters which I really like, but get like barely any good, or serious screen time, and that's why it would be great, if they would have their own VN Route. Oh, and I guess an VN of Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! wouldn't be too bad either.
