I seriously think that Touhou has a large range of popularity. Just try looking for something on japanese websites, like NicoNicoDougaDouga. You don't even have to try, and you'll find something Touhou - related. And I also know that fans from all over the world come to Comiket, since they are Touhou fans. The main reason Touhou just doesn't sell that much, might just be that about 99% of Touhou players simply download the games. Even at the release of Ten Desires, you could find download links, just two hours after sells started.

Meh. That doesn't mean you don't need good reflexes in Touhou. And I personally think, that you just need to be familiar with how to move in the video you showed. Dodging that on the run would be kinda.. Like Melancholic said, you can pirate the whole game series easily. I also did that at first, and bought them afterwards, since they became my favourite game series, and still are today And, well.. I play all of them, undependant of age, so I would personally say, it doesn't matter with which game you start. My personal favourite though is Touhou 10: Mountain of Faith. Touhou

The usual danmaku shooter games by ZUN cost 30 $ each. And yeah, you need pretty good reflexes, along with some precise movement skill.

One of the biggest reasons I like eroge is, 'cause I can enjoy a love - story with a character I actually really like. But I guess that isn't a reason for you then But oh well, there are lots of great things in eroge, so I can see why girls or anyone would like to read them.

I guess it would be better if people only post the words they seriously know.. Otherwise this will end up as a collection of half wrong/half true words and phrases. And also switch, yuki = snow onna = woman yukionna = snow woman It doesn't have to be a demon or something either. Just build a woman out of snow, and you could call her a yukionna

I'm not a japanese expert, but yeah, "Jikan" can mean time. Though japanese words tend to have more than one meaning, and that is why you use Kanji, to distinguish them. Like how "Kami", for example can either mean "Hair", "Paper" or "God", and it is pronounced the exact same way each time.

Yeah, I agree. I like shows like Clannad, Air and Kanon. But there is this thing, that they always chose, to animate the main heroines story, along with the other routes as side stories. I pretty much always prefer other routes though. Not only character - wise, but also story - wise.

You have quite a lot of Touhou stuff I only have 1 to 13, minus the fighting games, and of course tons of Touhou images and remixes. Didn't got around to buying them, since they cost twice as much as the usual games, and I don't like fighting games much. Yeah, though that one was different in style, it was still pretty addicting. But I had immense problems at the later boss fights Dodging Bullets, just with moving left to right can be incredible hard at times.. But yeah, I wouldn't mind it, if ZUN would make another Touhou Game like this.

There is no Eroge I'd like to get an Anime Adaption, to be honest. I like the very original version of things often the most, so I'd always prefer to read the VN, instead of watching an Anime Version of it..

Every site that is somehow related to Japanese Games needs a Touhou Thread. I'm pretty sure most of you know it, but for those, who don't, it is an "Bullet - Hell" , or also "Danmaku" Game series, created by ZUN. In Addition to the "I", it is watakushi, and atashi can be said as well. Other common words are: nani = what dare = who nai = not there kore = this sore = that kou = this is how it is sou = that is how it is da = somewhat like "to be" (for example, "umi da" means "It is the sea") desu = somewhat like "to be" as well, though it is unneeded.. It just makes a sentence more polite.

I started reading this for no particular reason, and really.. If it hadn't been for me liking Hinata, I probably wouldn't have made it through it. Most of the school life was pretty boring for me, and the ending didn't quite make that much sense in my mind...

I've been interested in this one, since Primula was my favourite character from the Shuffle! Anime. And really, after reading the Visual Novel I totally started to hate the Anime, for not getting more into Primula's route. To let her stay that emotionless girl, and not make her become that cheerful little girl is seriously saddening...

My first Visual Novel Read through Nayuki's route on one awesome weekend, and given the fact, that it was my first VN, it felt kinda special as well. But I never bothered to read the rest, since I already watched the Anime..

I started this one, since I wanted to read Sakura's Route. I didn't end up liking her route as much as I thought I would, though, but I got interested in Miharu while reading. So I read through the whole VN, to unlock her route, and seriously.. I totally loved it. I didn't liked any of the other routes nearly as much, as I did with Miharu's Route tough.

This happens to be my favourite Visual Novel as of now. I liked most of the characters, (I didn't like Otome, but given that she was the main heroine, that is no wonder, since I usually dislike the main heroines) and the whole atmosphere Though I felt kinda like they were making fun of the reader, like how some characters shared characteristics, and even names from characters of the first game.
