This is because the characters themselves speak weirdly in Japanese as well. To remove this is to censor their character. I don't think that's better. Also, those English styles of speaking indeed exist in literatures and other works. It's not made up.

Given it's a 2-10 hrs short VN, this would makes sense tbh While I haven't play this game, from one glance it also looks like a generic moege. Nonsense or illogical things are usually common with this length of VN, even some longer ones. The setting being about dragons is just to diversify the content. Imagine if they made another school comedy; people would be so bored with one it's not gonna sell well.
