  1. I think that the translation is fine, is the plot twist that is confusing. I liked it too though, is a very nice vn.
  2. About Extra and Unlimited This. MLA has it's issues (for me ----- I'm playing Higurashi; I watched the first season of the anime some years ago, so I don't remember it very well but it's me or there was stuff in it that wasn't there in the first four chapters of the novel? Because I vaguely remembered the stories of the first 3 chapters but not the last one and still, I remember scenes in the anime that I never read in the novel* (and I wouldn't think that they are from Kai because it has it's own anime adaptation that I didn't watch yet). * just two clearly, the scene
  3. I don't like h-contents, but I like this matter even less. I could understand two versions, one with ero and one all-ages, but not the "imposition" of something different from the original (and from what I got it's not only h-scenes but basically all the vulgar stuff... in for a penny, in for a pound); they should have choose a game that actually targets "a wider audience" instead of making their own, it's a matter of principle. That aside I'm happy about the news as a whole, hoping for the future releases to be vns with at least an actual all-ages version if they don't want to change thei
  4. So it's not enough that he tried to deliver a flashy psycho-shounen as a seinen, he had to state somewhere that he believes himself to be the best writer ever to be called pretentious. And then I'm the one who argues funny... as you see fit. You could have avoided a meaningless post like this if you cared so much for the thread not to be derailed, because as you should have understood I don't believe him to be talented and so I think that he actually tries all the time to impress the readers with something that he doesen't have. And seems like he's a genius at that. His work are ambitious,
  5. Lol. And why? Fate isn't pretentious? KnK isn't pretentious? Tsukihime? What is your idea of pretentious, let me hear.
  6. How good or bad G-Senjou is isn't important, Fate is way behind KnS alone (though I can assure you that 100 out of 100 my opinion about G-Senjou is worse than yours). But not because KnS is so fantastic that nothing can compare to it, it's F/sn that is... what it is. An "epic story" doesn't equal an epic storytelling and when you write as Nasu do you're just prententious, not capable. edit: Not to throw the stone and hide the hand, but I think I should make myself more clear; I'm no hater of F/sn, I pretty much like the story and my problem is with Nasu (and again, I don't appreciate him
  7. That's a very disturbing statement from my point of view, even if only a joke Btw it's sure that a few bad comments shouldn't refrain anyone from reading F/sn, because if we look at those the majority, overall, is very good.
  8. Some delusion triggers work as choices once you start the 2nd playthrough; until then, they have no influence over the ending you'll get (that's determined by the answer you give in chap 10). Here's the walkthrough if you don't have it and want to use it Dunno for Higurashi p.s. I strongly suggest you Kara no Shoujo and Urobuchi's works (Phantom of Inferno, Saya no Uta and Kikokugai) if you have yet to read them.
  9. I read... I hope for a proper translation. And for FH new tl to speed up a little.
  10. If the game itself is at least half as good I want to play it From Kimi no Nagori wa Shizuka ni Yurete: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VhNFfO_5dfA
  11. Wanko to Kurasou and Sono Hanabira 5 (Anata o Suki na Shiawase/The Joy of Loving You)
  12. I recently played it so I can say that Koihime is 40+ hours (but not much more of a round 40 hours imo) of text only if you read every scene, but the battles are quick... they are annoying and silly and one feels like it takes more because of the Ougi scenes, but they are still ~20 battles 10-15 minutes long, just think that the Home Base Phases/Battles ratio is pretty much 2:1. Is Shin Koihime gameplay any different?
  13. Are you sure about that? Because Koihime is quite long and, for example, on vndb there's written >50 hours for the first and 30-50 hours for Shin (supposedly the time needed to complete every scene). I ask because I'm not well informed but I know that Shin has an awful lot of heroines and it actually makes sense that it would be longer, but until now I thought that maybe there are more heroines but less scenes for each.
  14. Narcissu has valid writing (both), good bgm if I remember well and weak/mostly absent graphic (though 2nd side hasn't indecent art), Planetaria is mostly boring with the usual Key ending, has mediocre writing and pretty weak OST but nice art and Da Capo is simply bad, has average graphic with mediocre sound and bad writing (still have to complete it, done Sakura/Nemu/Kotori and half Moe's route... 4.5/10 material for me).
  15. Yes, so steampunk... Weren't Forest a game made with the money robbed from some kid piggybank it would be... well', it's too snob to be a really top-tier vn but it would be great nonetheless. In the previous page I talked about how Tanaka is sui generis and stuff and yes, I know too well that Forest is even more so, but don't make it sound like it's shit because is surely better than most of the stuff you rated higher. p.s. you gave it a 7, so I wouldn't even think that you disliked it, but your words don't match (?) That said, I think a vn with the quality level of Sharnoth is very
  16. Let's phrase it like this And lol, this is one of the rare times that I can say that someone here gave a score similar to mine to something (7, that by my standards seems to be fucking amazing, I gave more only to Kara no Shoujo -7.5- and Steins;Gate -8-). To all people, especially those who have yet to read it (free rant inside): imo CC is a valid vn as a whole, even after taking in consideration the downsides; Tanaka is sui generis, so his works are the "love or hate" kind of stuff and the funny thing about it is that one can -should- form his opinion about the story only after the
  17. I have to ask something too: is the fandisc fully translated?
  18. Seeing your avatar in this topic make me want to post Yang Wenli's quotes; back to KS, I'd say that
  19. I know that feeling, I'm playing it now... I've read Sakura's route, the writing sucked at levels that I didn't belive possible and to boot the story was lame; I'm now halfway through Nemu's route and to my surprise the writing still sucks, but less than before.
  20. Gunjou no Sora wo Koete ed (from Light, probably interest me even more than Dies irae) Saihate no Ima op Zoku Saturiku no Django random track
  21. Q: Is it normal that the guy at the beginning, Oikawa, and the 3 bandits that attack after the op aren't voiced when they speak? I can hear the voices of the male student that attacks before the op and Kan'u though and then dunno, I've yet to play it.
  22. Finished Demonbane. I'd like to know how much kb of text was in total and how much of it were adjectives asd Too redundant, but overall wasn't that bad imo. I could write a lot about it but I'm too lazy to do so... I'd say that art and sound were fine and that in the end I didn't dislike neither the characters nor their stories, but after a while I got pretty fed up. p.s. I've got an unrelated question about Soul Link: are there bad endings with story or some sort of relevance that one should play?
