I don't know if I understand what you mean, but somehow it sounds to me like you consider waiting as hard. I mean, I just live my life and then some day a translation gets released. It's not like I actually actively wait every day doing nothing and say "Man, that was worth the wait." in the end or something. :/

Haha, sorry, I wasn't trying to sound that negative. I've been trying to use these tools for some games, and the result just always has been awful. And a lot of sentences also sounded pretty funny..so those also slowed me down a lot. I guess I'm seeing stuff also a bit different since I'm learning japanese, but I just can't say that I've truly read something if I'd use these tools. Sure you could probably interpret it all right, but you would miss out on the whole style of writing as well :/ @OneManArmy I'll thank you anyway.. Not that I disagree with you on this.

In my opinion this thing is utter crap. The main point of a VN is what you read, and if that is mostly garbage which you have to make a sense of on your own, then it is just not worth it. Just wait till you can read japanese or till someone translates it, or don't read it at all is what I say to this.

I think I'm very serious most of the time, but I really wouldn't call myself mature either. And yeah, nothing wrong with being who you are. And this forum becoming too serious is something you probably never'll have to fear

Well, a bad habit of mine is since several years to bite my finger nails.. And a weird behavior of mine is that I see way too much in people's expressions, wether it may be chat or not, and think at the slightest things that a person might dislike me or even hate me.. That usually ends up in me not caring for someone anymore and ignoring them then..

In all honesty, I couldn't care less what opinions other people have about anything.. I did tell some people how I play VN's and they didn't even understand how a game could be made of only text to read. And none of the people around my age I know read anyway or can even speak english, so it is obvious that they wouldn't know about such games. And on a side note, I actually do find people around the age of 18 or higher with relationships and what not who like anime and don't think it is for kids and stuff.. But maybe I'm just lucky in that aspect..

Just to make sure, but you know that the "Install" field is the second button, right? Not that you think that it is the first, greyed out button.

Back to the topic of this thread.. I wouldn't use any of the things you mentioned, since I don't have anything of it, but I'd use my PSP to read VN's outside for sure. I have to wait one hour for the bus after school every day anyway, and I'm bored of listening to music the whole time -__-

It did happen to me in My girlfriend is the president. I liked Ell the most out of them all, but somehow ended up on that Russian presidents route as my first one. Well, there was that little moment at the beginning, where I kinda liked her, but that disappeared soon after. And yeah, after I've been trough about 4/5 of the game I suddenly thought: "Why the heck am I even reading this while I could also read the routes I like?", so I just started Ell's route then..

Are you refering to the torrents on Eroge Download? Ivan made them that way, so if a part isn't available on Downloadani you can still get that single part via torrent, and don't have to download the whole torrent again.

Well, in what way does it not start up? Nothing happens? Or do you mean that it is asking you for a Soundtrack CD? In case it is asking you for that, go to http://tlwiki.org/index.php?title=Never_7 and download one of the soundtracks and put it where you installed the game. Then choose the "Never7_English_OGG.exe" to start the game.

Well, that's to be expected. What I meant was, that when I downloaded both the original soundtrack, and the PSP soundtrack, the game didn't work, but when I deleted "psp-ost.track" which came along with the PSP soundtrack, it worked.

Game works fine for me too. Just want to leave one thing I noticed here. On the TLWiki page is says concerning the BGM download files, "To play music, extract one or both of the following files into your Never7 directory." Well, I went ahead and extracted both and when I started the game I got a black screen. You are only supposed to extract both folders into the directory, and then extract one from the other files, and not both. I don't know if that's obvious to know, but at least I didn't :/

There are ways. I haven't gotten the patches myself, so I can't really help you as in which to get, though. And as you're wanting to play Japanese games, it is always a good idea to install the japanese language packs, since otherwise there might occur errors.

Get Joy2Key/JoytoKey.. It is a program that let's you assign mouse and keyboard buttons/movements to a controller. Only problem I ever had with it is that it doesn't work for games that use the "Shift" Button. It acts as if the Shift Button is pressed the whole time, even if you haven't assigned it to anything. There are also controllers which come with a software for that already, but Joy2Key should be more than enough to play VN's with a controller.

Okay, I actually thought I'd never find this, but I actually did.. Hotfile Dual Phase v1.2.dlc You have to get JDownloader and then open this file with it. That way it will let you download an english installer for the game. I couldn't really find the english patch on itself, since like you said all links are dead, so I hope you don't mind downloading the game again. Hope you have fun with the game ~

I also did think that most of the stuff that happened would turn out to be a dream, but oh well... Most things didn't really fit in, in my opinion, but I wouldn't say that that made the episode bad.
