Clean out and try putting your fateha_savedata folder into My Documents instead of inside the game's dir - I know that is one of the suggestions over at Beast's Lair. And it doesn't look like it from the error string, but make sure you don't have any / in the .exe's name, or the folder names. only other stuff I can consider is the obvious motions, such as setting japanese local, etc.

Meh, I'm not really concerned (so long as I keep what little I have) - was born this way so it's hardly anything new - just felt like venting about the faultless ignorance of man. As for tech, probably not in our lifetime but certainly at some point in the future. So yeah, I have bad eyes - "legally blind" is the term - can still see, but it's screwed up and pisspoor compared to "normal" sight. Okay,okay, the truth of the patch: Yeah I've read some of the dissenting comments floating around as well, It's not perfect - but it's also not terrible either (It's alot better then "official" tripe like IMHHW). It's basically Nasu purists that "can" read japanese crying out about how inaccurate it is, yet showed zero interest to contribute when the project was still ongoing~ Basically FSN all over. People like to bitch, but actually do very little about it. I'm personally content with it, seeing how I dont have much chocie in the matter.

Considering the original Light Novel wasent a huge contrast of difference, I'd say the anime did decent; though I think I prefer the manga series they are rolling out if I had to choose.

I would say the new UBW series, but that is such a heavy bias I'll just ignore it as a option for now lol (plus it'll technically 2015 by the time I watch it). Honestly? I enjoyed Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei the most out of what I've watched this year - pacing was mostly good and it kept in mind it was going to go beyond a single season. Just waiting for that next season. -_-

Speaking of the Fate series though, I just finished the UBW Realta Nua arc with the Beast's Lair patch - I'm not sure I like the remade music Realta Nua brought in - some of it is good, but other tracks feel really off, "busy", or flat. Could be working on Air burnt them out abit as a added factor - with some luck they'll get the drive to wrap it up. Eustia though....I think that will stay a pipedream sadly. But hell, with Fate/Hollow actually being on its last round of QC - shows even hopeless projects can come rampaging back to life. (yes I can think of another title in a similar situation right now, but I will not say its name until I see an actual patch, knock on wood)

At Ryuuduo Temple righ? They are pacing it better then I expected, I figured they would be further by now. kinda frustrating since I'm already waiting lol, but pleasing that it has the depth the movie lacked.

Comyu is actually the first VN i've ever skipped routes in - I just coulden't approve of the sharp, random contrast in the settings' mood for the two (subjectively) minor heroines (loli, and kouhei). Which is too bad, becuase I had high hopes esp. for the kouhei, she had real potential given the personality trait they briefly touched on, but never went back to.
