It actually looks pretty interesting. It's too bad I've boycotted indie devs - been burnt by funding too many indie VNs that turned out to "look good in concept, lackluster in reality". It's abit frustrating to drop 30 - 50$ and find out a story took about a week to write (or so it comes across to the reader, heh).

Uncensored Version of Sunrider Academy Beta Now on Sale at Denpasoft | Sunrider Just for any not keeping track - if you're not a fan of Prefundia (cuase i'm not ) - they put the uncensored version back for sale over at Denpasoft. Keep in mind it's a "beta" VN... which i don't think is the best or smartest method to deliver a VN in...but oh well~ Still, figure I'd point you to an alt. method for any interested.

Funny of you to mention Saya no Uta, i actually just started reading it heh. I'm really impressed so far tbh. I figured with them coming out with the second one at some point it's a good chance to try as any. Hrm, I never did get around to trying Umineko - I started at one point, but work ate up too much time to really absorb it. First time hearing about Higanbana though, I'll have to add it to my vndb wishlist.

Da Capo 1 and 2 are nice options if your looking mainly for humor and hscenes - it's abit lowbrow, and there are some areas of drama, but I got some good laughs out of them. Besides those - the above options are also good ideas.

Time will tell I soppose, not like it hurts to stay openminded (a truth for life in general). A personal gripe I have with the whole business is how critical certain people are/were of TLs like FSN in years past, yet cannot back up their critiques with works of their own. He's always been fairly vocal about how "bad" Mirror Moons' TL was - I couldn't honestly say if it's justified or not, barely knowing english let alone japanese myself - but without showing how it can be "better", just makes it seems like alot of hot air. Noticed a troubling (though not at all surprising) change at VNDB for Mahoutsukai no Yoru (https://vndb.org/v777) - namely, the removal of Commie's TBA english version.

Another slow week huh? At least there is steady progress on alot of fronts. I suspect it will be pretty quiet until spring/summer, when most projects will have more time (basing that on the idea most are still in some form of higher education). There are exceptions like that Last Resort guy, but it's generally pretty hard to focus on "extra" stuff during university/college.

Anyone have a pasing knowledge on how to install them? Got my hands on a large chunk of the uppervolta batches, but I can only figure out the basic install stuff (the .vacs that can be dropped right into the plugins dir), and any basic mesh alterations (extract model.vac etc, copy in the editted mesh, recompress the folder as the new .vac). Basically having troubles with folders that contain .pngs and/or .neis - not quite sure where I should put them or how to package them~ Thanks for any help, if anyone knows.
