    were you trying to open system.arc? Cause it's the exe you need. Anyhow: -update your directx just in case. -repair rar/zip files with winrar and extract them again

    I have no intention to upgrade to windows 8 anytime soon, windows 7 is a solid OS, just like XP service pack 3 and i have my doubts wether windows 8 will bring something new to the table. Windows 7 will receive official support (either for software/games) until 2016 at least so no need to upgrade just yet.
