  1. Given this a fan translated title, does anybody know if I need to muck with my computers region settings, or can I get away with leaving it set to USA English?

Side note: Apparently, this is my 300th post.

  2. I here by predict that "The Shepherd" will end up being the cat.

No this is not a spoiler, I haven't finished even one route yet, so I don't know who "The Shepherd" is. I don't actually know who it is. Other guesses are welcome. Those who spoil the story will be subject to a week long TV marathon of little kid shows about playing nice in the sandbox with out sleep and only bread and water for sustenance.

  3. Dude! Dude! And more dudes!

I'm starting to wonder what is so wrong about the use of "Dude" in the translation? I haven't gotten out of the common route yet, so maybe it gets worse later, but so far I've only seen a single use of the word dude that seems out of place. All other uses of the word seem reasonable and in context to the situation. I have the game's settings to "Use Japanese Honorifics", so I acknowledge that could be masking some of the more questionable uses of the word.

  4. For the benefit of anyone deciding whether or not to play this game, as far as I can tell, while airplanes are big part of the story, it's more because planes are primary means of transportation and seem to be more common than cars. It doesn't appear to be a case of the protagonist attending a school specifically about air planes or some sort of air force military academy.

MINOR spoiler, also for benefit of people deciding whether or not to play this game.

While the protagonist get caught in his fair share of Rom Com encounters (i.e. walking in on a girl changing without meaning to), after the initial understandable pandemonium subsides, he isn't unfairly labeled a pervert/creep/etc. for what is clearly a perfectly understandable accident. Even the female victim realizes it really was an understandable accident. In my mind this is a good thing as far as story writing goes. While I can appreciate the protagonist getting slugged in the heat of the moment, I'm tired of them getting blamed for things that really aren't their fault and having their reputation unduly tarnished.

  5. Dude is used multiple times in the translation by both the protagonist to the heroines and vise-versa... in short just cringey translation choices

    Ah. Context established.

  6. Dude! Dude! And more dudes!

Okay, I'm confused. I'm not seeing a "trap" tag either here on erogegames.com or on vndb.org's page for the game. vndb.org character summary lists all female looking characters as female. The game description doesn't mention anything that makes me think there is a male love interest. That being the case, what's with all the "Dude" exclamations?

  7. I'm no expert on Steam, as I don't use it, but my understanding is that Steam does not sell 18+ rated games. Sometimes they do sell the 17 and under versions, and then if you go to the game makers website, you can find a free patch file that will mod the game into its 18+ version. Again, I wish to repeat, I'm not an expert on Steam.

  8. (Is it me or did this game appear AFTER Heart of the Woods yet is listed first?)

This game first noticed on this site as of February 20, 2019, 4:52 PM EST.

This has been a temporal announcement brought to you by napoleon's use of the way back machine.

  9. File this one under "Did not think it through" for the developers.

"Panic Mode" doesn't do a whole lot of good if the title bar and task bar button display Japanese text (given this is suppose to be a USA Release) and the window is just a black screen. The black screen will call attention in it's own right, and unless you happen to BE Japanese, where you would have adjusted your computer to be calibrated to Japanese language settings, that's just going to stick the nail in the coffin on the fact your not doing what your suppose to be doing.

  10. Nope, this is rather heart warming story about a guy who go around telling cute girl to join him in adventure and calling him Oni chan (no real incest involve)

and the guy pretty much ask for some consent before penetration happen, at least the penetration part *winky face*

*Outpost Omega J sits at his keyboard stunned for a full five minutes before he can muster enough brain neurons to form a coherent response.*

Do we actually have game designers who can make an HRPG worth playing?

  11. Two questions before i spend time and hard drive space downloading this one:

1.) Is this another pointless rape the heroine story? (By the looks of the cover art and the game description, I'm holding on to hope that it isn't.)

2.) Did we avoid ruining a potentially good game by not abusing the heroines but ruin it instead with blood-related incest? (I'm not holding on to hope for this one.)

I couldn't find a vndb.org entry for this one that might answer those questions, so I'm hoping somebody here knows.

  12. Minorish spoiler about the MC, but might be something you want to know BEFORE you download 24 parts.

Disclaimer: I haven't played very far into the game so what I'm about to describe might change before long, but I don't think I can stomach playing this one long enough to find out.

MC is constantly picked on by other characters, including one who constantly tells dirty jokes then some how manages to make it look like the MC is a total perv. On top of that, MC's classmates have insufficient IQ to realize that he's innocent after the umpteenth time when even a lobotomized monkey could figure out it's the other character who is to blame. It makes it feel like the world has it out for the MC to point that god almighty could come down from heaven, declare "This man is innocent you idiots!" and they still would blame the MC.

The author of this one clearly doesn't understand there is a difference between being a wuss, and having the deck stacked against you to the point it was never possible to win in the first place.
