The pop-ups on that site seem to embed into the page, I tried creating a script that would block them from loading. Took me a while to get it to stop it from coming up, but the page did not load as well. Well, i'm not a expert at this so in the future there might be a way to block them. Adblocker's only seems to block things that are separate from the page, so I haven't seen one that actually blocks stuff like this. That plugin is to bypass the encryption for that site... so, I doubt it will work with any other site. Browsers have their pros and cons, you will inevitably jump from one to another.

If you're using the school network then some sites might be unavailable(torrent sites are most likely to be blocked). I've also heard that they blocked steam on some Universities, if you wanted to play some games. Reading manga is no problem as long as you find a site that is hosting it. Do take note that sometimes when installing some other files(applications) it might end up in the language that your locale is set to. Just revert the "locale" to yours and it will be fine when installing other things.(rarely happens tho)
