  1. So, 4 years later I forgot most things here, so was happily playing through again. Was doing some farming in the woodlands, and came across the same 'something has lost it's way' event... googled it to figure out what was up... and find my own post from before. xD Mixed feelings about how bad my memory is, but at the same time, I get to enjoy things once more.
  2. I've not Finished Yume Miru Kusuri yet, but I still think it's a pretty awesome game, if only for a certain soundtrack of awesome. *boogies*
  3. Thanks for the bithday wishes. :)

  4. Thanks for the bithday wishes. :) Even if I don't write many wall o text's lately.

  5. Thanks for the bithday wishes. :)

  6. Yeah, not that surprised that Rewrite is slaughtering here. I swear half the people in this forum swear by it. xD I voted for Wanko to Kurasou myself, need to be more Nekomimi games, even if the premise was a bit strange.
  7. Actually voted Koihime here. It may not be an amazing game like some of the others in these polls, but I haven't played the others in this list, and I did at least like it. Aside from the pointless game element.
  8. Yeah... I sorta guessed G-Senjou would be slaughtering after reading the choices here. It's considered one of the best of all VN's so far. I don't even think any of the others in this poll come close. SnK might give it a try, but I disliked the premise there, so my vote goes to Maou and that amazing true end.
  9. No idea who these girls are. But I totally approve of the girl with the teal hair. *nods*
  10. White Princess and Eyes of Death all the way.
  11. ahwawawa... this is rough. I can eliminate some choices right out, still haven't played My Girlfriend is the president, and I couldn't get into either Saya or Hoshizora. Clannad, I did enjoy, but it had some really bad moments, and I don't think it will stack up against the other powerhouses in this poll. Uta was fun, and I quite enjoyed it, but the end was pretty horrible. So I think in the end, my problem comes down to three VNs I love to death. F/SN, Katawa, and MLA. Fate was one of the most epic things I've ever experienced. And I love Rin to pieces. However, the adult content felt a bit forced, and the CG art in the h-scenes were lacklustre to me. The story was amazing, and I played every last route, and just sat there overwhelmed after finally seeing the true end. Katawa was also a great experience. I'm not into slice of life much, but I just couldn't get away from this game. I played through every last route, and loved it. Lilly warms my heart as a character, and she will always be special to me. If I had to think of negatives, It had a few moments that didn't click as well as I might have liked, and there was little to no fantasy or difference from real life. MLA is the most recent VN that I've read, and it was amazing. I appreciate Sumika, but I'm actually more fond of a couple of the other girls in the game. The h-scenes didn't impress me at all, but the lore blew me out of the water with the depth of the world. Little details and technology were both great, and very slow to take it all in bordering on boredom during some in game lectures. There were so many epic moments, from shock, and combat without really having control over it in a game like situation, and there were the small little animations like blinking eyes, moving mouths, and the cold breath that I've still yet to see in other games. Ugh a tough choice... I think I have to be honest, and as much as I love Katawa, it seems like it dosen't compare on the plot level of the other two, so I will eliminate it and decide between Fate and Muv-Luv. I think in the end I was more frustrated with MLA than I was FSN, and MLA effected my emotions quite a bit more than FSN. So while both are really great, I think I have to go with MLA. The plot and lore really pushed me over. The story being FSN was great, and interesting, but it was based more on an almost shounen concept of battle, while MLA had this really great time travel/dimension jumping/harsh as well sci-fi world that you could feel through to your pores. So yes, after all this, MLA gets my vote.
  12. I have to agree with OMA on this one, Kanon was a great character, up until you entered her route. Then the just felt like they were trolling you. It was just not what i expected at all. And yes, everyone who hasn't made it through the true route needs to keep chugging along. This is one game that I highly suggest you make your way through to the final route. Everything else is lackluster in comparison.
  13. Gotta go with the Sumki- I mean Muv Love A here. Awesome game. On many levels. Still haven't seen a game with those little animation touches like the puffs of cold breath.
  14. You sir get a bonus cookie for that Phantasm gif signature. :)

  15. *Quietly sits over in the Tsukihime corner, playing with his Type-Moon figures and enjoying the images and gifs linked in this thread far more than the poll itself.*
  16. Yep, It's Trinity Seven, though you got some of the details wrong in that summary. It's close enough though. Good series.
  17. ... Sumika does have some nice pictures out there. >.> Just sayin.. Anyway, Happy Anniversary forum. *tosses confetti and swirls a noisemaker*
  18. *sigh* yes, because it being all ages is the only possible reason I could not like Rewrite. Of course.
  19. Ugh, yeah, I'm not going to vote for rewrite. I've had better luck enjoying flash games... My vote goes to Tsukihime. I'm very much looking forward to the remake. That said, lots of popular games up there this week. Makes me feel bad for games like tasty shafts, and meow meow.
  20. I'm a bit late posting here, but the one that I would recommend for your mystery, gore, action and even some romance genre would be Baccano! Highlander meets gangsters in the 40's with a kick ass swing soundtrack. That's all you need to know.
  21. There's actually a handful of novels that have subtitled anime that I'm waiting to be translated. Things like Air, Tayutama, and Fortune Arterial off the top of my head. Some with better anime versions than others, but I enjoyed them, and wouldn't mind playing them. But I need English. It's sad to admit, but there's this massive language wall, and being a typical lazy american; I just don't have the push to spend the effort on learning Japanese.
  22. I might think about voting for Tayutama if it was translated. xD I did enjoy the anime of it at least. (likely wouldn't be able to go against F/SN though, no)
  23. Thought this was supposed to be a troublesome choice this time around? XD Fate is going to clean up, even if a few people don't like it, it's popularity and sheer number of fans makes it really a no contest. Personally, I think it's an awesome game. Especially the ideas of magic, and the true end.
  24. Not sure Romance is the right word there, but I agree.
